3 Chapter 3: On my way to my new home

Again I got woken up by the sounds of voices talking it took me a couple of seconds to realize I was not in the hospital anymore but in a really luxurious car how do I know that ..easy there is a fucking mini bar in the car if that's not screaming I am rich I don't know what does my Uncle was sipping on his drink scotch or whiskey by the smell I'm not sure what puzzle me is why is Helena here with us in the car but my question soon got answered by my Uncle!

-Helena are you sure you want to quit your nursing job and come work for us it won't be easy to take care of this child you know?

-Don't worry Mr.Smith I knew what I was getting into when I heard you speaking over the phone trying to find a nanny I felt like if I missed this chance I would regret it so again I'm sorry to have imposed myself...and besides the pay that is great, too much even, I just fell in love with this kid i want to be there for him.

-Well if I'm being honest I found it reassuring that you of all people want to be his nanny i haven't known you for long but I can see you are a good person and since you are a nurse... well ex-nurse now don't have to worry about his health I know you can take care of that just fine but you will need a crash course on house chores and cooking but this can be arranged easily.

-Yes! Thank you, Mr.Smith

-Since you are part of the family now you can call me Anthony, please

-Understood... so Mr..... hmm I mean Anthony where are we going i don't have anything with me can we stop by my place so I can pick my things up ...

-Indeed that would be necessary but you don't need to take anything besides your clothes and commodities

We can buy the rest or what will be needed after we arrive at the villa... hum do you have your driver's license, Helena?

-yes I do why?

-do you have a car?

-no I don't since I was living close to the hospital I never needed one.

-You will need one it will be part of the bonus for you to come to work for us so don't worry you won't need to spend money

-oh you don't need to I got a little bit of saving I can...

-I'm sorry Helena I didn't tell you about our situation I believe right, well you must have already guessed it but we have money but it is more than than Little Ace here is the last descendant of the prestigious Smith household you might not know this but Ace is like a prince well the family was never royalty but they did bought the Maldives when the war in Britain was ongoing they needed money and the Maldives was a piece of land they did not care about so since 1965 this country is governed and taken care of by the Smith family.

With this revelation, Helena was so shocked that her mouth could have fit an entire apple and it still wouldn't have been enough to fill it well she was not alone I know I asked Persephone to be rich but that's not just being rich damn I might be a fucking billionaire if I could talk I would let out a big fat "FUCK ME" right here and there!

-I was not expecting this said Helena with a palm still on her chest probably trying to calm her fast-beating heart!

"You are not alone Helena " but looking outside from the window I could not help to notice that we didn't seem to be in the Maldives looking at the architecture it seemed we were in the US most likely New York with all the taxis that I see and the tall building.

-so Anthony where are we going you said we are going to the villa are we going straight to the Maldives i guess your home is there no?

"Good question Helena I already like you"

-No I still have things I need to take care of on behalf of the Smith family here in New York we have a little villa here in the middle of Manhattan (image in the comment section) that is where we are going after we stop at your place are you living alone Helena?

-Yes I live alone I have a little 3-piece apartment just 3 corners away from here the door number is 356 on 43rd Street it will be on the left!

-good! Nigel, you heard Ms.Helena said my Uncle while rolling down the window in the middle of the car

-Yes Mr. Smith respond Nigel ..our driver!

-Give me Ace and take Nigel with you he will help you with your luggage!

-Ok here she said while handing me over to my Uncle who has way smoother hands than this doctor how can this be possible Uncle Anthony must really take care of himself "I wonder if he got a wife or maybe he fell in love with Helena and that's why he didn't hesitate to hire her ('o') hehehe"

10 minutes later when Helena and Nigel put everything into the trunk and got into the car we continued our journey through the heavily crowded road of New York City it took us 45 minutes just to get to the villa was 2 and a half kilometers away from Helena's apartment and my oh my it is a beauty at first I thought it would be like a big house but no this is a big skyscraper with at least 15 to 20 floors and at the very top there a villa that looks to take up at least 3 floors alone the whole building belongs to the Smith family well to me now by what I heard from Uncle Anthony we got villas, mansions, and estates a little bit all over the world since we got ties with multiple countries as the aftermath of being a tourism focus country(the Maldives)

