Survival Evolved: Incarnation

*ALL CHAPTERS ARE FREE* With little to no explanation for their wiped memory, several survivors, referred to as Arkians, wake up on a beach on what seems to be Earth. These survivors have many differences, but the most defining one is Sky; The one with a White Stone on the back of his left hand. What kind of journey will Sky undergo because of this White Stone? Survival Evolved is meant to take place through the eyes of a teenage boy (mainly), meaning that some things he doesn't pick up on or connect in his mind are done ON PURPOSE. 2. Survival Evolved often describes gore/wounds in a gruesome way. There are many scenes in which slavery, human trafficking, or torture are talked about, so read with caution!

Alexia's Awakening

--Alexia's Perspective--

I couldn't explain what I just felt.

I knew I had the same face as Belle. So many things all happened at once and I was overwhelmed. So many feelings, so many ideas... so many thoughts...

I looked up to Sky and the others as they stood around me. Then, I looked at my surroundings. Why was I sitting down?

There are Rubeki around! Why am I not sweating?! Why was I not fighting?!

"What are we doing?! We need to kill the Rubeki! Come on!" I shouted out. I ran into the field, but everybody tried to stop me. I slithered out of their grasp and made my way over next to some Rubeki.

I haven't used my abilities in a while, but that doesn't mean I'm not proficient!

I grabbed the sword off of my back and held it with one hand, raising it up, and changing its size of it. It enlarged to around a hundred feet in length, and I decided to slam it into the ground, which changed the landscape and killed all surrounding Rubeki.

It shot back into the handle and I was left with a dagger. A Lion Rubeki came running over to me, so I slid underneath it while holding the dagger pointing upwards. I cut into his throat and down his body, splitting him in half and killing him.

Killing the Rubeki was that easy, so why wasn't I doing it before? I was so confused about the circumstances, but I understood them... I could understand, I couldn't before.

I changed the size of my sword again and again while fighting to either attack at a long-range or get into close-quarters combat. I didn't know acrobatics as Shike or Belle did, but I'm powerful enough so that it doesn't matter!

Again, I changed the entire shape of my sword to turn into a pole vault and jumped over another Rubeki. A Hawk Rubeki came diving in close to me and I came up with a strategy in a split second.

Using the fulcrum of my wrists to turn widely, I grabbed the top of the vaulting pole-like sword in my hands and twisted my body around. I swung it widely up from the point it was at on the ground and hit the bottom of the Sheep Rubeki running at me. It followed the vaulting pole as I swung it over my head and into the Hawk Rubeki. Quickly changing the pole into a sword, I cut through both at once and continued to run.

A surge of the herd of Rubeki started to turn toward me, but Mister Lucas covered my back by killing them in one quick swipe. He smiled at me and ran around in his large circle, running through Rubeki like it was nothing. He was... so cool!

Mister Lucas jumped off of various Rubeki and I wanted to mimic him, which explained the pole stunt I just tried. He used the environment perfectly to his advantage and I envied him for it!

I jumped off of fallen bricks from one of the nearby dorms and killed Rubeki by enlarging and shrinking my sword to pick up momentum and lose it accordingly. I could change the weight of the object and come to a complete stop thanks to my ability, and I could also gain speed if I used it properly. I was heavily leaning on the momentum and how much I could gain while fighting.

Belle and Shike finally jumped into the fight as well, throwing spears of ice and creating sheets that shot through Rubeki, cutting them in half. The area was going to become colder now that Belle was fighting!

In my eyes, Shike was really strong against a strong opponent, but Belle had untapped strength that I knew she refused to enter. I believed that she was stronger than Shike.

The tips of her hair were starting to shift color, which meant her ability was climbing to the limit. Her body temperature couldn't be too low, but there was nothing she could do without a ton of rest. She killed Rubeki fast and created a sheet of ice that fell on hundreds of them. They all died and Mister Lucas could take a break!

Even Sky was back in the fight, darting back and forth between Rubeki and cutting them up. I saw him as much of a role model as I saw his father. Their styles were similar in the sense that Sky was beginning to understand how to use the environment to his advantage. He jumped over bricks and ran up and down walls to kill more Rubeki. He could throw his sabers and curl them around walls if they were connected by strands and continue to fight. I couldn't do that, but I was unique in my own way, so it was okay!

I put my hands on one of the fallen bricks nearby and threw it, enlarging the size right as it left my hand so it acted as a large boulder to hit Rubeki and kill them. I took out maybe thirty with one throw, then continued to enlarge my sword to slam it down on the remaining ones.

I still don't know why I wasn't fighting before, but I remembered Shike telling me to keep my mouth shut when around Illya. I was skeptical when he was saying it, but it's a guarantee that something isn't right. Sky was never this aggressive to us, and Illya was added into the mix. It's the only common factor, but I don't know why.

He seemed like he was trying to ignore it while killing more Rubeki. We killed so many, but they wouldn't stop coming! What the hell was this? How do we make it stop?

That's when it started to click with me.

I wasn't sure what Shike was talking about with Miss Ali and Mister Lucas, but I knew something was wrong. Would the Rubeki ever stop? Don't they come from negative human emotions?

I looked back to the pile of bricks leftover from the building that I didn't throw, picking each one up and running over to a nearby entrance to MTG. I set them down and enlarged them as far as I was able to. Could I make a wall like this?
