Chapter 1Prologue

We are living in an era of mutation and survival. 300 years ago, a sudden mutation transformed the world and expanded the size of the whole planet. The source remains unknown, puzzling scientists to this day.

As a result of this mutation, Earth underwent rapid evolution. An unknown energy, later coined as natural energy by scientists, changed Earth's climate, geography, and magnetic fields, causing the evolution.

Small animals evolved into colossal beasts, and those that were already big became even more monstrous. The whole ecosystem became a brutal battleground for survival.

The forest has become a place for flesh-eating plants and trees. The whole territory was taken over by them. The various fish species in the oceans and seas have evolved into terrifying sea creatures that can rival colossal beasts on the land.

These sudden changes in the environment brought death and destruction to the Human Civilization. Some scientists and top influential people managed to save themselves.

Yet the masses were affected badly. Over a billion humans died. The Global population plummeted within a few years. Later, the survivors gathered. The top scientists and influential people have built the first safe zone, naming it as a Human Alliance.

The scientists then discovered that not only the whole world has changed. Humanity was affected by the mutation as well.

Humans initially struggled to adapt to the effects of this mutation. After decades of research, scientists discovered that humans could evolve by bonding with beasts.

The mutation has caused several changes among the Beasts. The Regular Beasts, which had no diseases, can bond with the Humans. On the other hand, the Beasts, which had diseases, underwent terrible changes after the mutation.

The diseases carried by these Beasts mutated as well. The infected ones are called Corrupted Beasts. Corrupted Beasts spread the disease to other Beasts, infecting them as well.

Apart from the Regular Beasts with human intellect, Corrupted Beasts pose a serious threat to humanity. These Corrupted Beasts were driven by their instinct to kill.

Not only were they a menace to human society. But they were also targeting the Beasts with human intellect.

So it posed a serious challenge to the scientists. After some thorough research, the scientists able to tell the difference between the Regular Beasts and Corrupted ones.

The mutation altered human physiology, awakening an evolution by bonding through the Lifeline Beast. Mutation awakened a talent in humans.

Awakening of talent represents the opening up of the mental zone, which is the prerequisite of becoming a Beast Tamer.

The mental zone where lifeline and contracted beasts can rest and replenish their energy.

Those who can awaken their talent can bond with their suitable Lifeline Beast. The person's evolution mirrors the Lifeline Beast's evolution. A Beast Tamer can have only one Lifeline Beast for evolution.

The other contracted beasts can assist the Beast Tamer in battles. But they don't help in the evolution of the Beast Tamer.

Beast Tamer can bond with more than one Beast depending upon their mental zone. Normally, a high Bloodline-level Beast uses up most of the mental zone of the Beast Tamer.

However, the mental zone of a Beast Tamer becomes stronger along with each breakthrough. It depends upon the Beast Tamer whether he wants to bond with more than one Beast or not.

Usually, high-level Beast Tamers stick with one or two Beasts apart from their own Lifeline Beast. Otherwise, it can cause pressure on their mental zone.

Yet there are some exceptions to it. Scientists have discovered among the people who awakened their talent. There are individuals with special talents who can have multiple bonded beasts apart from the Lifeline Beast. They are called Special Awakeners.

They don't feel any pressure on their mental zones. Till today, scientists have been researching mental zones. They are researching to see whether other contracted beasts can assist the Beast Tamers in evolution.

Despite achieving technological advancement, humanity did not eliminate Beasts from Earth.

The mutation has caused the Beasts to gain human-like intelligence. They can think for themselves and they protect their kind.

Including the Regular ones who can think like humans and also the Corrupt ones who were taken over by bloodthirsty instincts to protect their kind.

Humans needed these Beasts for their evolution and had no choice but to cooperate with them. Without Lifeline Beast, humans cannot evolve.

The need for power becomes particularly evident during the protection of humanity from Tier-10 Colossal Beast. In the starting years, the first safe zone was attacked by Tier-10 Colossal Beast many times.

Causing Humanity to migrate from one place to another. Only after the emergence of the higher-tier Beast Tamers. Humanity got a chance to breathe.

The Human Alliance as the centre, and the Beast Tamers joined together to create many safe zones thereafter building city infrastructure from scratch.

However, conflicts still arise from time to time. There are different camps among the Beasts. Beasts with human intellect have their camps.

Some get along with Humans. While others strictly distaste the Human Alliance and view every human on the planet as prey.

The Corrupted Beasts live in wild wandering groups and attack whenever they find small human settlements.

With all these existing problems, humanity has found a way to march forward. Expanding safe zones one after another in the newly expanded earth with vast land.

To track the growth of Beast Tamers and their Lifeline beasts, scientists developed a rank system divided into tiers ranging from Tier 1 to Tier 10. Each Tier consists of 9 Ranks. The Ranks were further divided into Early, Mid, and Peak Stages.

So far no Tier above Tier-10 Rank Colossal Beasts was found.

