Survival Evolved: Incarnation

*ALL CHAPTERS ARE FREE* With little to no explanation for their wiped memory, several survivors, referred to as Arkians, wake up on a beach on what seems to be Earth. These survivors have many differences, but the most defining one is Sky; The one with a White Stone on the back of his left hand. What kind of journey will Sky undergo because of this White Stone? Survival Evolved is meant to take place through the eyes of a teenage boy (mainly), meaning that some things he doesn't pick up on or connect in his mind are done ON PURPOSE. 2. Survival Evolved often describes gore/wounds in a gruesome way. There are many scenes in which slavery, human trafficking, or torture are talked about, so read with caution!

Sky and Dani VS Cole

As I pulled out my golden saber and it flickered in the morning sun, I focused in on Cole, honing my senses to understand the battlefield and allow for Dani to have enough room to use her ability.

There was only a small portion of the field behind him that was elevated and a small portion that was sunken behind us. Either way, the elevation between us would change if we pushed too far.

We were fighting near a large roadway with a bridge over it. We dove into what looked like a leaning path for water to fall down into, which meant that the closer we got to the sunken portion behind Dani and me, the more this battle would be reliant on the water and how it slowed us down. I had the ice still in my possession, but it would drain my life the more I used it... how tough...

The streetlights above us were crackling as they gained and lost power, and before I knew it, The Retriever was coming right for me.

I froze it in place, using 'Impulse' to gather energy with golden strands wrapped around it, and then launched it all into the ground to rattle Cole's position.

The Eye of Providence simultaneously activated in both Dani and Cole's eyes, and the two of them engaged in close-range combat.

Dani's speed was unrivaled, as she cut into his chest, stabbed two times near his hips, and kicked his jaw upwards. I couldn't figure it out exactly, but it looked like two Eyes of Providence going off at the same time canceled each other out.

Dani ran straight at Cole and used her gravity ability to send herself skyward. She reverse-gripped her saber and plunged it down into the ground where Cole used to be standing.

From there, I ran right past her, wrapping three strands around her saber, and charged in at Cole.

His Eye of Providence went off again, and he easily dodged each of my attacks. That Eye wasn't a big problem in The First Trial, but it seems that it improved with its reaction time. That, or the user was significantly stronger than Providence herself.

Dani pulled herself toward me with the other strand, keeping the last one in her off-hand. She caught on to what I was trying to do and jumped onto the opposite side of Cole.

We both pulled at the same time, and Cole was wrapped in a burst of strands that exploded like a grenade. It wrapped his body around, and I froze his feet to the ground. He could no longer dodge any attacks, and with Dani's ability going off with a spark and a loud bang, she imbued her fist with something gravity-related and punched him in the stomach.

It popped like a balloon and he was impaled with a six-inch hole right over his chest. I caught the flying mace head before it could hit Dani, and sent it back toward Cole with more power than before with 'Impulse'. Cole was hit again, and the ice broke. I didn't break it, but I must've with the force of the mace head.

With twisted bones and several impaling spikes in him, Cole regenerated it all in a blink of an eye, tottering over to his original position, and holding his hands up.

"COME!" He screamed out. Dani and I ran at him, with my striking first. I swiped right, and Dani came right over my shoulder, swiping left.

I jumped over her, pushing myself up with strands, and she reversed gravity to get up to my level. She pushed me higher with her ability, pushed Cole into the ground, and flipped over his body as she threw six golden sabers straight at each of his appendages.

It missed his head, left arm, and right leg, but the other ones got him stuck, and they all emitted gravitational waves that caused them to turn inside out. It was interesting what that ability could do, but I don't have time to be stuck in awe!

When Cole sent the mace head up at Dani as she was in midair, she couldn't switch the focus of her ability, so I swung at it, cut it in half, and grabbed Dani before we both slid onto the ground. I lightly lifted her off of my bent leg and we survived the fall with no injuries and barely any rough impact, running at Cole again.

Right, left, down, up, over my back, under her legs, Dani and I were perfectly in sync. She boosted my abilities, and I protected her while hers went off. We did no meaningful damage to Cole, but in the fight, I was allowing Avie to recharge her stamina for idiotically running at him in the first place.

Cole had two flying weapons, both of which were hard to predict, but luckily with Dani's Eye of Providence, she could somewhat tell their trajectory. With a simple bob of her head in any direction, I could tell which way to dodge, and which way to attack. We cornered Cole, slashing at his limbs, punching him into a dazed state, and throwing him deeper into the ongoing construction of the road.

After I threw him into a concrete pole and Dani used her ability to stick him to it, I collected the impacts from overtime, allocated the power into my left hand, and launched a punch straight at his stomach that rippled, destroyed the pillar, and vibrated the wall behind him. It was around ten feet from hitting him, but that vibration was enough as a warning.

Cole vanished out of thin air, an ability I knew he didn't have... somebody was interfering with our fight and saved him from losing to Dani and me. For some reason, I had the feeling that whoever interfered, knew that he was starting to take real damage...

"Dani, we should regroup with Illya. She might need help," I told her. I put away my golden saber and she clicked her tongue, following right behind me.

"What a bitch," She said. I felt pressure coming from her as her left canine slowly grew in size.
