Capital Academy

I woke up like usual by the sound of a chirping bird. Then I notice how heavy my body is. When I realize Arlette and Elise sleep soundlessly on my body.

Sometimes I feel like everything is only a dream, I even forget when did I turn into such a romance guy. I won't say that I'm a romantic person but I knew that I love them.

Feeling something move, Arlette's eyes begin to tremble a little. She rubs her beautiful eyes for a while before looking at me "Good morning, dear." She said with half-opened eyes.

"Good morning, beauty." I said replying to her. "Elise wakes up, it's morning already." I said while shaking my shoulder for her to wake up.

She groans a little "Uummm... It's morning already?" She said and start to stretch her body. "Yes, sleepyhead. Now let's take a breakfast. Do the two of you had any plan for today?". I ask them.

"No, how about you, dear?" Arlette said after shaking her head. "I think of visiting Yatanagi and the other heroes, they should live close to the academy." I said.

"Hmmm... Maybe we should visit them. I want to invite Rime and Iseri here." Arlette said. Apparently, Both Arlette and Elise become friends with Rime and Iseri after I tell them the story about when Iseri confronts me at the banquet hall. Arlette becomes intrigued by her and start asking about my old life.

Can't be helped I guess. As long as my Identity didn't reach both of them, they could only suspect, but now I had a different face and my old self is dead.

The three of us get out of the room and heading toward the dining room. When we arrive the food is already done for us.

After breakfast, I leave Arlette and Elise to take a shower first when I go outside. Not forget to water the plant using water magic to make it fast. I leave the cattle to the maids to take care of.

Arlette and Elise went out of the house and looking for me. When they got the report from the maids that I'm at the greenhouse, they already walk toward me.

"Arthur, dear. We already finish. You should hurry." Arlette said to me. I walk back to my room to get a shower then dressing up. I wear my magic armor which looked like normal noble clothes.

Since I didn't take that much time. Arlette and Elise didn't wait too long inside the carriage. I get inside and Como takes us with the carriage to the Academy since Yatanagi and the other are there.

Going there only took us for about 10 minutes. We stop at the front of the gate. Not only us, but there's also all kind of people went inside. While I could tell from the clothes they're wearing. Some are noble and some are commoners. There's also an experienced commoner which I guess their parents are ex-adventurer.

We went inside about to ask the principal where the hero is studying but I could feel all gaze are on us. I could even hear some whisper "Is that the Ice Princess?" "Hey, aren't that the Bow Princess?" and all other kinds.

Then I speak in a low voice only for Arlette and Elise to hear "Oi, aren't both of you famous?". I said while keep walking. "Ara~, Elise. It looks like our fiancé here is jealous." Arlette said while they keep their smile.

"Hee... So, the reason both of my fiancés want to attend the Academy is to flex to me?" I said tease them. Then I notice Elise keep quite "Elise, are you okay?".

Arlette glare at me "Can't you see, Elise had a bad experience here. She tries to look strong. Don't ask unnecessary things.". I look at Arlette with a troubled face "How should I know? Both of you never talk to me about it.".

She keeps glaring and me before someone from the crowd starts to confront us "Heh! Bow Princess, the hero of the commoner. Looks like you got the Ice Princess' backing."

"Oi, Arlette. Mind explaining?" I whisper in a low voice. "He's the son of Marquis Sarzyin. When Elise gets inside the Academy, she enters into a noble section since her father holds big power in the kingdom. While noble still think she should be in the commoner section." Arlette explains the situation.

Elise lowered her head, it seems like she got bullied a lot. "Hey, you! What are you to them? You walking together with Ice Princess and Bow Princess. If you have no business with them, walk away.".

"Is his head okay, Arlette?" I ask Arlette in a whisper again. "Not all noble had an interest in politics. Most of them need to be ordered by their parents to know their target. You will see it soon." Arlette explain.

"You! How dare you speak to Ice Princess. She's my boss fiancé, Duke Vassegas." He declares in loud voice. "See, I told you. Even Duke Vassegas already send his congratulation. He should already send a mail to his son." Arlette said proving her point.

"Then, The thing about you being Ice Princess is because you reject all of the noble confession? Is Duke Vassegas one of them? Not so Icy for me. You even cry for me." I said while smirking silly. Before I could see her expression, My shoulder already being grabbed by the Marquis. "Hey! I'm talking to you.".

Then Elise lashed out "Stop touching him! I don't care if you want to bully me but don't drag him in.". Then I looked at Elise, I surprised she said that. "Heh! Just shut your mouth and don't talk!" He about to hit Elise, Elise already closes her eyes. But I grab his hand "Oi, try land your hand on her. Not even your father can save your hand." I said coldly while releasing my mana.

"Now, tell me. What's your name again?" I ask him while throwing him away. "Hmph, Why do you need to know my name?" He said while holding his wrist that I grab.

