Supernatural High (Lesbian Romance)

Fenris Tal is a badass, but she never wanted to be. However people seem to expect her to be heartless and power hungry, when deep inside she's just a big softy. All this might have to do with the fact that she's half-demon and half-alpha werewolf. Also because she has access to all abilities from both species, which is unheard of with half-bloods. This makes her the strongest living supernatural creature around. But she can't hide what she is. Fenris hates the persona pushed on her, all she wants is her mate, her one true love. But with her good looks and bad-girl persona, also the fact that many girls try to throw themselves at her, Fenris is called the player of the town. Annabelle Rhyder is an omega werewolf. She is a small shy girl and gets picked on by the more popular kids. She's easily one of the prettiest girls in her school, but doesn't seem to realize it. In her pack being an omega is like a curse, you are constantly put down, forced to work for the alpha, and even physically bullied. If it wasn't for Annabelle's older sister Mary she would have more bruises and scars like the omegas in other packs. That's the other thing, she's the only omega in her pack. Annabelle can't wait to find her mate but she's scared, she wants a loving relationship, not a controlling one. She has also been told her mate will reject her. Her heart can't take that kind of pain. Annabelle and her family change packs because her sister meets her mate and will be the new luna of his pack. Annabelle catches a glimpse of Fenris with girls all around her and immediately doesn't want anything to do with her. After a encounter with Fenris, Fenris tells Annabelle they are mates, but Annabelle doesn't believe her. Will Fenris convince Annabelle and how far will she go to do so? Or will something happen and Fenris never gets the chance.

Chapter 17: Fenris

*Special thanks to Sloth_Pride for the idea behind this chapter*

Broken.

Fenris felt broken. Broken hearted, broken in spirit, and it was only Tuesday.

Since Annabelle had told Fenris they weren't mates, and then had run away, Fenris had been crying. When she had finally gotten off the ground yesterday Fenris went straight home and had practically cocooned herself in her wings on her bed.

Fenris had also been awake since the event, so she's been awake for about 25 hours. Every time she had been on the verge of falling asleep she would remember what happened and could feel her heart break again. She didn't want to go to school today, but even though Annabelle broke her, she still wanted to see her.

So Fenris had dragged herself out of bed, taken a shower, and then wore her favorite black hoodie with the back cut out for her wings and some dark black jeans and converse.

Here she is now, torturing herself by looking for Annabelle on her way to her first class of the day. By the time she got to the door she had not seen Annabelle or even caught a whiff of her sweet scent.

So Fenris hung her head, walked in and sat down. On the whiteboard in red, was written 'Basics of supernatural creatures'. This was more commonly known as 'supernatural 101'.

Typically this class was an extracurricular taken by freshman or sophomores. So Fenris, being a senior, stood out a bit. The only reason she was in this class is because she had taken all the extracurricular classes she had wanted the last three years. Now seniors at Clearwater had the privilege to be able to leave early or arrive late, Fenris had taken the option of leaving early, but she was still missing a time slot. Which led her to picking a class she thought would be easy but interesting, 'supernatural 101' gives the basics of all the creatures as well as showing the similarities and differences between each species. So she had thought why not.

The bell started ringing, indicating that the class was about to start, and there was no teacher in sight. By this point all the students are in their seats waiting for the teacher. After a minute one of the dragon guys decides, for some reason, he's going to spit fire at one of the minotaurs. This quickly led to a fight with the typical puffing chests and the boys being idiots.

Thud. Thud.

Fenris could make out a brief thudding noise coming from the hallway. [I see Mr. Gabbro is finally coming.] The door flew open, and there stood Mr. Gabbro.

He was a giant of a man, that could just be genetics, or it could be the fact that he was a rock troll. Rock trolls are living magical creatures that are entirely made out of rock, they have no tongue or eyes, not even stones that would replicate the looks of one. Nobody knows how they first came to be, or even how they talk and see, but it's magic so it's best not to think too hard about it. They are often confused with golems. Golems are tools made of clay by witches, they have no self-control and can only do simple tasks. So call a rock troll a golem and see how mad they get.

"What is going on?" Mr. Gabbro asked, in his low and slow gravelly voice.

"N-nothing Mr. Gabbro." Both freshmen said at the same time as they sat down.

"Hmm." Mr. Gabbro walked to his desk and sat down in his chair, which was sort of a tree stump because he would break a regular chair. "Today we will be learning about the Goddess and the mate bond."

Half the class groaned at this. All supernatural kids are taught at an early age about the mate bond and Goddess, so Fenris felt annoyed with the lesson too, she just wasn't verbal about it.

"I know everyone knows about the Goddess, but there are different views and perspectives of her. And if we talk about the Goddess we need to touch on the mate bound since no matter how you see her, the Goddess gave every supernatural their other half."

"Since this is a rather large subject, because of all the different supernaturals, we'll touch on the main opposing views. This will include the vampires, werewolves, elementals, faeries, and demons views. Today we will go over the vampires, demons, and werewolves since those three groups have a slightly similar view and their histories overlap."

