Getting ready for the first year

It took a few days to finish reading the first-year curriculum as I familiarised myself with my Super Speed. I guess converting gold permanently with transfiguration magic is not possible with Gamp's Law of Elemental Transfiguration in play, but, what about Alchemy? I should probably explore this subject further. If I am able to learn how to change one element to another, that would be a game changer.

Travelling to Diagon Alley again, I bought a bag with an extension charm in place. This sophisticated charm was used to expand an object's internal dimensions while retaining its external appearance. The charm also rendered the contents lighter. At the same time, I was able to learn how to use the Doubling Charm from a wizard I met at Diagon Alley. As a fan of Harry Potter, he was quick to teach me how to use this charm when I asked him about it, after promising to give him an autograph.

It took a few tries to learn and replicate the spell. However, over time, the copies tended to rot or tarnish more quickly than the original, making it possible to identify eventually. Because of this, the replicas created through this charm are considered to have no value or worth. However, this was not an issue for me. I travelled to the local muggle library and copied the entire library over, placing them into my extended bag. One question that I had throughout the process was how the Doubling Charm worked. Did the oxygen, nitrogen etc in the air convert into paper and thus, creating another copy? This requires further exploration.

There are still a few more weeks left before I have to head to school. In that time, I should be able to familiarise myself with the sciences using my Super Speed and Super Brain. During this period, I could also train myself in martial arts and self-defence. I could probably create a well-balanced workout regime from these books on Sports Science, increasing the speed at which my body grows.

I also had to plan for the year ahead. One area that I was looking forward to do was to learn how to make Felix Felicis. Also called "Liquid Luck", this was a potion that made the drinker lucky for a period of time, during which everything they attempt would be successful. It turned an ordinary day into an extraordinary one. But it was meant to be used sparingly, as it caused drinker to succumb to giddiness, recklessness, and dangerous overconfidence if taken in excess. It was also highly toxic in large quantities.

However, given my increasing Invulnerability, this shouldn't be a problem, right? I have to conduct further testing. One of Superman's most well-known weakness was magic. But this weakness is the same level that regular people are weak against magic. The man of steel has no special invulnerability in this sense as his incredible abilities are a result of Earth's yellow sun. Hence, his cells do not have protection against magic.

The thing is, I'm not just Superman. "Yer a wizard, Harry". Indeed, I have magic pulsing through my body, saturating my cells. Perhaps, given my biology, I could adapt and have Magic Resistance to that of a dragon. I need to conduct further testing on this idea. Plus, I'm still in my growing stage, I'm hopeful of the possibilities.

Another area of interest would be the soul. After all, the deadly Killing Curse when cast successfully on a living person or creature, caused instantaneous and painless death, without causing any injury to the body, and without any trace of violence. This would mean it cut off the connection between the soul and the body. But, the only known counter-spell to this curse was sacrificial protection, which used the power of love. This would an area that is hard to study. However, one could dodge the green bolt or block it with a physical barrier. Adding another reason to why Magical Resistance is an important area of consideration.

It is most likely that the moment I stepped into Hogwarts I would be watched closely by Dumbledore. How should I proceed? Voldermort seems to be half alive and stuck to Quirrell. Killing Quirrell would be easy enough, but that wouldn't stop Voldermort would it? The main point is the Philosopher's Stone, hidden in the castle. Hence, the year ahead is just for Dumbledore to ascertain if Voldermort is still alive, with me and the stone as bait.

Ultimately, there are only a few goals. Firstly, learn more about magic. There is so much to explore and it really is interesting for me as a transmigrator. Secondly, defeat Voldermort because he keeps coming back, not that I hate him, you know. I do know about the Horcruxes, this would be a pain to deal with, but it is possible given that I do have a rough idea on how events would play out. I wonder how I should reveal this to Dumbledore. Third, find out how and why I came to this world. I should probably find magic that is able to look into the past to see if there are any deviations from the movies. I suspect things are not as simple as they seem to be. After all, I do have Superman's powers too. Without kryptonite, what is there to stop me in this world? But, am I even vulnerable to kryptonite in the first place? Is my DNA kryptonian?
