Survival Evolved: Incarnation

*ALL CHAPTERS ARE FREE* With little to no explanation for their wiped memory, several survivors, referred to as Arkians, wake up on a beach on what seems to be Earth. These survivors have many differences, but the most defining one is Sky; The one with a White Stone on the back of his left hand. What kind of journey will Sky undergo because of this White Stone? Survival Evolved is meant to take place through the eyes of a teenage boy (mainly), meaning that some things he doesn't pick up on or connect in his mind are done ON PURPOSE. 2. Survival Evolved often describes gore/wounds in a gruesome way. There are many scenes in which slavery, human trafficking, or torture are talked about, so read with caution!

SKY AND AVIE VS COLE (1)

Cole's body had been slowly repairing itself, not with the normal skin, but with the Iridescent Strands that I feared so much. Using Umbra's Gauntlets, Cole slammed both into the ground, running over to me with blind hatred in his eyes.

I side-stepped, yet it was hardly enough to dodge Cole's strike with the gauntlets. They warped into a sharp, orange blade that cut my shirt. Before it could scathe my skin, Avie came in to block the attack, slamming down with a golden saber onto Cole's opposite half.

It didn't go through his body and instead stuck inside of his forearm while he peered to my left-hand side, smiling with an annoying amount of confidence.

"Finally... a reason to fight... a reason to show you how strong I am," Cole said.

Avie and I connected our thoughts, dodging backward to back away from Cole, and slid on the ground in opposite directions.

Cole launched The Retriever at me, splitting it in a few different directions before throwing all of the separate blades in the chains at me, and turning his head to fight Avie instead.

She was by far the reason we would win, if any. Her dodges were fast, almost too fast for me to perceive. She moved so fast that the blue strands warped around the parts of her body that she moved to dodge... yet Cole was able to keep the speed matched with Avie, moving up to a point where Avie had to not only dodge but deflect punches.

I slashed at The Retriever, moving my body to dodge the strikes and slashing at them as they came closer to me.

My senses honed in, my sixth sense was sharpened, and the experiences in my life were reciting themselves as I continued to run forward, into The Retriever, instead of away from it.

Belle's Ice launched out of my hands as I ran at Cole, and before I could slash down at him, he removed his own arm from his body and threw it at me. When the elbow passed by my face, it exploded and sent me flying toward Cole violently.

I bounced off of the ground, waiting to feel Cole's grasp around my neck... but I watched Avie's eyes as I bounced once, and she flicked them upward, almost directly explaining what she wanted me to do.

Belle's Ability was sent into the ground, launching me up fifteen feet in the air above Cole's head, and allowing her to kick through the pillar of ice to cut his body up.

It shattered, flying wildly in the wind like a broken window and cutting both of his eyes out.

I tilted my body, pulling my hand back behind my shoulder, and readying Mom's Gravitational Ability to use against Cole.

As soon as my arm cocked back, Cole's body vanished and appeared right above me.

That wasn't speed... he teleported...

I suffered the hit to my back, and let Avie counter the rest of the blast by catching me before I hit the ground.

She slid on her feet while putting me back on my own, and punching her fists together.

[Lifespan Reduction: 20 Years]

A fifth of a century...

"He's reviving my old abilities... I'm going to try to use them now, Sky. You may be affected as well," Avie told me.

"[System: Increase]"

[System Alert: Maximum Heart Rate Increased From 350 to 500]

[Warning, Exercising Maximum Heart Rate Will Shorten Lifespan]

I read the messages in my eyes carefully, and nodded, accepting my upcoming fate.

I ran ahead with Avie again, letting Cole pull his hands back to charge more power. Big metal containers fell from the sky, blocking all three of us from seeing each other.

When the first shipping container hit the floor, about five seconds passed until they all hit, and after the last one touched down, the first one was thrown toward me.

I split it in half with the saber and a giant boat fell out of the sky... I dodged the hull and cut through the sails with ease, but once I made my way to the dock, I realized that this boat was from the past...

Orion's Boat...

Cole jumped onto it, destroying a large majority of it with The Mace Head, and had most of his attacks blocked from Avie's Blade.

She held it widely, with the crescent moon shimmering in the sunlight, and I ran right past her right shoulder.

[Heart Rate: 360]

When my blood was pumping this fast, I could perceive things that I usually couldn't. This amount of blood flowing all over my body was pushing power into things I didn't know existed. When the blood pushed into my head, I felt it get heavy, and could ever so slightly see the future.

It was weak and very scattered. I could see slashes before they happened as if I was reading Cole's will to hurt me... several slashes were sprawled out like I had double-vision and allowed me to take measures to dodge before it became fatal.

I swung upward, letting the saber connect with his chest, and launched him at a strange angle, only about three inches off of the ground.

As soon as he lost his footing, Avie slashed out Cole's legs, crammed her heel into his stomach, and launched him into the ground. It ruptured, causing the large metal containers and the boat to slide into the newly created cave that Avie made.

Cole tried talking again, but Avie was just too fast for him to catch his breath. He slashed at her trajectory several times, causing blood to fly out into the open air when she zoomed by. She quickly came to a stop when Cole held up a weird white crystal in his right hand.

Before I knew it, his entire arm had white stones flying into it from everywhere around him. From all shipping containers, from the boat, and even sprouting from his own skin. They all coalesced into his right arm, sprouting white strands that led up to the crystal. Avie still paused, slowly scanning the environment.
