-11 Minutes Until Providence's Arrival-
The concentration level between Alexia and I was blinding. Our synchronization truly made it seem like we were the same person.
As she slid underneath me, I tossed a spike of ice into her right hand, which meant I now had two usages left.
Alexia took the spear of ice and ran with it toward Famine, circling his back while I moved in straight ahead. He had to either turn around and fight Alexia or clash his mace with my sword... or... he could vanish.
Just as he made the move I predicted and began to turn to smoke, I nodded at Alexia. She threw the spear of ice directly at my head and I defused it, turning it to water and coating Famine's right arm with it. We now had an exact position of his invisibility as I froze the water and turned it to ice.
One usage left...
Alexia kicked Famine in the side of the head and he bounced off of the ground again. Our plan was coming together!
Just as he was about to get back up, Alexia enlarged her sword to a new maximum that I haven't seen before and dug up more of the ground as the weight increased and gravity dragged it down.
Famine retaliated by moving to the right-hand side of her sword, which is what our plan predicted our opponent would do.
With the tip of her sword close to me, I kicked the very top of it and scraped my leg, causing a wound to appear through my pant leg. I missed, as I made a mistake with my prediction where I would kick it, but Alexia was able to turn the sword and split Famine in half horizontally.
As he was split in half horizontally and on his way to repair his body, Alexia gave me the final nod and we initiated the last attack in our combo, meant to permanently stop Famine from hurting anybody else.
Alexia slammed the tip of her sword into the ground and enlarged it as far as possible. As wide and long as it would go, the ground was dug up as the tip of the blade fell out of it and toward Alexia. Then, she shrunk the sword, as small as possible. Now that the ground was already moving and it disrupted Famine's view, we had time to enact our plan.
Alexia kicked into the small chunks of dirt and scattered them everywhere, acting as a screen of fog that hid both Alexia and me. If Famine moved his body, I would be able to tell because of my ice and stab him with a newly formed icicle, which would also mean the last use of my ability.
However, if Famine didn't move and waited for our attack, I would be able to restrain him to the ground and Alexia would kill him. No matter what he did, we won!
But one thing we didn't consider is that Famine was so desperate to win against us, that he would cut off his own arm to hide.
With a look of surprise from both Alexia and me, Famine went missing again!
But the Famine in my body was reaching its limit.
I'm not somebody to have a sixth sense or a heightened battle sense, but something in my veins caused me to pause as if time slowed down around me.
The sound of fighting and swords clashing in the background went silent and I was stuck in a trance, looking at the ground. Then, out of nowhere, I could see it...
Famine's footprints were outlined in frozen moisture on the ground. I was tracking him with my ability, but that shouldn't have been the case, as I had already used every ounce of it that I could without dying. My body couldn't physically let me freeze anything anymore.
But that didn't matter.
I could see his footsteps and he was sneaking up behind Alexia.
I took action, stupidly enough, and pushed Alexia out of the way. The spiked bones on the end of his mace came up toward my face and before I knew it, my left eye was scraped out of my head like a piece of unwanted meat from a steak.
It flung out of my head with no effort, but I could still see out of it...
I was absolutely astonished by what was happening right now, as it almost felt... inhuman.
And as I was wincing in pain from my left eye being torn from my head, that's when I saw the most inhuman thing yet.
[A USER HAS BEEN REGISTERED AS THE FOURTH WHITE STONE OF KARMA]
[BELLE ASTERIO]
A surge of pain shot through my body and on my left hand, a strange, white shape shot out of it and the skin flew everywhere like a bomb was set off in my body. Strangely enough, the same thing happened to Alexia at the same exact time and we were both in shock as Famine looked at us both confused.
"Wait a minute... WHITE STONES?!" Famine shouted out. He turned his back to leave, but he couldn't do that too simply.
In my left hand, strands that I once saw Sky used form into the shape of a cylindrical handle appeared and made the same weapon. This was his saber... but his was purple, instead of white like it was in my hand.
"GET AWAY!" Famine shouted out. We broke into a pursuit, but it was soon ended by Shike's arrival as Famine tried to slash at him to push him aside. Shike absorbed the hit, put his hand against Famine's chest, and blew him into nothing but blood and bone dust. He instantly evaporated and the three of us were looking at each other now with triumphant smiles.
"Shike! You have one too!" Alexia shouted out. Shike nodded and his look got a lot more stern as he gazed upon Sky and Illya fighting Death.
"We need to find Miss Ali... she has to know something about this," Shike said, closing his hand and staring at it in discomfort.
"Did you guys see her too?" He asked us.
"See who? Who are you talking about?" Alexia asked Shike. He seemed nervous and put his hand on the back of his head, rubbing up and down.
"It's Dani... that girl. I'm not sure who she is or where she comes from, but she's pretty ballistic about seeing Sky. I need to find him and tell him about that girl. She punched me in the stomach pretty hard, even surpassing my ability to absorb kinetic energy, and demanded that I bring Sky to her." Shike said.
