The black man guided Goofy to the third floor. Upon reaching it, he witnessed Frank, tied to a sturdy wooden chair, bearing the signs of a brutal beating with a bruised nose and face. Frank's drooping eyelids sagged even more.
"Hi, Frank," Goofy greeted his uncle, concerned. "Why so careless? You were kidnapped."
Frank, displaying a gloomy expression, retorted, "Bah! It's not your good deeds. It caused me, a law-abiding citizen, to be implicated. Boy, it looks like we are going to die together tonight."
Goofy shrugged, "Although I prefer to go on the road alone, it's not bad to have you as a company on afterlife Road."
Before the conversation could continue, a gunshot echoed from the corner. A burly, bald black man stood up; Goofy recognized him as the same one who fled to the dock that night.
"Police officer Goofy, we meet again," sneered the bald man named Mike, shaking his loaded gun.
Goofy, with a teasing smile, said, "It wasn't cold when you came home from swimming that night, right? I have to say, the spray was well pressed when you entered the water."
Mike's expression changed as he raised his gun towards Goofy, who remained unafraid and urged him to shoot.
"Mike," an authoritative voice intervened, "don't be so frizzy. Police Officer Goofy finally came here as a guest; let's play with him slowly."
The voice belonged to a middle-aged white man on the sofa, whom Goofy dubbed "Fox" for the time being. Clearly, Fox was the gang's boss, the one calling the shots.
Following Fox's command, Mike reluctantly put down his gun, ceasing to provoke Goofy. Fox then turned to Goofy, acknowledging his courage in facing a gun.
Goofy, with a smile, remarked, "If you don't even have the guts, how can you kill your two teammates?"
Fox's expression changed, and he frowned. He wondered about Goofy's provocative behavior since entering the room.
With a sneer, Fox tapped the coffee table. "It seems that Officer Goofy has a bad temper, and he can't even say a polite word."
Goofy chuckled, "Nonsense, you kidnapped my uncle, who had a dog's head and was tied to the chair. How do you expect me to speak politely? "
Mike, the bald man, stepped forward, threatening, "I can shoot you in the head at any time."
Goofy sneered, looking back at Mike, "Then please do, why are you hesitating? Are you still reluctant to give up these bullets?"
Mike, filled with hatred, was about to pull the trigger when Fox intervened, preventing the situation from escalating.
Fox, maintaining composure, found Goofy's reaction amusing. "Haha. Officer Goofy is really a person with personality. I haven't seen a policeman with such a personality in a long time. But I hope you can talk and laugh like you are now."
Fox, curious about Goofy's dodging skills, proposed a game. He gestured towards a limited space, suggesting Goofy hide while Mike shoots. If Goofy could dodge eight bullets, Fox would consider letting him go.
Goofy, aware of his agility, declined, urging a quicker resolution. As he mentioned potential NYPD support, Fox dismissed the idea, confident in the gang's firepower.
Helpless, Goofy accused them of stalling and playing games. Fox, unapologetic, expressed a desire to make Goofy suffer before his death, signaling Mike to prepare.
As Mike installed a silencer on his pistol, Goofy protested, explaining the potential disadvantages. Despite his objections, the gang prepared for the confrontation, leaving Goofy in a precarious situation with an uncertain outcome.
