Survival Evolved: Incarnation

*ALL CHAPTERS ARE FREE* With little to no explanation for their wiped memory, several survivors, referred to as Arkians, wake up on a beach on what seems to be Earth. These survivors have many differences, but the most defining one is Sky; The one with a White Stone on the back of his left hand. What kind of journey will Sky undergo because of this White Stone? Survival Evolved is meant to take place through the eyes of a teenage boy (mainly), meaning that some things he doesn't pick up on or connect in his mind are done ON PURPOSE. 2. Survival Evolved often describes gore/wounds in a gruesome way. There are many scenes in which slavery, human trafficking, or torture are talked about, so read with caution!

Belle and Alexia VS Famine (1)

-13 Minutes Until Providence's Arrival-

"To be famished is to be weak! Is to be negligent! It's to be a lot of things, but you know why we are so dangerous? Well, I'll give you a hint. It's because of what we can do." Famine said.

"I assume you're not stupid enough to give away your secret like that. However, your attacks can make us feel famished, I assume?" I asked Famine. The weird Rubeki laughed and nodded.

"Got it... so, we'll just have to be careful," Alexia added on and the three of us were now at a standstill, waiting for the other to make their move.

I knew how to counter Famine pretty easily, as my ability was the most free-range possible. Anywhere I laid my eyes, I could easily summon ice in any shape that I wished. The only drawback to my body is the more ice I summoned, the lower my body temperature would go. So long as I could keep my eyes on Famine, he wouldn't be able to make any fatal attacks at all.

When my body temperature dropped, my hair signified how close I would be to freezing to death. If the entirety of my hair turned white, I would die. Luckily, only the tips of my blonde hair were shifting into a pale white color, so I had plenty of usages left. Creating large-scale structures of course sped this process up, but I would never have to use that.

Famine ended our stalemate by shifting into smoke again. With one spark of a thought, I shot spikes of ice in an eight-foot circle around his position. I saw blood spurt from the air, telling both Alexia and me that he was hit, and we both charged in. I summoned a javelin of ice and chucked it with as much force as possible toward Famine and before it collided with his stomach, Alexia used her ability to increase the diameter of the javelin.

It shot a hole as big as my fist through Famine's chest and he was sent bouncing off of the ground while leaking blood.

He recovered swiftly by twisting his body and landed back on his feet, charging in toward Alexia. Why wasn't he going for me? I was wide open...

As he swiped at Alexia with his mace, she ducked, backed up, and ran in the opposite direction to escape him. With the white color slowly climbing up the tips of my hair, I decided to use my ability again to stop Famine.

In addition to summoning the same circle of ice that pierced his body, I summoned a thin wall of ice in front of Alexia. She ran up it and flipped backward off of it, enlarging her sword and slamming it onto Famine's head. It bounced off as he blocked it and I had to summon more ice to break Alexia's fall. I was about midway up my hair on my ability. I was summoning it recklessly, but I had to keep her safe!

"I see one of you is reaching their limit quite fast. Yet, I see no signs of fatigue from you, Weird Girl. What is it that you can do?" Famine asked Alexia, slowly piecing himself back together and letting the smoke swallow his scars and leave him with no injuries.

I usually didn't run out of my ability this fast, but I wondered if the Famine I was feeling had anything to do with it. It was strange that a hit from his weapon caused me to feel like I was starving and too sick to do anything, but it was just something I had to deal with. I was stuck with this measly sword in my hand, as I never wanted to use this as my main weapon, and I had to fight Famine now.

"It doesn't matter how quickly she runs out of stamina, it matters how quickly you die. Famine, you really shouldn't underestimate us. That's your final warning. Belle... take the lead for a moment!" Alexia jumped out of the way and I ran in, swinging my sword down on Famine. He deflected the hit from my sword and went to swing in toward the right side of my head.

A hit from that would definitely kill me.

With a small, yet calculated, amount of my ability, I summoned a sphere of ice in my hand to mitigate the strength of his swing. As the sphere shattered into shards of ice, I grabbed one between my pointer finger and thumb and enlarged it thanks to my ability to go straight through Famine's ribcage. He spit up blood again, but this time... he wasn't healing it back.

Now knowing this information, I jumped back and primed myself for another attack. My hair was getting even more white, which meant I had about maybe three usages from my ability left. I had to be careful, or else it could be fatal.

"I got it! Belle, switch with me!" Alexia shouted. I nodded and backflipped over Alexia, who was sliding in.

When we decided we were both going to MTG, we came up with a special move nobody would be able to block. It wasn't until we were both sentient that we knew how to perfectly coordinate how to do it, but now was the time to use it, while Famine can't understand what we're doing!

Alexia, who wasn't as acrobatic as Shike or me, was still fast and strong in her own regard. She was unstoppable when she had her mind set on something, and this pattern of attack that we have would prove it!

It's been a strange day so far, but it doesn't matter, as Alexia and I will end Famine and bring us one step closer to fighting this mysterious figure he keeps referring to as Providence... his end was nigh!
