Survival Evolved: Incarnation

*ALL CHAPTERS ARE FREE* With little to no explanation for their wiped memory, several survivors, referred to as Arkians, wake up on a beach on what seems to be Earth. These survivors have many differences, but the most defining one is Sky; The one with a White Stone on the back of his left hand. What kind of journey will Sky undergo because of this White Stone? Survival Evolved is meant to take place through the eyes of a teenage boy (mainly), meaning that some things he doesn't pick up on or connect in his mind are done ON PURPOSE. 2. Survival Evolved often describes gore/wounds in a gruesome way. There are many scenes in which slavery, human trafficking, or torture are talked about, so read with caution!

SKY AND AVIE VS COLE (2)

--Dani's Perspective--

"AVIE!" Umbra screamed out.

I hadn't realized it from the time that it occurred, but Avie, the person Sky had been working with during his time on Earth, was finally a real person.

She didn't just switch out of Sky's body, but she physically turned into a person that could operate on her own... I wasn't sure what happened in between that caused her to form her own body, but it greatly pleased Umbra, even bringing part of her motivation back.

"Mom! Avie's back!" Faith came running out from the right-hand side, dropped in by the higher floor of the near-collapsed building to our right. I watched her slide down and get near Illya to tell her about what happened.

"How did it happen?! Avie shouldn't have a body anymore... should she?" Umbra asked Faith. The two were locked in conversation, and as that was happening, Alexia ran over to Fudo who was standing in the back by his sister Alatus.

"Black Strands... that has something to do with it... I'm not sure this is my place to say this, it's probably not my business... but Sky is up to fifteen years of lifespan reduction," Faith told us.

It was like a collective heart drop, watching her bounce her index fingers together in front of everybody while looking toward the center of the dome. I felt a pit in my stomach form as I watched forward, thinking about what she said a hundred times over.

Fifteen years... Sky would die fifteen years before us... and Cole isn't even dead?

"He's killing himself trying to fight Cole...? Then, you were right, Illya. Sky is making sure that the person from the past cannot use his body to fight Eirikr," Umbra suggested. I turned my back toward her, thinking about that person she discussed... the person from four hundred years ago... the Sky from before.

He's awakened within Cole's body and is forcing the Sky Asterio that I woke up with to fight him... to the death...

"It's the smartest possible plan... the only plan that ensures that Quake does not win, to prevent them from retrieving the one thing they sought out to get. Sky's body," Lia mentioned. Even though she could analytically understand the situation, even she was still filled with a confused look, looking ahead into the dome with uneasiness.

"The years are going up..." Faith muttered, staring into the dome once more. I was met with such a pit in my stomach that I almost felt like throwing up.

Sky and Avie were bolting across the field, breaking barriers between sound and light. Sky was summoning more power than I had ever seen, Avie was moving faster than I had ever seen... and I was stuck just watching in total awe.

A boat fell out of the sky. Of course, I was naturally drawn to it, as a boat being created with strands in midair was irregular... but the boat was familiar.

There were shipping containers falling down onto the floor, a boat falling out of the sky, and several other buildings too. I was astonished, watching them spawn in with strands, I wasn't sure how to digest what I was seeing.

Right after I blinked, Sky was thrown into the edge of the dome we were all watching behind. I couldn't help but flinch, but Charlie and Umbra didn't even move as it happened.

Cole grabbed Sky by the neck and lifted him up, turning his body and putting it toward everybody else. We could see his face, disfigured with a blade stuck in the base of his nose, and his teeth slowly fell out of his body.

"Here's your leader! Doesn't he look just... terrible...? Wasting himself away, all for nothing... your face is easily breakable, and your brain is only so durable... but you still just won't give in. You won't end this pain as fast as possible," Cole muttered, with a hint of demonic possession on his face.

Avie tried to attack him, but Cole grabbed her by the neck and held her up at another angle, making her eye line connect to ours.

"The people you had faith in... being reduced to nothing but slaves of ash, doesn't it worry you?" Cole asked. He turned to Illya, and then me, with an even more wicked smile.

"You can't beat me... you just can't... I am everything the System wants me to be, I have Fully Corrupted, and I am unstoppable..." Cole muttered. He smiled again, throwing Sky up in the air, catching his body, and slamming him back down to the ground.

He gasped, pushing his body up while blinking slowly to recuperate himself. I was beginning to break, slowly shattering my stable mindset while watching Sky lose to Cole.

"Dani... stay low..." Alexia rubbed her hand on my back, slowly walking forward while crouching behind the upturned ground with a weird katana in her hand. I saw it earlier... but it was still odd-looking, even now.

"Everything Ali Asterio died for... everything Orion Danafall died for... you are a sin, a dirty pathogen to their names," Cole told Sky.

In the brief second that Cole's eyes were disconnected from everybody else, Alexia closed the entirety of the dome, making it shrivel into nothing, and slammed the bladeless katana into Cole's neck.

"YOU WILL NOT TALK SHIT ABOUT ALI ASTERIO!" Alexia screamed out.

The katana decapitated Cole easily, even without the blade making an appearance. It danced across the ground as she lost grip, and Cole's body slowly regenerated as she stood bravely. The dome had closed, leaving all who were vulnerable in Cole's path open.

"You're... an idiot..." Cole muttered, before breaking out into laughter. He put his head back on and looked up. I followed his eye line, only to see Umbra with her fist charged back and fire swarming her body.

"Not a Charred One," Umbra said to him.

A pillar of magma shot into the ground as the punch connected, charring Cole's entire body and scorching the ground underneath him.

Lia jumped over me with both of her daggers, and Lily followed closely behind too. I watched the both of them jump over with violence in their eyes... and a sparkling, white color to follow.

Charlie helped me up to my feet, "Come on Dani, we need to get you out of here..." he muttered. I planted my feet on the ground and turned my head to Illya.

She was stuck in the ground... she wouldn't move, she couldn't move.
