While speeding up, he said, "Miss, WHY DIDN'T YOU TELL ME EARLIER???" The driver was in shock.
She replied quietly, taking a lollipop out of her mouth to talk. "I told you I needed to go to the hospital earlier, didn't I?" she asked.
"THAT'S NOT WHAT I MEAN, I NEED TO CALL THE BOSS AND TELL HIM TO MEET US IN THE HOSPITAL!!!!" He screamed while dialling a number.
"Do whatever you want, I don't care." She said, putting the lollipop inside her mouth while enjoying the taste of it.
"Hello," the other person answered the call, which made Lydia feel Familiar with the voice. Who else then Daniel would it be?
"Bo-Boss Mis..." The driver was one of his men. He knew that how dangerous he was, he was too terrified.
"What are you babbling about? If you have something, then say it. Stop wasting my time." He said in a mad tone.
As he said, he did not take a breath. "Miss Lydia got stabbed in her hand and right now we are heading towards the hospital!"
"What the hell are you saying? Why is Lydia even here? What hospital are you going" He screamed?
"I do..don't know, but we're going to -Presbyterian Hospital at Weill Cornell." The driver answered in freighting voice. He didn't know what to do. Should he concentrate on the road or should he talk to his cold boss?
He quickly ended the call by saying, "Okay, I'll be there in 15 minutes.".
Curious, she asked, "What did that guy say?".
"The master said he'll be there 15 minutes," He answered.
"What an idiot to make his wife wait for him." She muttered under her breath.
As she didn't want to wait for him, when they arrived, she went straight into the hospital and sat with some nurses and doctors in the VIP room. The nurses and doctors stood there doing their jobs. In the beginning, they were going to perform an operation, but Lydia thought it would take too long, so she went ahead to do it directly. There were things she didn't want to go through, such as anesthesia, which is a drug that keeps you from feeling pain during a medical procedure.
There are some anesthesias that numb a small area of the body, and she knew how weak her body is, and she nearly fainted in the car, but she didn't want to attract attention so she tried to compose herself. In her past life, she was a doctor, so she knew that once those drugs entered her body, it might affect her, and she had seen many people go through that. People with weak bodies sometimes remained in a coma for a long time, and it was almost impossible to predict when they were going to wake up. As someone who just awoke from a coma, why would she want to go straight into another one -- especially when she does not know when she will return to her former state.
"You might faint during the process, Miss Lydia, since you've touched many things. Germs got in there, and you've even got an infection. It'll be hard to suture even after we clean it. It might make you faint since you have low blood pressure." The doctor asked her. "Are you sure you don't want an operation?" He asked again, worried that she might faint.
She replied, "I gave an answer a long time ago.".
"Michael, please find me a charger." She continued, ignoring the worried doctor in front of her.
"The young master called to tell us he was in the hospital on his way to here," he said, and he went to find one for her.
Two seconds later after Mickael got out someone come followed by two other persons. While strutting towards the couch, the person in front walked with his hands in his pocket like he owned the world.
"Young master Daniel!" The doctor gasped in surprise, but Lydia remained calm because she was expecting her dangerous husband to arrive at any moment. The calm Lydia poured a cup of water into the glass behind the bed and began drinking as if nothing had happened, who would have thought that she would end up drinking her own medicine.
'It is good to see you again, dear husband.' She said inside her head.
