"we need supplies. Food, drinks, some random stuff I always wanted from the mall but didn't want to waste money on it." Jessica listed out.

I chuckled before snuggling into my soft blankets, "later, I'm tired right now." I whined. A loud slam made me sit up.

Everyone's eyes snapped towards the source of the noise, "are you guys insane?? People are dying. Most of us don't know where our families are, we could die any moment and you have the nerve to be joking?!"

Julia screamed at us, specifically towards Jessica and I. "calm down, we're just trying to lighten up the mood." Jessica nervously chuckled.

Julia's glare grew deeper before Cayden stepped in, telling us to just calm down. I shrug before lying back down, "I don't blame you for being sad, but you don't need to take it out on us. Trust me, once your anger subsides, you'll feel bad."

Her face softened, but still looked angry. I got up, tying my hair. "Cayden, Yukio and Jessica. You're following me, the rest of you, stay here." I say as I grab the car keys.

"where?" Casey tilted her head, I grabbed a butcher knife and my baseball bat that I stole from school.

"the mall, we raiding the place." I say as I give them a peace sign, quite ironic given the situation.

I locked the gate, giving them an extra, "do not open the gate no matter what." I looked Julia in the eye.

I hopped into the driver's seat, putting on my seatbelt. "Got the bags?" I glance back to Jessica. She nodded, giving me a thumbs up.

I took that as a "yes, we're ready" sign and left the parking lot.

"so what's the plan?" Cayden mumbled, I look at him, my eyes slowly narrowing back towards the road.

"I'm not sure, is this worldwide? or just in our country?" I hummed, my eyes focused on the road.

I look towards the side walk, seeing the zombies stagger slowly, with no sense of direction. Even making eye contact with one of them.

A small tight frown came onto my mouth, gripping the steering wheel forcefully as I make a turn into the parking spot.

"each of us get a bag, grab anything useful, don't go out of the place and don't die." I smiled at the last part.

They chuckled before nodding, "alright, lets go."

I slowly opened the car doors, careful to not attract any attention. We swiftly made our way through the doors and into the mall.

"Canned goods are important." I told them one last thing before walking into a separate direction.

I slowly walked, creeping along the isle. Peeking my head from the corner, I saw a figure slowly stumbling.

Without any second thoughts, I swung my butcher knife onto its head. It slumped down on the floor, not making any move.

I tip-toed my way towards it, pulling back my knife. "ooh chicken with mushroom soup." I hummed before grabbing all of it into my bag.

Let me tell you this, tin in a bag with a place filled with zombies is not a good combination. Everytime I move slightly faster, the tins will clang together loudly.

Wow Diana, really smart. You've just discovered sound. Interesting concept, really. I was about to take another step before a hand wrapped around my mouth, pulling me backwards.

I struggled against their grip, my screams being muffled as I fought back. "shh calm down, it's me." a voice whispered. I stopped moving, my breathing starting to calm down after the terrifying situation.

I turned around, facing Yukio. "Just why would you do that?!" I harshly whispered, slapping his arm in anger. He raised his hands, rubbing the spot I had hit him.

"I'm sorry but you would've screamed if I tapped you on the shoulders!" he exclaimed as if it justifies his actions. I glared at him, narrowing my eyes back to the aisle I was about to see.

"Come on, let's go." I hissed as I slowly walked away from him.

After a while or so, we gathered right back where we are. "Everyone okay?" Cayden asked while looking at us. We all nodded when suddenly, a loud bang made our heads snap towards it's direction.

"Yukio? Is that you?" a familiar voice called out. A girl slowly steps out of the shelves, her hair all messy, barefoot and her eyes shaking in fear.