Quinlan, a simple office worker finds himself transmigrated to an extremely dangerous fantasy land as a level 1 Commoner with nothing to his name but his wits - and a unique gift that accompanied his teleportation. No one in Thalorind could have predicted that this unassuming arrival would one day rise to the top, redefining the very meaning of the term 'power'... And that he may have achieved said result by joining a criminal organization and clawing his way through its ranks. In the beginning, Quinlan was painfully weak and alone but thanks to his severe trust issues, joining a team was... hard. However, he soon noticed that a lot of people have collars around their necks in this world... People that couldn't exactly betray him. Follow Quinlan's journey as he grows in strength, amasses wealth, fights to the death, and meets lovely ladies. ... Discord: https://discord.gg/bjunEkswQ3 ... After writing over 750 chapters, here’s what you should know: 1. About the beginning: The early chapters are a bit rough. I'm not saying that it's horrible, in fact, I believe the story to be very enjoyable right from chapter 1. But, at the end of the day, this is my first original novel, and I stumbled in some areas, especially with the MC's attitude. He's too reserved and occasionally too "simpy" with the first female lead. However, the MC grows into a confident, powerful, and composed figure. No long-term cringe. He becomes the kind of MC you want to root for. 2. Quinlan’s morality: He’s not a cruel, sadistic villain. Most of the time, he won't even be acting like a real villain, only when pushed to the limit. Meaning he won't torture puppies or civilians for fun while cackling manically. However, he’s greedy, shameless, and opportunistic. If the lives of his loved ones are at stake and he can only save them by burning a city with innocents inside down, he’ll do it. He's ruthless toward strangers when necessary, but doesn't delight in cruelty. 3. Regarding slaves: Yes, Quinlan becomes a slave master. However, he treats all his women—free or enslaved—with care and respect. 4. More than smut: Every love interest has a real story, a real presence. No girl will be left behind. As of Chapter 750, Quinlan has 7 lovers and a few more "in-development" love interests. This is not a "catch them all" story, adding one girl every 20 chapters. I prefer harems made up of girls with richly developed characters over giant harems full of shallow ladies. Quality over Quantity. 5. Balanced storytelling: My aim was to create a work where romance, action, and slice-of-life blend together naturally. There’s high-stakes action, power progression, romantic developments, comedy, and some chill downtime to let both the characters and the readers breathe. 6. Weak-to-Strong Progression: Quinlan will become OP. But he rises slowly, not overnight. His journey will hopefully feel earned. 7. Not every female character listed in the fandom is a love interest: Some women are important to the plot but are not part of the harem or a planned to be, such as his two mothers. 8. No Yuri. No NTR. That's it, thank you for taking your chance on my novel! I'll make a promise to you, showing how much I believe you'll love the novel if you get over the somewhat bumpy beginning! If you read 750 chapters and hate the story even after investing so much time into it, then you may burn me alive!

Young Master's PoV: Woke Up As A Villain In A Game One Day

"Now you see?" she shouted in a mix of annoyance and disappointment. "You can't outsmart Scrients! They're the most intelligent beings across the two realms." "You're right," I muttered, averting my gaze with a heavy sigh. "I made a mistake. I was too arrogant to think that a mere human like me could fool them." —BOOM!! "Heik! Wh-What was that?" "Hmm? I'm not sure. Maybe you should go and ask the most intelligent beings across the two realms. Oh wait, you can't. I killed them all.” ______ My name is Samael Kaizer Theosbane. On the last day of high school, I got into a fight with a kid I used to bully. It was a stupid, pointless scuffle, and in the middle of it, I tripped and hit my head on a rock. That’s when the memories came flooding in - the memories of another life, of a different world. Suddenly, everything made a twisted kind of sense. I realized two things. First, I was in a game I used to play in my past life. Second, I was a villain. A villain! Not the cool and mysterious kind, either. No, my destiny was to be manipulated and die a dog's death! I was the worst type of cliché: an ungrateful, privileged, insufferable young master. The sort you'd find in those poorly written fantasy stories. The kind everyone hates — a snobby brat from a powerful noble family who thinks he owns the world just because he was born with a silver spoon lodged in his mouth. You know the type. The one the hero beats to a pulp to prove his worth. Yeah, I was that guy. And the hero? The hero was the kid I’d been bullying all this time. The same one I got into a fight with. He was the supposed savior of this damned world. A world teetering on the edge of destruction, beset by wars, calamities, and a grim future that only I knew. And at the end of it all, the final antagonist of the game, the undefeatable boss… the Spirit King, was waiting. But could I even make it to the end? Could I conquer a game where defeat was the only certainty? A game that was now my reality! “Ah, fuck it.” I had no idea if I could, but I sure as hell was going to try. Extorting extras, manipulating main characters, twisting the story to my advantage, stealing the hero’s cheat items, killing villains before they could become threats - nothing was beneath me. Would the main characters be affected? Who cares! Would the story change? Even better! All I cared about was me—my survival, my life, my choices. “I will live this life with no regrets.” …But as I soon discovered, fate was not easily changed. And the price of altering one's destiny was steep. ========== Discord Server: https://discord.gg/VjFQtDUaTR
