Chapter 27: A Promise Fulfilled

After weeks of dedication and sleepless nights, Bloody Commando had completed its theatrical run, wrapping up at a strong 80 crore at the box office. For Suraj, it was more than a number—it was the promise of a brighter future for Mythic Productions and the fulfillment of his own dream. But there was something even more important on his mind now: his promise to Aryan.

"Aryan, today's the day!" Suraj called out with a grin as he walked into their living room. Aryan looked up from his book, his eyes widening in surprise and excitement.

"You mean it?" Aryan asked, his voice brimming with joy. "We're actually going for a picnic?"

Suraj nodded. "Absolutely. And we're going somewhere special. Ready for the Bhagat Singh National Zoo?"

Aryan's face lit up. "I've always wanted to see the animals there! Let's go, bhaiya!"

With their backpacks packed with snacks and a few essentials, the two brothers set off for the outskirts of Mumbai, where the Bhagat Singh National Zoo awaited. The drive was filled with laughter, chatter, and Suraj sharing stories from the old days, each one prompting Aryan to giggle or respond with wide-eyed amazement.

When they arrived, Aryan practically bounced out of the car, and Suraj couldn't help but chuckle at his enthusiasm. As they strolled into the zoo, Suraj felt a rare sense of peace and happiness. It had been a long time since he'd allowed himself to enjoy a day like this, but Aryan's excitement made it all worth it.

The zoo was sprawling, with lush greenery and winding paths leading to various enclosures. Their first stop was the lion enclosure. Aryan pressed his face against the glass, awestruck as a large lion walked by, its mane regal and its gaze intense.

"Bhaiya, look! He's the king of the jungle!" Aryan whispered excitedly, clearly fascinated. "Do you think he's like the characters in Bloody Commando, brave and fearless?"

Suraj laughed. "Maybe! But let's just hope he's a bit friendlier."

They moved on to the monkey enclosure, and Aryan couldn't stop laughing at the antics of a group of monkeys swinging from the branches and playfully shoving each other. One particularly cheeky monkey locked eyes with Aryan, then stuck its tongue out, prompting Aryan to do the same in return.

"Looks like you found a friend," Suraj teased.

Aryan giggled. "I think he's just jealous that I have better manners."

They continued exploring, stopping by the elephant enclosure where Aryan marveled at the sheer size of the gentle giants. One of the elephants lifted its trunk and made a trumpet sound, which made Aryan jump slightly before he burst into laughter. Suraj couldn't help but feel his heart swell, seeing his little brother so happy and carefree.

But it wasn't just the laughter and excitement that touched Suraj. Aryan's maturity shone through as well. At each enclosure, he'd ask questions about the animals' habitats, food, and behavior, showing genuine interest and respect for them. At one point, when they saw a baby deer with its mother, Aryan turned to Suraj, his expression thoughtful.

"Bhaiya, do you think the animals ever miss their families like we miss Mom and Dad?" Aryan asked softly.

Suraj knelt beside him, placing a comforting hand on his shoulder. "I think they do, Aryan. But just like us, they learn to be strong and carry on with their families by their side or in their memories. And remember, you're not alone. I'm here for you, and we'll always be together."

Aryan looked up at him, smiling gently. "I know, bhaiya. And I'm here for you too."

Their day continued with lighthearted fun, snacks, and even a ride on a small zoo tram that gave them a quick tour of the entire area. Aryan insisted on buying a small souvenir—an animal-themed hat that he proudly wore for the rest of the day, even if it was a bit big on him. Suraj couldn't help but smile at how adorable Aryan looked, the hat slightly crooked and his eyes sparkling with joy.

Later in the evening, as they were heading back into town, Suraj surprised Aryan one last time. "How about we go to the theater for one last viewing of Bloody Commando?"

Aryan's face lit up with excitement. "Really? I've been waiting to see it with you!"

Arriving at the theater, they found it filled with an eager crowd for the film's final showing. As the movie started, Suraj sneaked a glance at Aryan, who was completely immersed in the film. Watching his own movie on the big screen with Aryan beside him felt surreal, but also incredibly fulfilling. Every intense moment, every laugh, every cheer from the audience—it was a reminder of how far they had come together.

When the post-credit scene came up and Kamal Singh's chilling laugh echoed through the theater, Aryan looked up at Suraj, eyes wide. "That was awesome, bhaiya! Kamal Singh's laugh is even scarier on the big screen!"

Suraj chuckled. "Yeah, he's definitely something, isn't he?"

As the movie ended and the credits rolled, Suraj felt a surge of gratitude. This journey hadn't been easy, but moments like this made every struggle worth it. They walked out of the theater, Aryan clutching Suraj's hand, his face still glowing with excitement.

"Thank you for today, bhaiya. It was the best day ever," Aryan said, hugging Suraj as they reached the car.

Suraj hugged him back tightly. "Anything for you, little brother. You're my world, you know that?"

With the stars beginning to twinkle above them, they made their way home, filled with a renewed sense of hope and joy. As they drove, Suraj thought about the future, but for now, he was content to bask in the warmth of Aryan's laughter and the quiet satisfaction of a day well spent.

Suraj thought again as today was the last for bloody commondo at theatres...

It ends its theatrical run at 25 th day ..
