Can't a father go out with his family again without something ruining it? I would have been happy if it had been just traffic causing the issue, but no, it had to be something much more outrageous – the apocalypse. Imagine what was supposed to be a family outing turning into a fight for survival against zombies in an instant. It doesn't change much, though. I'm still trying to be the best husband and father I can be, and the apocalypse ain't changing that!
The first one to break the tense silence wasn't Malachi or any of his companions. Specialist Brian was the first to break the silence by giving a fake cough before talking.
"Ahem." The cough was effective as Specialist Brian was able to capture the attention of everyone around him with it. His men, who had initially been trembling slightly under the 'pressure' emitting from Malachi and his companions, recollected themselves a little.
Their recovery wasn't that significant, though, as the sight of a number of destructive fire spears hovering behind David and Leo's flaming Katana still had a deterrent effect on them. It was the same for Specialist Brian, but he could mask his own better than the others. But by how much? It was at least good enough for his image not to crumble in front of his underlings.
It was only after he successfully captured everyone's attention that Specialist Brian actually spoke.
