Can't a father go out with his family again without something ruining it? I would have been happy if it had been just traffic causing the issue, but no, it had to be something much more outrageous – the apocalypse. Imagine what was supposed to be a family outing turning into a fight for survival against zombies in an instant. It doesn't change much, though. I'm still trying to be the best husband and father I can be, and the apocalypse ain't changing that!
After finishing filling the car's fuel tank and finding enough fuel to also fill the fuel container to half its capacity, Malachi made his way back into the car.
When Malachi got back into the driver's seat, he turned back to look at his wife, just to receive a scare at what his wife and daughter were doing.
At the moment, both held guns in their hands and were observing them with full attention.
Malachi wanted to scream at them and ask what they were doing but managed to stop himself. He took a deep breath and exhaled softly before speaking in the calmest tone he could muster.
"What are both of you doing with that? It's dangerous," Malachi stated.
Anna and Mia turned to look at Malachi before turning to look at each other.
The mother had a determined expression on her face while the daughter had a similar expression, but it seemed to be stronger.
Among the two, it was Anna that spoke to reply to Malachi's words.