But still, I am in awe I can't wait to be older to visit all of those places! While I was lost in my thought my Uncle, Helena with me in her arms and Nigel with all the luggage started walking into the building entering the lobby toward the golden door elevator with a big S painted in bright silver Uncle took a silver card from his pocket point it on the screen on the right of the elevator door and it opened we all got through the door before in close on us and start ascending the number show that we will stop at the 18 floors so I guessed it means there must have been 20 or 21 floors before they build this villa, the rent of the others floors must rake in a million per year alone damn my father must have good business skills or maybe Anthony well I would guess that both of them did

-Nigel take Ms.Helena to her room and show her around while ill go freshen up a bit before we go and you Helena make yourself at home and take care of little Ace while I'm gone I don't know if I will be back tonight but you got my number so if anything happens just call ill be here in a jiffy!

-Yes Anthony don't worry you can go with peace of mind and little Ace won't budge from here "Of course we won't budge I can't walk" I thought

With all of this said my uncle took his leave while Nigel began to show us around the more I saw the more excited I became there was a pool not that I can use it for now but well it is there, a gym, a bar, a cinema "hahaha this is awesome " more bedrooms than I can count 26 I did count them xD 8 bathrooms,5 living rooms, 3 kitchens who needs 3 kitchens seriously I can see myself doing some work here building a studio, a library, a gaming room men this will be so much fun but that's for later when I'm old enough!

After the little tour, Helena took me with her to one of the many rooms and laid down with me since there was no crib yet she stayed with me making sure I didn't fall off the bed, and in no time I was sleeping "damn it I hate this but ill endure "

I woke up 2 or 3 hours later feeling really hungry Helena was still sleeping beside me I tried to wriggle to wake her up but it didn't work so given no choice I started crying "Men in a moment like this I wish I wasn't aware of what I'm doing this is humiliating at least nobody knows "

"I do(giggles)

"Oh shit I forgot ... Alexa"

Well at least Helena woke up and took me to the kitchen where she began making me a bottle of milk seems like Nigel did some groceries before leaving with Uncle, days like this and without knowing a week had gone by when my Uncle finally came back looking tired but happy to see me with a big smile on his face he took me in his arms

-Did you miss me Ace I am back we can leave now are you ready to see your home?

-ah (baby sounds)

-hehehe looks like you are happy to see uncle did everything go well Helena said to my uncle looking at Helena who looked way more tired than a week ago well it must be said that she probably didn't sleep well because apart from my very first night in this world I wasn't able to sleep more than 3 hours without waking up feeling hungry "poor Helena ill make it up to you when I grow up"

-Yes everything went well but I must say it is way harder than I thought it would be do we leave soon or can I go to sleep before we leave Anthony?

-humm you better prepare your things we will depart when you are ready but fret not you will be able to sleep on the jet also I forgot to ask but do you have a passport, Helena?

-I do and I have it with me and all my important papers too i knew it would be needed also I called my ex-landlord and sold everything I didn't take with me so I got everything covered i am good to go

-Great that makes it way easier alright go prepare we leave in 30 minutes

She left looking tired but excited, probably as much as I am too I can't wait to see the Maldives in this world since there's bound to be some change because, in my last life, there was no Smith family in charge of the country I can't wait.

After 30 minutes we were all in the car direction of Teterboro private airport where our jet was parked I knew it because I heard Uncle Anthony talk to Nigel before we departed Helena was dozing on and of for the entire ride while Uncle Anthony was making funny faces trying to make me laugh which he did on two occasions his face was beaming with joy when he got a laugh out of my mouth maybe I should laugh more it seems to make him happy 2 hours later we finally where able to see the airport after another 30 minutes and some customs check we all board the jet and damn I knew it would be like this but I still got shocked 3 bedrooms 1 livingroom or whatever is it called when its in a plane 1 mini bar and plenty of comfy looking sofas and chairs (images in the comment section)

20 minutes later the plane got on the take-off runaway ready to fly i knew it would be a long flight 21 hours being a pilot in my last life I knew this kind of thing like the back of my hand and knowing that flight his not comfortable for babies I was ready to sleep as much as I can i was already drowsy because Helena just fed me 5 minutes ago so while the plane took off i was already asleep I woke up 7 times in between New-York to the Maldives and thank god I was able to go back to sleep pretty fast because of my strengthen mind because yes it was uncomfortable!

I yawned as I woke up for the last time before landing because I could see through the plane window the Maldives down below "Yes finally we are home"
