Chapter 21""Problematic vending machines"

On Saturday morning, Wilhelm finished breakfast and left his house to head to Jonas's house. He had already told his mother, Inger, that he might have to sleep over at Jonas's house if they ended up studying late into the night.

Before reaching Jonas's house, Wilhelm decided to stop at a vending machine to buy some snacks and drinks. He knew that many convenience stores were closed on weekends, so the vending machine was his best option.

As he scanned the QR code to pay for his drink, he tried pressing the button to release the drink, but nothing happened. He tried again, but still, nothing happened. Wilhelm became increasingly frustrated and started to curse under his breath.

"Why won't this stupid machine work?" he muttered, pressing the button harder.

After several unsuccessful attempts, Wilhelm finally gave up and walked away from the vending machine. Just as he was about to turn the corner, he heard a loud noise. He turned around to see that a can of drink had fallen into the delivery slot.

Wilhelm couldn't believe his luck. He cursed again, this time out of frustration that the vending machine had only released his drink after he had given up and walked away.

As he picked up the can of drink from the delivery aisle, he couldn't help but feel annoyed at the vending machine. "I'm never using one of these things again," he muttered to himself.

He continued on his way to Jonas's house, hoping that the rest of his day would go more smoothly.
