Chapter 13: Start moving home

Luke drove his luxurious Maybach SUV back to the small detached house he had lived in for several years. He thought to himself, "Now that I have a posh car and have purchased my splendid Sandalwood No. 1 Villa, it's time to pack up and prepare to move into my new home."

Luke opened his wardrobe and began sorting through his clothes. He carefully took out each neatly folded shirt, t-shirt, jumper, and trousers, inspecting each item for damage or stains. He then placed them into boxes, organising them meticulously.

Next, he turned to his bookcase. Each book was carefully chosen, and all of them were his favourites, especially "Twenty Thousand Leagues Under the Sea," which he had loved since childhood. He placed the books into a box, carefully smoothing each page before gently placing them inside. While organising his books, he discovered one he had been searching for and excitedly leafed through every page.

Afterwards, he moved to the kitchen. His kitchen was filled with a variety of pots, bowls, ladles, and basins. He took them out one by one, checking for cracks or damage. He placed them into boxes, wrapping them in soft cloth to prevent damage during the move.

Luke started his luxurious GLS600 SUV, its engine emitting a deep and powerful hum. The interior was set to the perfect temperature, sunlight streaming through the windows, casting a serene light upon Luke's determined face.

Expertly, he reversed the car out of the garage, the tyres hissing on the concrete floor. He drove along the winding mountain road, the forests on either side receding rapidly, as if making way for Luke's journey to his new home.

In time, he arrived at the Sandalwood estate. He parked the car in front of Villa No. 1, the door opening to reveal a gust of wind. Approaching the boot, he began to unload his luggage. His rough fingers traced the hard surface of the suitcases, feeling the weight and significance of each parcel.

Luke carried the luggage, sometimes using his knees to ensure a secure hold. His muscles tensed, displaying his strength and determination, without a hint of fatigue.

With all the luggage loaded, he returned to the car. His hands gripped the steering wheel as he adjusted the seat and rear-view mirror before fastening his seatbelt. The car slowly accelerated, and with a confident smile, Luke drove his GLS600 SUV towards his new home.

Wind blew through the open window, scattering clouds in front of him and revealing the road ahead more clearly. The tyres rolled smoothly on the road, the friction between rubber and asphalt becoming more pronounced, signalling to Luke that he had left the shadows of the past behind.

Luke did not hurry, driving at a leisurely pace. The car's speed increased gradually, and Luke gracefully manoeuvred the vehicle along the winding road like a skilled dancer.

Luke switched off the engine and applied the brakes, taking a moment to admire the magnificent villa before him, as if transported to a world of luxury. His opulent SUV was parked at the entrance, appearing like an eager aristocrat, showcasing its resplendent exterior. He strode to the boot, gently lifting the heavy suitcase as if cradling a precious treasure, the luggage conspicuously eye-catching. Inhaling deeply, he lowered the suitcase, surveying his surroundings in search of an entrance, the vastness of the villa momentarily disorienting him.

As he followed the path, the sound of his expensive shoes against the ground was strikingly clear in the tranquil environment. Picking up his pace, he finally reached the grand iron gates adorned with lavish handles, capturing Luke's heart.

He gently opened the gate, respectfully and cautiously stepping into the opulent mansion. A warm and comfortable atmosphere enveloped him, making him feel instantly rejuvenated and at peace. He gazed up at the high ceiling, as if attempting to decipher its hidden secrets. A gentle breeze brushed through his hair, and the view from the floor-to-ceiling windows seemed to join him in admiring the grandeur of the mansion.

Luke lingered in the entrance hall for a moment, then turned and carefully picked up his suitcase. He slowly ascended the staircase towards his bedroom, each step a challenge to his physical limits. Upon reaching his room, it felt as though the suitcase had found its home. He gently placed it down and stood by the window, the enchanting view erasing any remnants of fatigue.

Luke paused by the window for a while, his heart filled with joy and appreciation. He gazed upon the lush green leaves of the trees and the crystal-clear waters of the lake, as well as the vast meadows carpeted with blooming flowers.

The beauty outside the window filled Luke with a deep sense of contentment. He took a deep breath, embracing the atmosphere of his new home. This new environment radiated vitality and energy, unlike any place he had known before. He felt as if he had entered a paradise, a haven of happiness.

Luke turned and approached his suitcase. He carefully unpacked the clothes, ensuring they were neatly arranged and wrinkle-free. Under his meticulous care, the contents of the suitcase were soon orderly and organised. He swiftly put everything in its place and gently closed the suitcase.

Luke carried the suitcase to the doorway, placing it on the floor. He looked around, savouring the ambiance of his new home. The tranquillity was refreshing, a balm to his soul. He stood silently in the doorway, relishing this newfound serenity and freedom.

Luke inhaled deeply, stretching leisurely, ready to embrace the delightful life his new home promised.

After a while, Luke decided to venture outside. Just as he was about to leave, he suddenly heard a voice say, "Hello there, Luke."
