Adrian couldn't believe he was still alive. He touched his body, checking to make sure everything was real. Opening his eyes, he marveled at the fact that he was still breathing. Consequently, his role was relegated to performing menial tasks within the inner sect, primarily maintaining the swords of fellow disciples and elders. Fortunately, the sect not only focus on swords this allowed him some free time for cultivation.

In the vast forest of the sect, Liu Ming was on a quest to gather herbs for creating a solution to maintain the sect's swords. And how did Liu Ming died he(Adrian) didn't know because he not found any memory related to this . As he checked his body he discovered a black ring on his finger – the same ring he had picked up from an alley on Earth before his transmigration.

Examining the ancient-style ring made of an unknown material, Liu Ming noticed vague lines etched onto its surface. Puzzled by how the ring had accompanied him from Earth, he questioned, "How was I able to transmigrate?" Touching the black ring on his finger, Liu Ming pondered the enigma.
