20 Gods Among Us (Part 7)

The gods were in a state of reflection, having achieved the long-awaited victory. However, it was someone else who had won the glory in this war, leaving a bitter taste in their mouths. Zeus ordered Apollo to uncover the mortal who possessed enough strength to kill so many Titans, even his own father had fallen at their hands. While Apollo went to gather information, the gods decided to regroup on Mount Olympus, where the entrance to the new abode of the gods was located.

Days and months passed, and the gods divided the power they had gained in the war, establishing their dominions. Today, Apollo arrived with news about the being who killed the Titans. He entered the main hall of the celestial castle and positioned himself in front of the other gods to deliver the news he had discovered. The hall grew noisy, but at that moment, Zeus raised his hand to calm the discussions and murmurs forming, and he said, "What have you found?"

With a serious expression, Apollo began to narrate his mission, "Father, I traveled the world in search of information, and I found it. He is a being that existed long before us, perhaps one of the first beings to walk this earth. Humans call him immortal, and there are stories of his great strength and deeds. But most importantly, he resides in the south, where he has created a great civilization that surpasses even Atlantis. The mortals there worship him as a god."

After hearing everything he needed, Zeus began to ponder. After a period of silence, he spoke to the others, "For now, let us leave him be. Do not approach his territory. Although he may possess the power of faith, he is not like us, who know our dominions from the moment we are born. That is what makes us gods. Once he discovers his own dominion, he will be one of us."

Zeus, being a god-king, had hoped to subjugate Inmo using his superior divinity. However, he would have to wait until Inmo completed his dominion and connected to the power of faith, forming his own divinity.

Upon hearing this, the other gods did not oppose. Time passed slowly until one day Gaia burst into the main palace in uncontrollable rage. As a retaliation for Zeus breaking his promise to free her children from Tartarus in the underworld in exchange for the divine weapons, Gaia cast a prophecy upon Zeus. Only a few gods knew about this prophecy, and Zeus made sure it remained that way. However, it was evident that after that day, Zeus changed, becoming increasingly paranoid, making plans without the knowledge of other gods.

Things remained under control until the day Uxas visited Earth. He belonged to a race of star beings known as New Gods, just like them. He possessed a divinity. Uxas quickly integrated himself into Olympus, always cheerful and inviting. However, behind the scenes, Uxas sought information while sowing discord among the gods of Olympus. Eventually, Uxas discovered Gaia's prophecy and did everything possible to uncover its meaning. When he finally deciphered the complete prophecy, he realized that the final piece necessary for conquering this world was in his hands.
