Infestation

"Arthas is a special individual that needs to be monitored, I think I would be fine with taking care of him, it takes one to know one" Hayem declared, "He is at that stage for improvement and learning, so I would be the best to train him don't you think?"

"Hold on a minute punching bag, who said that you could take him, just because he is at that stage of improvement doesn't mean your physical education for idiots." Hiro raised his concern.

He then adjusted his sitting position while his face showed full disagreement while talking, "His battle tactics interest me, he will become a dominating tactician in the future. The Tacticians Crown would like to take him"

Hiro's declaration shocked them, it wasn't every day that someone like him would be interested in a person.

The faces of everyone inside turned serious, indicating that this could escalate into something interesting.

Ralia's face gloomed, her eyes shaken by the sudden competition although Arthas was a special case she expected there wouldn't be a fierce takeover of responsibility.

"The mage department would like to volunteer for Arthas," They all looked at the girl who raised her hand, "My failure made this mess, I'll take responsibility and guide him personally." Amelia raised her hand with a serious expression.

The others looked surprised about her answer, all of them had jobs they needed to accomplish by the end of today such that adding more would be a burden.

The meeting was about to end with Ralia anxious about who would be picked to replace her role.

Ralia didn't have the slightest of problems with Arthas going to another department, but for her curiosity to be achieved she hoped that it would stay unchanged.

"It seems that everyone is competitive, I would have liked to take him to the High Order but oh well," Aislan said with a smile, "We can't decide who would take Arthas so I suggest we keep the status quo as is, Is that fine Ralia?"

"Huh? Oh yeah, yes no problem he is problematic but no worries" Ralia got caught off guard.

"Merlin isn't here, she probably won't be here for a while. I ask that we decide once all ten members are present" Mythos opened a suggestion.

The ticking clock resonated across the room. Its rustic sound echoed through the depths of the emptiness that shattered all sound.

The silence was strengthened by the absence of replies from the other members, their stares and facial expressions remained stern and firm.

Ralia was wondering what would happen now, if she was replaced then she wouldn't be able to see the little creatures that cared about her.

She was spacing out of the conversation thinking about other things, her beautiful green eyes reflected her innocence as she looked up from the person calling her name.

It wasn't until Aislan shattered the voiceless atmosphere with his strong voice, that he rose from his seat and prepared to leave, cleaning his clothes and fixing the crimson cape he wore.

"Dismissed, issues are rising I won't hold you any longer. If you don't mind I'll leave first." Aislan declared.

Turning around he made a step which instantly made him appear in front of the door and close it as he exited. His skill still baffles Ralia to this day.

The first time she saw that was when they met on the battlefield. It mesmerized Ralia who was curious about the arcane. Until now she wasn't able to figure out what exactly it was.

"He is always the first to leave, I will leave as well," Mythos said

Mythos was encroached by black miasma as the darkness swallowed him whole in a quick process leaving no trace of him after it dissipated from the air.

One by one, the members disappeared in their unique way as fast as they could, as quickly as they could.

The roundtable that was shining in its glorious state was now empty, the intricate and constructive symbols on the surface of the roundtable were smooth.

The table was left empty by the people who were just here a few seconds ago, except for two who chose to stay.

Amelia and Ralia, both stared at each other with a calm, unfazed expression. Ralia didn't budge from the hard stone gaze she received.

Amelia with her beautiful face that was lustrous and porcelain-like skin that showed no pores, clear perfection of a degree of meticulous care and tenderness.

Her eyes were fierce and strong which would intimidate those who went against her. The glossy rose lips on her face complimented her beauty all of this was staring at Ralia.

"What do you need Amelia" Ralia made the first move.

"That umbrella where did you get that?" Amelia asked while being emotionless.

"A gift from a friend, he gave it to me"

"I see," Amelia stood in a clean elegant way, "Just for you to know, that's awfully a familiar object"

She snapped her fingers with ferocity and strength. Amelia was engulfed in flames the pillar of light descended as the bright fire lasted for a while before it disappeared.

Ralia was now left alone in the enormous room, the ticking clock as her vision faded into black.

'Familiar huh?'

Meanwhile, while they were having their meeting Arthas was playing around with the baby dinos.

He was teaching them manners, talking as if they fully understood what he was saying.

"Stand straight look forward and walk with glory." Arthas shouted, "Ready…1…2…3…Go!"

The baby rexes were walking with uncoordinated movements Castor would stomp left first and Pollux would stomp on his right.

They were confused but they got the spirit.

Arthas didn't expect them to learn it so easily, especially since they just hatched. After a few hours, they took a break.

They were a bit refined now able to walk together in a synchronised movement but a couple of steps later they still faltered but it was progress.

'The dino army would soon terrorize the world, hehe'

Arthas envisioned a scene of marching dinosaurs that brings fear and terror as the boisterous boom strikes fear through the masses.

He fed them some food after they were done, and he checked his pocket for all the most significant matters such as money, and documents that he decided to carry with him.

Time passed quickly John was still exhausted and sleeping, the same with Morpheus and Nemesis who rested just beside Arthas and the babies.

It wasn't until Ralia appeared from the forest, her endearing beauty still captivated Arthas with her delicate and shining white hair and small face that made her pretty smile attractive, though Arthas still didn't care about her.

"That took long enough, tell me about the meeting?" Arthas asked.

"No welcome back or something? You think we were talking about you?"

"With recent events, yes, so spill it."

"Idiot," Ralia went closer to Castor and Pollux playing with them before he asked Arthas someplace private.

"The continent is infested with loose insects all around, though a department head is on the move it will still take time"

She waved her hands palm facing the ground in a small motion. The ground then turned into a map, Arthas guessed that it was this world's map.

"Because of your recklessness, they are staying deep on the ground. One of the department heads is now on their way to resolve this problem."

Multiple spikes then emerged penetrating the map, there were hundreds of them and they almost filled the map. Multiple houses then emerged from the map some were bigger than the others.

'Rather than houses, there are some that look like castles'

"Listen Arthas, this is the continent and the castles represent capitals and the houses a city, the infestation has reached all parts of the continent except to the east."

"What's to the east?"

"The map is separated by the East and West with the beastmen in between. On the west side are two human kingdoms, Lunaria and Solaria. To the east are Dwarves and Elves. In the middle of all of this are Beastmen who have the most fighting power."

"The two human kingdoms are at war why?"

"It is about politics and religion The Lunaria workshops the Moon while Solaria worships the Sun, the two despise the other and claim to be superior. The beastman are the centerline and keeping them from the east, let's rush to the academy it's safer that way"

"No"

With a brief response, Ralia's eyes were furious and she looked at Arthas's face which was full of determination and strength.

"What why?"

"This mess is mine, tell me Ralia those monsters we fought. They're part of the infested area aren't they?"

'Should've known he would find out damn, now what do I do'

A battle underground and flames of chaos will soon burn.
