Survival Evolved: Incarnation

*ALL CHAPTERS ARE FREE* With little to no explanation for their wiped memory, several survivors, referred to as Arkians, wake up on a beach on what seems to be Earth. These survivors have many differences, but the most defining one is Sky; The one with a White Stone on the back of his left hand. What kind of journey will Sky undergo because of this White Stone? Survival Evolved is meant to take place through the eyes of a teenage boy (mainly), meaning that some things he doesn't pick up on or connect in his mind are done ON PURPOSE. 2. Survival Evolved often describes gore/wounds in a gruesome way. There are many scenes in which slavery, human trafficking, or torture are talked about, so read with caution!

Last Friend Visit

"That's how you think about people? Like they're fodder...? It's become obvious that you're no longer stable and can't be in MTG anymore. Parents, I'm sorry you couldn't get any consolation, just know that he'll be taken care of in Rubeki territory." Zach said. The parents of Richie and Dyna left with tears in their eyes and wrathful glares pointed in my direction. Once the door closed, I looked back at Zach.

"I wonder about that," I told him. Zach looked at me with a confused gaze.

"You seriously think you'll live against the Rubeki? Sorry Sky, not even an Asterio can last out there on their own for too long. You'll die before long and they'll get consolation." Zach said. He neatly adjusted the papers in his hands and stood up, walking toward the door to leave.

"You'll see. Unless I'm killed by your hands, then I'll live the Rubeki. I'll show you that I'm necessary to defend MTG, and this was a lapse in my judgment. After all, you've known my Mom since she was thrown out into the wild, you know she was resilient enough to come back in one piece. I'm her kid, another Asterio, I'll live." I said to him.

I didn't want to leave MTG, but with a challenge like this put into my view, it was impossible to not have an exciting outlook on it. I will kill as many Rubeki as possible and attract Zach's attention, showing him I'm fit to come back to MTG one day, however long it may take.

"Sky! There you are!" I heard from the opened door. Zach opened it up and everybody poured in, except for Illya. Shike, Belle, Alexia, Buusu, Mitra, Myth, and even Naomi came to see me.

"Oh... hey guys. Belle, you're alright?" I asked her. She was covering her face, wiping away tears rapidly while insulting me under her breath.

"You... Sky, you ruined your life! For me... why?" Belle asked me.

"You're my family, and when my family is put into that position, I retaliate. Richie and Dyna had no business breaking your arm and telling me they were going to take down the A-Ranking... Dyna stabbed me in the chest so I threw him through a window and killed him." I told them all.

"You really killed them... you got some balls, Sky. So, they won't bother the A-Ranking anymore?" Boo asked me. I shook my head in response.

"Amazing. I was wrong about you. I thought you... hey! Stop listening to me! It's embarrassing." Boo stopped herself while the others waited for her to speak. Did she want to tell me something privately? At a time like this? I couldn't help but smile.

"Never change, Boo. I'm being exiled into Rubeki territory, so there's a chance I'll die out there and never return... but you have my word that I won't ever stop trying and fighting. I will return here under Zach's recommendation and we will attend classes together once more." I admitted.

"Exiled?! Sky! That's cruel, I'm going to talk to Zach right now!" Belle yelled out, trying to stomp off. Shike grabbed her shoulder and shook his head.

"Sky, this is what you want?" Shike asked me. I nodded.

"You're the strongest one of all of us, saving Belle like that... and Zach is a dickhead for exiling you for that. We all hated Richie and Dyna, and if they tried to kill us, we would've turned them into red mist ourselves. This is bullshit." Alexia complained. They were all still so full of substance, even during a time like this... dammit, I was going to miss them.

"Don't complain now. I don't want to go, I want to see my parents one last time, to know if what I did was right or wrong, and how I can redeem myself... but they haven't come here yet. And soon, I'll be exiled without seeing them. It's scary, you know? Sure, we might live away from our parents, but they aren't really gone..." I said to everybody.

"Asterio... er, Sky. The way I see it is that in A-Ranking, we all have a new family, each other. Your parents may not be here, but we're here to tell you that... you're strong enough to last in Rubeki territory. Boo and I only saw you as competition because we knew how strong you truly were. With an Asterio competing against us, we thought you would be a prick who knew his strength and used it with full intention to stomp us into the ground and laugh at us. Yet, you never did that. You were just like us, and we understood more about you. I wouldn't be surprised if you come back to us someday after suffering a punishment like this. I hate to admit this, and maybe it's just to flatter you... but I think you should be in a ranking higher than A." Mitra said.

Of all people... Mitra said that? I didn't even know him for that long.

"You haven't even seen me fight at full strength, I haven't even done that myself," I said with a small smirk.

"I don't have to. Strength isn't what helps you win, it's something else." Mitra said.

"Wow Mitra, I didn't know you liked Sky that much." Naomi teased him. The room erupted in laughter and I took time to memorize everybody's face again.

This was weird, seeing their smiles knowing I wouldn't be a part of their lives anymore.

"Sky. Let's go." Zach demanded from me. My friends stood between us, but I walked between them and pushed them out of the way. Knowing that stalling wouldn't do anything.

My parents weren't coming. Maybe they were ashamed of who I was. Yeah... that made sense. After all, I'm a killer now, I'm not the Sky I used to be. Not anymore.

"Don't give in yet guys," I told everybody with a smile.

"Sky! I swear... I'll make it up to you someday!" Belle shouted out to me. I nodded with a smile, holding back tears.

"That's funny, you have tears for your friends, but not for those you've killed?" Zach asked me.

I wiped away my tears and turned my head back up to his. I spit in it and scoffed.

"Excuse my language, but your guilt trips are really shitty at doing their jobs. I don't know why you hate me all of a sudden. Last I checked, it's your job to keep students in check, yet you couldn't even do that."

"Right there is the gate to the Rubeki world. You'll be thrown out in your current clothing with no food or water." He explained.

"When can I come back? And can I wait here to speak to my parents one last time?" I asked him. Zach shook his head.

"I won't let you see your parents. I'm barely able to keep your mother in check. If she finds out that you were exiled, she'd upturn the entirety of HTG and MTG. I'll tell her you were killed in combat." He said.

So... that's it... Zach never liked my Mom, he was only using her?

I turned my back on him with anger settling deep within my core. I finally understood what he meant. Zach was right, I shouldn't have killed Dyna and Richie, that was wrong of me.

I should've murdered him instead.

No matter, when I walk upon this land of Humanity once more after committing genocide on the Rubeki population, he'll be my first target.
