Survival Evolved: Incarnation

*ALL CHAPTERS ARE FREE* With little to no explanation for their wiped memory, several survivors, referred to as Arkians, wake up on a beach on what seems to be Earth. These survivors have many differences, but the most defining one is Sky; The one with a White Stone on the back of his left hand. What kind of journey will Sky undergo because of this White Stone? Survival Evolved is meant to take place through the eyes of a teenage boy (mainly), meaning that some things he doesn't pick up on or connect in his mind are done ON PURPOSE. 2. Survival Evolved often describes gore/wounds in a gruesome way. There are many scenes in which slavery, human trafficking, or torture are talked about, so read with caution!

Buusu Achamo

--Sky's Perspective--

I cleared my head and didn't think about the fight for a while, running while in combat and eventually meeting up with Boo, Mitra, and Myth. I wasn't aware of Myth or Mitra's abilities, but it worked with Boo.

I decided to join in and clear out even more Rubeki around them, giving us a brief moment to talk.

"There you are. How's your end holding up? We're getting tired here." Boo said while panting. She was dripping in sweat, I guess she was trying harder than anybody else. After all, her ability had limited uses. If she used it all, she would be left without any use.

I thought about my small fight with Shike and decided to bring up the conflict that was going on in the background.

"Boo... I need to ask you something. Are you certain that something is going on with Illya?" I asked. Without missing a beat, she nodded her head.

"Ali gave me the strands and made me sentient, just like Shike. Just like you. Before, we couldn't make any decisions of our will, but now we can. For instance..." Boo said. She sheathed her katana and turned her head, slapping me in the face. I was dazed again and looked at her in confusion.

"It would make no sense to slap you right now while fighting Rubeki. I should've only been focusing on the Rubeki, but you pissed me off when you didn't trust me." She told me.

Then, it was settled. Shike planted the doubt in me, but Boo watered it and now I was uncertain of Illya. She even said the word, "sentient". Shike used it as well, and they didn't have time to discuss this together. On top of that, Belle and Alexia admitted to feeling a change as well. That wasn't all planned, it couldn't have been. I trusted them because they were my friends, but now, I even have the evidence to back them up.

"I'm sorry I was being so dense. I'll trust you, and even defend you if Illya tries to attack you as she did with Shike." I told her. Boo, Mitra, and Myth all turned to me.

"Illya attacked Shike?" Boo asked me again for confirmation. I nodded, and Boo unsheathed her katana and started walking over to Shike's location as he used his ability to eliminate even more Rubeki in the distance.

"Hey, what are you doing?! We can't leave this front!" I told Boo, summoning my saber to kill some Rubeki that was leaking through.

"Nobody hurts my friends. I'll kill her, I swear!" Boo tightly gripped her katana and ran off with her ability. That idiot! She was using it that recklessly?!

"What the hell is she doing?!" I shouted out.

"It's a complicated story... Sky. Myth, explain it to him, I'll guard everything." Mitra said.

"I'll go as fast as possible. When Boo talked about Miss Asterio making us all sentient, she didn't mention that she kept her memories from before. Boo was raised as Buusu Achamo, the last name that holds power as yours does. Everybody fears your mom as 'The Singularity' or 'The Asterio', but they never talk about the Achamo name. Boo's parents were strict and she grew up with a ton of abuse." Myth said with a regretful tone.

"Anyway, every time your parents did something special and it was on the news, Boo's parents punished her, as a way to let out their anger. She was heavily abused, both physically by her father, and mentally by her mother. She hardly talks about it, but one day we were sitting by the bonfire and she lost her composure and cried." Myth added on.

"Boo went through a lot and from that day forward, she agreed to be the Hero she couldn't be. She wanted to save her friends if they were in trouble, she didn't want them to be subject to the same torture as she was. She took on the missions because she could handle the stress, she didn't want to subject us to it. Boo is... Boo is the kind of person I wish I could be. She takes on a lot. When Boo heard about Richie and Dyna breaking Belle's arm that long time ago, it took both Mitra and I to hold her back from killing them. But it looked like they died anyway. Boo was happy and respected you for that." Myth continued even more.

"Boo... she was shouldering such a heavy burden, and never told anybody?" I muttered.

"It's not just her. Several families are starting to rise here and now against the Rubeki. If I had to guess, Boo is probably remembering the trauma her parents caused and is working to make sure she won't get abused anymore. But, we all know that wouldn't happen, not with us around. It's wired into Boo's brain to think like that, so all we can do is reassure her until she snaps again." Myth said while turning to look back at Mitra.

"What can I do?" I asked with tears dripping down my face.

"Why are you crying?! Uh... if I were you, and you have sympathy for her, I would go and stop her. That's our friend after all. She's driven by the unbearable hatred that was brewing while she suffered that abuse. She's always short with people, and her friends are the only ones that have any effect on her. Will you help her out?" Myth asked me.

Without missing a beat, I nodded, just as Boo did to me.

"I've been missing for two years, and I've missed you guys. Seeing any of you die, that's a pain I can't handle. I don't want Boo to put herself into a situation that would even bring her close to that scenario. I'm going. You'll handle it here?" I asked Myth, and he nodded.

"Go save our leader, Sky. We'll defend here." Myth said with a sharp smile.

Then, it was settled, I'll go and stop Boo from doing something rash. I know how that feels, as I've been thinking about it a lot recently.
