A daze. (Mateo’s POV)

I still wasn't there but I was walking to the dorm, just slowly.

As I was walking around campus slowly, I looked back at the school and then just continued to walk.

I realized I had a doctors appointment soon.. even though it was getting late, I didn't want to be late for me, it was a check up.

*everything should be fine and I should be out of there quickly* I think to myself

I quickly got an Uber and went to my doctors appointment.

When I got there, I quickly went inside and signed in to let them know I was ready for my appointment, it wasn't busy at all.. maybe 2 other people there.

After a 10 minute wait, I finally get called back.

I put my phone on silent and put it in my pocket and quickly get up from the seat I was sitting on in the waiting room.

I walk over to the door and the nurse, takes my blood pressure, temperature, weight and height as I also hoped I grew taller even though I was already 5'9.

The last time I was here I took a bunch of tests so I could know what I had and didn't have just so I could be careful and care for myself more.

I was taken to a room and I sat down on the table as I waited for the doctor.

After an hour wait… the doctor finally walked into the room after knocking.

Doctor: "Hello, Mateo" he said as he smiled softly.

"Hello doctor!" I smile softly at him and then say "How are you doing this evening?" I chuckle as I smile brightly.

The doctor sighs softly and says "I'm going alright Mateo, slightly exhausted from work" he chuckles as he pulls his chair on wheels close to the table I was sitting on and said "Hey.. I need to break some news to you about your results, Mateo." He says seriously.

"What is it..? Is it.. something bad?" I say seriously as I slightly started to get concerned for my well being.

"Mateo.. I'm so.. sorry to tell you this but.." He takes a deep breath in and then out and says "697 $/?3 ?/',34…" he says softly.. as he clasped his hands together "I'm so sorry, Mateo.." i says softly as he looks at the ground.

"W…what? I.." I was speechless… I didn't even know what to say… I really had.. 697 $/?3 ?/',34…? Why me… why..

Tears start to roll down my face as I say "I'll… I.. don't know what to say.."