"Now, vampires have a rather touchy relationship with the Goddess. Thousands of years ago the Goddess made vampires because her first creation, humanity, was destroying the Earth. Mankind was chopping down all the trees and creating wars for nothing, so the Goddess had to come up with a solution. Her solution was the vampire, every species needs a predator and so she gave humanity the most effective predator she could think of, and vampires were effective, too effective. Vampires had gone against the will of the Goddess and started hunting humans for sport due to their bloodlust, so the Goddess had to think and give them a predator. The vampire culture saw this as the Goddess turning her back on them, that she no longer favored them, and to this day many vampires will only thank the Goddess when they find their mate and never again."

"Now demons also came to be around the time of the vampires, but they weren't created by the Goddess. In fact demons were created by the Goddess's twin brother Zarav, who hates his sister and wants to destroy everything she created. Zarav made demons to feed on the mind of humans and to drive them insane or to commit terrible acts. He made his demons powerful and with large wings, this made demons one of the best killing supernaturals to date. With the demons' use of their fangs, claws and fire they were extremely skilled at killing, and their giant wings made it easy for them to escape when they felt it was necessary. Funny thing is both twins made a creature to diminish humans and neither knew of the others creature till later. Now, when the Goddess did find out about demons she had originally sought to annihilate them. This obviously didn't happen and that's because the Goddess saw something in the demons. She saw that although almost all demons were prone towards violence, because that's the way they were created, demons had love in their heart and because Zarav saw love as a weakness he refused for any of them to fall in love."

"This is where all three of these supernatural stories come together. Now the Goddess decided to help the demons and free them from her brothers grasp and gave them the thing they craved most, love. To show her goodwill the Goddess looked into the hearts of all the demons and found one, that although the man had done many evil deeds, his heart was full of love and kindness. So the Goddess mated her youngest daughter to this man in the eternal bond. "

"The daughter's name was Celeste and her mate's name was Isaiah. Celeste was the first werewolf, and her and her mate went back to earth in order to keep the vampire population at bay and stop the complete eradication of mankind. After that all of the children born to both Celeste and Isaiah were werewolves. When their children became older Isaiah and Celeste sent their children out to different parts of the world to protect the humans in that area. This was the creation of the first packs."

"Most demons see the Goddess as their savior and protector while the werewolves see her as a parental figure in a way. So when demons pray to the Goddess it often times is when they are in need of help or feel they are dying. While werewolves often pray for guidance or advice, much like how many would ask a parental figure."

One of the small faerie girls with bright purple butterfly wings and wearing a short skirt and crop top raised her hand. "Mr. Gabbro." Mr. Gabbro stopped talking and looked over at her. "You've mentioned that these supernaturals have mates, but you haven't mentioned how they get their mate."

Mr. Gabbro stared at the girl for a second, the hollow places where his eyes would be eerily looking at her, before he turned back to the whole class. Fenris could see the girl let out a visible sigh of relief, now that his gaze was off her.

"Vampires are able to identify their mate through scent. Many think it's the taste of their mates blood, and although their mates blood can be like an aphrodisiac to them, this is not true. People think that the Goddess did it this way so that the vampires would try to dissociate themselves from their blood drinking ways."

"Demons identify their mate through a kiss. Legend has it that when Isaiah first met Celeste he was so captivated by her beauty that he kissed her without a second thought. There is a journal with his writing in it that says 'The second my lips touched this heavenly woman's I knew that I would forever love her and her alone. She is my moon, my morning sun and I will be forever hers.'. Many of our philosophers think this is why demons have to kiss in order to know their mate."

This caught Fenris' attention, she had known that a kiss is how demons identify their mate but she had never heard the story like that. The thing is, Fenris knew Annabelle was her mate, and although she had kissed her on the head, Fenris hadn't kissed Annabelle on the lips. [EERRR. This doesn't make any sense. I understand why I don't have my mark but why doesn't Annabelle have hers. If she did she would know we are mates and come back to me.]

"Werewolves are able to find their mate by touch. Everytime a werewolf touches their mates it is said that they feel sparks of pleasure. This is probably why werewolves are more touchy than other supernatural creatures. Although werewolves are direct descendants of the Goddess they are still wolves, and wolves find comfort in touch so the best way for them to acknowledge their

mate is through touch."

Fenris perked up at that. [That's it! Although Annabelle can feel the mate bond her wolf hasn't yet acknowledged we're mates, but why? Is it because of my demon? I can't just kiss her, although she's my mate I don't think she would want that right now so it's wrong. I could ask to kiss her, but I think she'll say no.]

Fenris grabbed her stuff and stood up, "Thanks for the idea Mr. Gabbro." she said as she left the room, headed off to talk to some people she hoped could give her ideas.

She put her books in her locker and headed outside. Stretching her wings she jumped into the sky and quickly beat down with her powerful wings shooting high into the sky and towards her destination.

[Mom, dad, here I come.]