I went to Elise and pat her head. "You did great! Don't worry. Your problem is my problem.". She surprised and look at my eyes. "Is it really ok?" She said slowly.

"Of course, I will even fight the whole kingdom for you." I smile at her. "Hey, you!" I call someone behind Elise. He looked shocked and scared "Ye... Yes? Me?".

"Yes, you. Let me borrow your gloves." I said to him. He quickly removes his gloves and gives it to me "Just take it but don't drag me into it." He said while giving me the gloves.

I hold the gloves and take one then throw it to the Marquis' son. "Take it." I said coldly to him. "What? Why should I take it?" He said stuttering his words.

"Oh, are you scared to duel me?" I said while looking down on him. "Shut up! You just don't have the qualification to duel me." He said finding his alibi.

"Hee... You ask who am I, right?" I said while walking closer to him. "Hah! You probably only their boy toy." He said trying to regaining his composure.

The student that aware of who I am, giggle. While some who didn't know also listen curiously. "Right, I'm Arthur. Princess Arlette and also Princess Elise's Fiancé. Now, if you don't pick it up. I can demand something from your house, am I right?" I said to him.

He took a step back. His face darkens, he tries to think of something "You... You set me up! What princess, you're no princess." He yells to Elise.

"Hee... Still dare talking. She's always been, my princess. Why don't we ask her?" I said while looking at Elise. Everyone turns their gaze to Elise.

Elise becomes silent for a moment. She lowered her head, then Arlette taps her back and looks at her. "We're here for you.". Elise quickly snaps her gaze to Arlette. After a moment of silence, she found her answer.

Her eyes full of determination, she gains her courage and looks at us in the eyes "I'm his fiancé, I will always be his princess!". I smile, even though the situation happens so spontaneous.

I lead the situation here for her. Then I smile evilly and turn toward him "Now, what's your name again? It doesn't matter. Pick it up, offending someone's fiancé is enough reason for me to challenge you."

Just then someone cut through the crowd "What's happening here?" A student and a teacher came. "Teacher Urnas, and Ederick-san. Help me. They try to bully me." The teacher saw me.

"Mind explaining what happen here? I don't think you're a student here." He said glaring at me. "He insults my fiancé. I'm here to demand justice.".

The teacher then glance at his side "Is it true, Angus?". "No, He's lying. He almost broke my wrist." He said while showing my grab mark on his wrist.

The teacher becomes vigilant a magic circle start to appear above him. "You use violence as an outsider.". "Wait for a second, sensei. He's telling the truth." "Yes, my husband won't tell a lie." Elise and Arlette said.

"Both of you move aside or I will hurt you too." The teacher starts convincing Arlette and Elise. I snap my finger and my magic circle appears above me even bigger, almost covering the hallway. "Oo, I won't do it if I were you. Even if you're the teacher."

Ederick than grab the teacher's shoulder "Sensei, please calm yourself." He said then walk in the middle. "Mind if I ask who you are?" He asks looking toward me.

"Finally, brain guy. I'm Arthur Veltis. You can call me Arthur." I said with a slight bow, introducing myself. He replies by also bowing toward me "Ederick Vassegas, Son of Duke Vassegas. Nice to meet you. So, you're the one that melts the Ice Princess' heart. I congratulate you." He said.

"You're not so bad either." I said to him. The teacher relaxes more after noticing my identity. His magic circle cracks and vanish, so do my magic circle. The teacher than walk to me "Then, what actually happen?"

"I told you already, he mocks my fiancé and I challenge him to duel. If he didn't answer my duel call. His family owes me a favor." I said explaining it again. Ederick just sighs at this "I'm sorry for his behavior, then instead of his family. How about my family owe you.".

Angus then walks to Ederick "You can't do this Ederick-san. It's his fault." He said but getting a deadly glare from Ederick. Angus took a step back.

"Heee... Nice scheme, but I will take it. Your family will be my supporter when I take the throne. Still, if your family did criminal. I will deal with it myself." I said to him. He just nods and I leave him standing there.

The teacher then come to me "Mind if I ask why do you come here?". "I just want to ask where the hero currently study, also access to your library." I ask straight to the point.

"Sorry, but I don't have clearance for it. You might need to meet the principal." He said apologize. "I don't mind. We are on the way to the principal office anyway." I said and turn back to Arlette and Elise.

"Then, mind explaining the husband thing. Arlette?" I said while smiling at her. She just keeps her smile and noble stature "Aren't we going to become couple anyway?".

"So, it's not about you trying to avenge my tease?" I said while looking at her closer. Elise already got her confidence back and her courage, now she positioning herself back and tap my shoulder "Let's go, Arthur. You're bothering sister Arlette.".

I give up trying to crack Arlette and continue walking toward the principal office.
