Elsa was the only surviving child of mr and mrs johnson.Her parent car got hit by a lorry on their way to pay a visit to elsa who was a boarding school student.The death of Elsas family came like a great shock to her. Sometimes,she blames herself for their death.Due to the death of her family, she was asked to live with her only relative which happens to be her uncle.

Some months passed away after their death, uche,who is the Father's brother took over all her fathers wealth and stopped elsa from attending school. Soon afterwards,Elsa was transformed into a housemaid rapidly and things turned miserable as well for her. She would cry day and night missing her family. sometimes, she would say "God why are you keeping me alive, I have no purpose here since my family are not with me. why don't you take my life as well?,"Meanwhile,Loveth the wife of her uncle, was a heartless and wicked woman.she took it as a hobby to maltreat elsa. she would deny Elsa food for hours.

One Saturday, after doing all the house chores, she entered the kitchen only to find out that there was no food left for her.

"Aunty ,there is no food in the kitchen to eat!!"elsa complained as her stomach began to grumbled.

"What should I do about that?,if you don't get out of myside you little witch!" loveth said in a threatening voice .

"I said get out of here stupid girl. in fact, go and wash those clothes again they look dirty!! "she shouted .

Elsa washed the clothes while crying heavily, she had to stay without food until late hours in the night. The gateman who loved her late parents saw how weak she was lying at the backyard and rushed to her aid. He felt sorry for her and gave her some food he had left in the kitchen. Since elsa was stopped from going to school she made reading every newspaper and magazine her hobby. One hot afternoon, Their family kinsmen from her village came for a visit to check up on elsa. loveth immediately dragged her in and instructed her to put on one of her nice clothes that looks beautiful and colorful so she could look good in everyones eyes .

When the elders called for elsa they were not happy because of how lean she looked and when they commented on it, The wicked woman lied that it was as a result of the death of her Family, that she was seen constantly weeping at a corner.

"Elsa rejects food claiming to be mourning her family.please my elders talk to her!! "she forged a perfect lie and winked at elsa to make sure she doesn't say anything . loveth was very insecure knowing that elsa is more beautiful and intelligent than her daughters. " my beautiful daughter the past is in the past you have to move on! Elsa was surprised on how her uncle and aunt behavior swiftly changed into the most caring people. The one that scared her the most was when loveth called her "my love" they had behaved soo innocent that the kinsmen could not suspect a thing or find fault. Elsa prayed silently in her mind for the kindness never to end but unfortunately, it did immediately the kinsmen left the house. She was ordered to go change her clothes and resume her duties as usual. will she ever be happy?
