An undying resolve

Vather slowly stood up from the pool of blood and went out the cave.He could feel a terrible odour from himself as golden light immediately flared from his body disintegrating the blood and black impurities on him.Although it's still a little uncomfortable,at least it was better than before and he just need to head back to base and he'll be able to have a proper bath.

A new power course through every inch of his body but he wasn't in the mood to appreciate that.He could still see his meeting with that infinity guardian reverberating in his head.

"He said there are those chosen by the world's will itself to protect it,one of which is us the Infinity Guardians.I have the same sky blue eyes which means I'm also an infinity guardian, although a variant .I know I'm so weak right now I'm not even worth mentioning.But there are thousands of other beings out there who are better than me yet you specifically chose me to protect you."Vather said to himself as he slowly crouched down to the ground and placed his hands on the bear earth.

"Since you have place so much trust in me,then I promise with the last dignity present in my being"he said an undying resolve etched on his handsome face.

"I won't disappoint you"Vather said as he felt something he has never felt before.The earth,it was pulsing like a heartbeat,silently, subtly,and weakly,something he has never noticed or heard before but he could feel it.The silent pulsing of the earth from a place so far away from him,he could only zero it to the world's core itself.

'It's really alive,but I can feel it-it doesn't have much time."a tear drop rolled down Vather's face,as his mouth opened wide,he didn't know why but he felt as if he was the one dying making his heart wrench in pain as he hurriedly removed his hands away from the earth.

'Thats strange' he muttered to himself as he placed his palm down again but he couldn't feel anything at all as if what happened before was only a mirage,the only sign was the tear drop that was slowly being erased by the wind.

"Probably my imagination" Vather said to himself as he hurriedly disappeared into the forest,the sun was already setting over the horizon.

Arnold arrived before the familiar huge tree.A satisfied smile hung on his face as he was finally able to recover his cultivation base to middle core cultivation stage.Having been fighting and absorbing the beast bloods for some three days or so now,he was able to increase his comprehension of his slaughter intent.He was about to jump upwards to have a good nap when suddenly he felt all his hair stood on end,he immediately turned back, causing the air to revolve in a circle around him as his eyes paired into the forest,but he couldn't see anything,but he could feel something getting closer, something that was making him a middle core formation stage cultivator feel fear.

With his chest pounding madly within him,two blood red scythe appeared in his hands as he immediately got into a stance ready to unleash the most powerful attack he can.

The rumbling slowly stopped.The first thing he saw was the unmistakable golden light,then the golden patterned haori before it finally stepped out of the forest.

"Who are you" Arnold asked as he looked at the young man before him.Allthough the dress was very familiar,the face and height was no longer recognizable.This was an incredibly handsome face that was spotlessly white almost to the point of being pale.He still remembered Vather's hair being completely golden,but the young man before him has golden hair covering half of the entire hair while the other half was an ominous deep blood red colour creating an aura of a righteous and an entirely evil aura around him.

What made Arnold's chest still pounding in fear was those eye.The left eye,it was completely sky blue but it was emitting horrifying pressure as if staring at those eyes itself was a crime worthy of death.It felt he was looking at the eye of a being with a higher life rating than he is making his legs quake in fair.But the young man was even taller than he is as he stood at a height of two metres.

Creating a natural aura of supremacy around him.The Vather he knew was a stupid young man who was still growing his teeth but the young man before him was like an ancient human who was reawakened.

Vather looked strangely at Arnold who was acting weirdly.

"I'm Vather of course,do you know another person here in the forest or do I look completely strange to you, we've been together in the forest for damn days already."

Arnold slowly got up from his stance as he stared at the young man before him, but even though he knew it was Vather,he didn't know why but he still didn't put the scythe away from his hand as he held on it tightly as if his survival depends on it.

"You have changed a lot.Have you looked at yourself in the mirror"a scythe was thrown towards Vather as held it within his grasp.Slowly raising the scythe towards his face he could see an almost feminine face on the reflection.

"Woah, that's really something else" he said but inside Vather didn't feel that casual as he looked at the blue eyes,there was finally a change this time as a dot flashing a blue light could be seen in the middle of his eyes.

It seems his left eye is finally undergoing some changes.

"You've changed yourself,your aura is stronger than before, what cultivation base are you know"Vather asked as he could feel a powerful aura emanating from Arnold.

"Middle Core Formation Stage,I don't have any problem with the eye,but if it's making feel uncomfortable,then those with lower cultivation base will probably collapse in fear.It might be better to just cover them you know"

" No problem,we'll leave here tomorrow, don't worry much about the appearance it's due to my strange bloodline.Sleep well Arnold, tomorrow won't be a peaceful day."a young man with golden hair jumped high into the tree as his figure rapidly faded away.

Arnold stared at Vather as a doubting look appeared on him.

"He's undergoing his first emotional change,but he doesn't know yet.An emotional change only happens to those old monsters, what is it doing with a seventeen year old boy.Actually,is he really only a seventeen year old boy."Arnold said as he also rapidly climbed on tree and a snore quickly broke out on in the forest.

Shock appeared on Vather's face as a star shaped rune appeared in his left eye glowing a blue colour.He looked at the forest as the image of the whole forest was implanted into the star shaped rune. Every little information was implanted in his eyes.

The dark scaled ant crawling on the dark bark of a tree.Different beasts sleeping in their lairs.The scorpion like creatures sleeping deep into the ground of about 100 metres below the bare floor.

His mouth opened wide as he saw everything all at once and as if there were less than inch from his eyes.What shocked Vather the most was that everything slowly almost stopped before his gaze.The creatures he saw was moving so slowly it was if they were never moving in the first place.

His gazed moved away from the forest as he stared at the edge of it looking at where he was first teleported in the first place,the swamp.His gaze locked on the swamp as he saw the swamp snake in it,he counted the snakes as he discovered they were exactly fifty in the swamp.Even though it was dark and even darker in the swamp.He was easily able to see everything even clearer than at day.His gaze locked on everything below the swamp as he looked further towards the edge and saw a gigantic snake far below the swamp.It was almost three times longer than the ordinary swamp snake,and a dark circular rune on it.A dark aura was oozing out of it's head,as both eyes were closed.

Vather secretly used his system scan on it as an holographic image appeared

Vather slowly deactivated Eye of Infinity as an holographic image appeared

He sucked a deep breath in as he couldn't believe just using the eyes for sometime already cost him 300 points of energy,but he knew it was worth it as he could easily observe his enemies from very far away and it will also be incredibly helpful in a fight where his foes appeared to be moving slowly to him.

But he could also feel the incredible strain on his eyes as he placed his palm and covered it, that was only when he felt the pain receding slowly.

"Seems like I'll really need to start using a blind fold now" Vather said as he closed his eyes and slept off.There was a battle to fight tomorrow and he'll finally be able to leave this damn of a place.
