"Chaos is sure to be found as well, because Order is a derivative of chaos, from chaos came order" Auryn said it with a straight face and a flat tone while the man nodded his head in approval.

"There are many that have witness the destructive power of magic, the terrifying catastrophe it can cause and that is why the crusade to eliminate it"

"It is not as simple as just some low status or commoners rebelling but they were supported by even high ranking nobles and lords! One of the greatest hurdle in all this is a great lord by the name Lord Alistair"

"You absolutely don't want to get on his bad side" The man's face shows his slightly terrified expression.

'Lord Alistair, I should take note then' Auryn made a mental note.

"But the problem is not only the machinery revolution but even the mages... some refuse to take this lying down"

"They refuse to be hunted like rats, they refuse to be imposed on with strict rules on their abilities, they refuse to let go of the olden ways!"

"That's reasonable and unreasonable at the same time" Auryn said his own thoughts about this matter.

"It will have been easier for the government to solve it but as I have said earlier, the mages will not take that sitting idle" The man facepalmed.

"But thankfully the Arcanum Dominion existed, an ancient magi organization, they don't seek to destroy the mechanic neither do they support the mage revolution, they seek to uphold the balance between both the mechanical machineries faction and the mages"

"The great Etheria Imperium, the great empire that rule the lands are trying their best to quench this rising revolution but one great hurdle is the Great Lord, Alistair, he is so strong that it seems impossible to believe, he is strong beyond your imagination"

"He alone stood up against both the Etheria Imperium and the Ancient Arcanum Dominion, I respected his strength but I just don't like his ways"

"Yeah, if he is just to repent and give up on his pursuit of eradicating magic, everything will be okay easy peasy" Jack join the discussion.

"It's not that easy my little friend, I don't know what he saw or discover but he has this mentality that magic must be eradicated! And not only the Arcanum Dominion and Etheria empire are involve there are many organization operating in the shadow"

"Like the Magitech organization that wants both sides to coexist peacefully and their inventions are a merge of magic and mechanical machines"

"I'll leave the rest for you to find out, you young ones are the future, aim for the stability of the world not the destruction of it"

"We will try our best to do that" Auryn said slowly.

"We will save the world!" Jack shouted!

Everyone turn their head to look at which idiot is shouting like that which made Jack embarrassed, he raised his mug close to his face to cover it.

"Idiot..." Auryn mumbled.

"So In all this, where does knights stand?" Auryn asked this question that was on his mind.

"It all depend on your choice, Whether you stay neutral and maintain the balance or join one of the two sides" Lance said as he sigh about the current predicament situation of this world.

"So which one are you?" Auryn asked.

"Why don't you figure it out on your own?" Lance raises an eyebrow and reply with a question of his own.

"I will" Auryn have a short answer and sip his drink once again.

"What will we be our destination after the exam?" Auryn asked.

"I don't know, it's not like I am the examiner or in its organization Hahahah" He burst into laughter and speaks again, "But if I am to guess, i am pretty sure it is the mainland"

"Where all that fighting is going on?" Jack exclaimed.

"Don't worry you will be safe for the time being while you are there, no one will be able to burst through the Etheria Imperium Empire's city, especially where academies are located"

Hearing Lance's explanation, Jack heave a sigh of relieve.

"Just know one thing, your life and destiny will be decided by your choice, choose your path carefully, very carefully"

"And once you have chosen your path, see it to the end, though I doubt you will be able to back out midway, it would be too late to back out then!! Especially when you are involved in power struggles, once you have chosen your path you will be enemies with all the other factions having no room to regret"

"Keep that in mind when making your decisions, I wish you success on your journey and may the Ether Guide you"

'Which ether guide us? Fuck it, I always make my decisions alone and if the path I want does not exist, i will forcefully create it' Auryn thought while he just nodded his head on the outside.

Auryn stood up to leave but suddenly stopped and turned back towards Lance, "What's your purpose coming here?"

"The war separated me from my master, I seek to reunite with him again"

"I hope you meet your master and may the 'Ether' guide you too" Auryn said as he turn around and leave.

"Hey Auryn! Wait for me!" Jack shouted as he quickly leave his seat to run after Auryn not until taking the mug with him.

"Bye, see you tomorrow" Jack waves and smile while he leave the bar too.

"What an interesting bunch..." His carefree expression change for a split second while his Aura became sharp for a while before he conceal it again without anyone noticing.

His existence is nothing simple...

"Auryn thank you, see you tomorrow" Jack waves to Auryn and slowly enter the orphanage.

Auryn just nodded his head and walk towards his home that was a little far from everyone's else, on the dark streets, only Auryn is walking.
