Following and Hunted?!

[Day 3... Uhm, bugs?]

[POV, Unknown Cockroach]

On the first day after she had woken up, the cockroach watched as the dried-up body sat up and acted funny, falling down once and then falling down again because some mini flying thing appeared next to it and talked in the giant's language to it, seemingly responding to some unknown words.

The dried-up giant, as she finally had a better look at it, was slow, much too slow for her, so she looked for food as it was walking to another weird injured giant that was walking around and making groaning noises without any intelligible things being said.

When she finally saw the dried-up giant reach the other weird giant, it stuck its top leg into a wound, causing some type of green stuff to flow down it and into the middle of its body, causing the weird giant to fall down, dead, which shocked her.

This made her realize that maybe she had to follow it for a source of food, but instantly that idea was shattered as the dried-up giant fell on the weird giant's corpse, starting to eat it for the next 12 hours, or to her, what seemed like a very long time.

She would occasionally rest and wake up, not following her instincts to lay eggs as a female, just watching the dried-up giant eat.

Waking up again, she saw the dried-up giant finally finish with a 'crunch' sound while lying motionless on its back, when suddenly its bulging stomach started to shrink visibly, accompanied by a variety of colors that she didn't even know the names of.

Finally, the colors were gone, leaving the dried-up giant, which seemed slightly bigger now, visible to her.

Watching as the dried-up giant made its way to another weird giant, falling on the ground with it, biting it, and making some dark stuff come out of the top of it and cover the weird giant.

Seeing the weird giant had disappeared after the dark stuck went back into the giant, causing him to shine again with weird lights.

Again, she was sure that this dried-up giant would become very strong, even though its hunting skills could use some work.

The dried-up giant made its way to the other two weird giants and made dark stuff come out of him and cover the two weird giants, wounding them. It then went up after it stopped making the dark stuff and made the other light come out of the two weird giants, killing them much easier than what it had done previously.

Although, next, the dried-up giant did something amazing: it made the bodies of the two weird giants disappear, making its antennae stand up in surprise.

Looking at it go towards the wood-covered nest where that other wounded giant she had seen come out of, she decided to wait outside while resting and eating, sure that there were not any other of its kind as everywhere was searched normally on a daily basis in the giant-made nest to kill her kind and other insects.

Waiting for who knows how long while trying to find something to eat or drink outside of the wood-covered nest, until the big light came up outside and shone inside the giant's nest, when finally a giant with bright colors on the top of its body came out, followed by another giant that wasn't the dried-up one but gave her the same feeling as it, shocking her because it looked like the wounded giant from before she became smarter.

The giant that had dark stuff on its head and a flat body on the front opened another wood-covered nest, revealing two weird zombies walking like her as she followed behind them.

In the next second, though, she was frightened because the familiar giant smashed the tops of both the weird giants into pieces with a casual wave of its leg.

She decided that she should go onto what was called the ceiling if she wanted to stay safe while following these two giants.

She proceeded to walk up the side of the nest with her claws and toe things at the ends of her six legs, scuttling up it like it was flat ground until she reached the top where the ceiling was and saw the giant now in a pile of another weird giant's insides, showcasing its poor hunting skills again.

When the other weird giant started to go towards the giant that had the colorful stuff on the top of its body and the other small creature that was standing on all four legs like her, the giant that was in its insides made the dark stuff exit him again, making it shape into some type of long thing with a pointy end like her antennae that went to hold the weird giant and then enter the top of its body, making it produce a very loud noise from its top.

The antennae on the front of her body and cerci on the back shook vigorously from the vibrations that were so intense, causing her pain.

Her eyes were a bit fuzzy, only seeing the outline of the giant that made the dark stuff get up and stand on its two back legs, walking towards the other giant and small creature.

When the fuzziness from her sight disappeared, she spotted something approaching the back of the giant that was standing on two legs, causing her to want to make a noise to warn it. Waving her antennae like that would help when the giant turned around and put up both of its top legs.

The something that was approaching was an even weirder giant with spikey things on the top of its body.

As the giant was able to take the hit from this other spikey giant, it went and lifted one of its bottom legs, moving it forward very fast, causing the spikey giant to fly away at a very quick speed, which was accompanied by a 'crack!' from its body.

Eventually the spikey giant stopped and landed on both top legs, with its bottom legs not being usable for some strange reason.

The spikey giant started to move forward fast, but not as fast as before, as the giant on two legs made the dark stuff spread across the floor and surround the spikey giant, who was becoming more vigilant.

Knowing that this was the end for the spikey giant after seeing what the dark stuff could do, she just waited for this to end and to continue following the giants, but when she looked away and onto the ceiling, she saw two spikey giants watching their companion get killed, which was normal for her as they probably wanted to survive.

Though when she saw that they were waiting even after their companion died and proceeded to follow after the giants on the bottom, she understood that they were still hunting them, just with more care.

She really wanted to let the giants at the bottom know, but then again, she didn't know if they would react like normal and kill her, so she decided to just continue observing and following based on her instinct to follow the incompetent giant hunter.

While she was following the giants on the bottom, she was careful not to get caught by the two spikey giants that were with her on the ceiling, positioning herself at the edge of the ceiling and following further behind them.

She was busy following them when one of them turned a corner after the giant that she felt a need to follow turned the same corner, which was followed by something hitting the bottom of the nest hard and causing the other giant and small creature to freeze up like they were watching something when another loud noise was heard and felt by her.

After the loud sound, the last spikey giant let go of the ceiling and dropped to the bottom incredibly lightly, making nearly no noise.

When the other giant and small creature realized that the spikey giant was behind them, the giant that had colorful stuff on the top of its body produced another loud sound, like the spikey zombie and the other weird giant, but a little bit softer at the same time.

As the spikey zombie approached and made them back into the see-through part of the giant's nest, the colorful giant waved its top legs and made something that was even hotter than the big light outside come out and cover the spikey giant, which then proceeded to fall on the floor, rolling around and becoming darker while it made loud noises.

When all the spikey giants were finally dead and the giants continued moving after they made sounds and seemed like they were going to eat the top of each other's bodies but were stopped by the small creature with them, the giant said something to it after it said some words to the giant, which caused the tiny creature to become the deadliest creature that she had ever felt before, nearly making her drop from the ceiling from fear.

The giant seemed to also sense this and said something to appease the deadly little creature that she had begun to have an instinctual respect for and attraction to as they kept walking towards somewhere.

This continued, but she kept having to stop as the giant she was following kept looking up, causing her to be seen a few times already.

As she was walking, this suddenly happened again, but this time the giant didn't look away and even made her feel like she had been seen through and that it knew everything about her when she saw it had made a strange look with the things on the top of its body.

This caused the dangerous little creature to also look, and it also made a strange look appear on the top of its body when suddenly it started to make strange noises while placing its legs around the middle of its body.

Which caused the giant to look down and continue walking while it somehow changed colors.

While walking, she kept her sight on them and followed when suddenly a sound like 'keek, keek' was heard and she saw a weird creature that looked like what the giants called a "mouse", but this had weird bumps and stuff coming out of the bumps.

When the creature spotted her, it ran for her, trying to catch her as quickly as possible as she tried her best to go down the side of the giant's nest to get away... but things don't always go our way.
