[Axel POV]
"Lets rock baby"
"But before that, I'll take the tungsten knife. It might help me get out of a dangerous situation."
Leaving the test room, I was in for a slight surprise when I found a velociraptor with its back turned, sniffing some lab coats in the meeting room. "Fortunately, I closed the door; otherwise, the bastard would have entered and attacked me from behind."
Just before pulling the trigger, an idea crossed my mind. I reached for the grappling gun at my waist, and taking out the tactical knife, I aimed and shot the hook at the velociraptor.
The hook shot out rapidly, easily piercing through its torso. The sensor installed on it made the hook open, allowing me to grab onto the raptor.
With a painful cry, the velociraptor fell. With its fall, I activated the pistol's mechanism, quickly reaching its location due to the inertia. Before it had a chance to react, I stabbed it in the head, successfully killing it.
"Whew, that was thrilling. I took inspiration from Ada's grappling hook mechanics in the RE4 remake for that move, and it sure worked."
Chuckling to myself, I turned to look into the void and, with a mysterious smile, said, "You might wonder, 'You told us you were just a regular person. How come you're so skilled in such extravagant moves?' Well, dear reader, there are mysteries to uncover if you pay attention."
Shaking my head, I looked at the dead velociraptor and, with a smirk, made a teasing comment, "Oh, it seems like it couldn't handle the Mexican style."
Chuckling a bit, I proceeded to exit. Glancing around, I saw that the path was clear.
"It seems that when the power went out, the lasers were deactivated, allowing that bastard to enter."
"Now that the path is clear on this side, I can enter the library. I need to overwrite the data on the chip the scientist gave me."
Remembering that the chip would allow me to access a data storage room in the library, enabling me to take one of the keys for entry into the experimental laboratory.
Walking to the back door of the library, I entered it, aiming my gun just in case I encountered a raptor.
Seeing that it was clear, I focused on the terminal. Approaching, I began entering and overwriting the data on the chip that would grant me access to one of the many data storage rooms in the facility. Concentrating on the terminal, I saw:
<<Enter data>>.
"I type the numbers 3695"
<<Number confirmed>>
<<Showing 3695 magnetic pattern data for store>>
<<Please correctly overwrite the pattern>>
Observing that I had to place the cells in their correct positions, I proceeded to solve it. Successfully resolving the puzzle, the panel displayed:
<<Data writing completed>>>
<<Data 3695 store indicator has been turned on>>
Taking out the chip, I proceeded to navigate among the many storage rooms. After a few minutes, I reached the only one that was active. Inserting the chip, I heard a soft sound.
"Turum."
Looking I proceeded to take the only file there, finding an "R keycard."
"Great! I have two keycards now. I can open the door to the experimental laboratory. All that's left is to find someone to help me open it. But the most important thing is to restore power to this area, which means I need to head to the generators. I have to make my way to the conference room on the first floor because that's where the key to the generators is."
With my plans ready, I readied my weapon and exited the library, this time through the front door, where the sleeping beauties were. The robotic voice that had announced the power status must have awakened them.
Taking a deep breath to calm my nerves, I activated the switch, and the door opened, revealing the familiar hallway. However, my attention was drawn to two raptors at the entrance to the reception area, waiting for a potential victim.
Taking aim, I relaxed and started firing.
Bang! Bang! Bang! Bang!
Observing the gruesome way the raptors met their end, I couldn't help but exclaim with surprise and excitement, "My goodness, I knew this weapon packed a punch, but seeing it in action is a whole different experience."
The surprise was warranted, as the condition of the raptors was shocking.
One of them had a massive hole in its torso, large enough to see through it. One bullet had hit its stomach, causing its intestines to spill onto the floor. The other raptor was shot in the head, with half of its skull practically disintegrated, reduced to a mass of flesh. One of its legs was dismembered due to another bullet impact.
"It's not fair; with these weapons, it feels like playing on easy mode. However, I can't afford to get complacent; these animals are highly dangerous. One mistake, and it's game over."
Moving past the dead raptors, I made my way to the reception room, looking around and noticing there were no more raptors in sight. I proceeded to the elevator, and luckily, it wasn't too difficult to force it open.
Entering the elevator, I noticed an emergency exit at the top. Returning to the reception area, I took a chair and carried it into the elevator. Getting on top of it, I managed to reach the emergency exit and, with a push, I managed to open it.
Climbing up and taking out the grappling gun from my waist, I aimed it upward, successfully hooking onto something. I propelled myself up, reaching the entrance above.
Looking around, I realized it was clear. Without lowering my guard, I moved to the door on my right and entered.
[Conference Room Vestibule]
Observing the vestibule, I noticed many bloodstains, as well as several dead guards and scientists. I won't lie; it was a bit disheartening. Many of them had been good people with me.
Proceeding carefully, I continued my path, always staying vigilant. As I reached the intersection, I leaned against the wall and cautiously peered around. When I saw a dead velociraptor, I decided to continue down the path.
Arriving at the door of the conference room, just as I was about to open it, I heard a female scream from inside. I quickly opened the door, finding a velociraptor slowly approaching a woman.
Without hesitation, I opened fire, successfully killing the velociraptor. Approaching the woman, I extended my hand to help her up. Upon closer inspection, I recognized her distinct red hair – she was none other than the Dino Crisis protagonist. She was undoubtedly a beauty."
"Are you alright?"
"Yeah, you got here just in time. If it weren't for you, I'd be dino chow." As she looked at the man who had saved her, she noticed he was well-equipped. "Are you a guard? I'm part of the rescue team. Do you know what happened here?"
Shaking my head, I replied, "No, I'm not a guard. I'm an internal scientist who managed to survive this hell. If you're asking about why there are dinosaurs everywhere, yes, I know what happened. But it's better to find a safe place to talk."
With a touch of sarcasm, Regina responded, "For an internal scientist, you have impressive marksmanship skills. Do you practice duck hunting?" Looking at the dead velociraptor, she noticed the massive hole in its torso, furrowing her brows as she peered into the man's eyes and questioned, "And what kind of weapon leaves a hole the size of a basketball? But yes, you're right, follow me; let's get to a safe place."
Just before leaving, I turned back to her. "By the way, have you seen a key around here?" Perplexed by my question, Regina nodded and proceeded to show me the generator key.
"You came for that? Not to save me? I'm a little hurt, you know?" She was undeniably a fun-loving woman, maintaining her sense of humor despite the situation.
With a lighthearted shake of my head, I responded, explaining why I needed the key. However, just as we were about to leave, we saw the door begin to open. Quickly, both of us aimed our weapons, revealing...
I need to learn how to describe scenarios and situations as they do in Chinese books. any recommendations?.
What do you think, if it's boring, I hope you can help me with ideas.
