Chapter 3

I arrived home that day with a smile on my face. "What made you so happy, Honey? Mom asked, her arms crossed, she was a stay-at-home Mom but wasn't broke, and she sometimes made money for herself as a sub, since she had a degree in education.

"Oh, you know, i made a new group of friends."

Mom frowned."So you replaced your old group like that?" I frown."No, turns out they weren't real friends like i thought,Okay?" She nodded as i stormed to my room as i hadn't thought about them until she mentioned them and now i was sad again.

just great.

I hoped Mom wouldn't be so nosy about everything as she tended to do from time to time. Suddenly, someone knocked on my door. i groan as Mom comes into my room. "Y/N, Sorry to bother you, but you've got a call from the telephone, She informed me.

I nod and go downstairs and answer.

"Hello? I say, then hear,"hey y/n, i called to apologize."

"Mike, I forgive you, honestly, i just... had a lot going on today, shouldn't have ditched you like that."

"We all forgive you, listen uh, El has joined our friend group is that okay? we've got plans at the rink and you can join us."

"Sure, why not? i have to go though, I have homework, what time should icome?"

"Six."

"Perfect, i'll be done by then."

I hung up, and went back to my homework, i got some and was pretty stressed about it already. But i wasn't so sure about El joining the group, but she did seem pretty nice, i think i was just nervous about skating for the first time, i haven't done it before.

and certainly was never a 'me' thing I'd do.

Oh well, I'm going to give it a try.

"Y/N, you actually made it, Will said, his eyes widened in surprise. I laugh. "Of course i did, i got bored after finishing homework and i told Mike I'd come, he didn't tell you, did he?" Dustin shook his head, turning to the rink, Mike and El were skating together, talking as they did so, Mike helped Eleven up whenever she fell, and they intertwined their hands together.

I frown." Are they dating?" Lucas shook his head as he tied his skates."Nah, they've kissed but that's about it so far."

I sigh. "Okay, I'm going to start skating, let's hope you all don't fall." I winked and entered the rink, for my first try, i actually did well.

"Okay Michael, you're acting like a fool! El giggled as Mike 'accidentally' slipped. "You alone tonight? a cute blonde boy asked. I shook my head. "I'm with friends, you?"

"I'm alone tonight, my girlfriend just broke up with me."

"I'm sorry to hear that."

"Eh, it's fine, i'm Chase, and you are-?"

"Y/n. Nice to meet ya."

"Want to skate together?"

I laugh. "Sure, why not?" I held his hand as enter the rink again, i was having a blast on my own, surely i should just... stop hanging with my other friends, as in, the party of course.

Mike frowned nearby but i brushed it off, and as soon as i got hungry, i ate with Chase instead, he was kind, caring, and didn't seem to focus on another girl besides the one he was having a conversation with.

"Here's my number Y/n, He said, handing me a piece of paper. I smile. "Thanks, i'll definitely call you."

As soon as i got home, Mom asked how it went, i said it was good, and honestly, i did have a blast, i wondered about my friends, my new friends were better, i hoped chase and i would become a couple or something.

I sure needed a relationship right now.
