Chapter 17: Alliance getto!

Chapter 17: Alliance getto!

- Emperor Kaiser (Sora Heiwajima) –

Kaiser looked around the table as he hesitated about which to eat first. They all looked very tasty and delicious looking.

As Kaiser was struggling to decide what to eat, he suddenly saw the beautiful Okonomiyaki Kyoto style sitting not far from him. He didn't hesitate to choose the food, taking a nice portion of the food on his plate.

Kaiser couldn't resist the temptation of trying the Kyoto-style okonomiyaki. As he took his first bite, his taste buds were treated to a delightful flavour explosion.

The crispy edges of the pancake offered a satisfying crunch, while the inner of the okonomiyaki was a combination of flavours and textures. He could still taste the cabbage's sweetness, the meat's savoury taste, and the drizzle of rich special sauce that tied it all together. The harmonious blend of ingredients and the balance of sweet and savoury made it a truly memorable dish.

With the delightful taste of the Kyoto-style okonomiyaki still lingering, Kaiser's curiosity was piqued, and he couldn't resist trying the sukiyaki. He was transported into a world of exquisite flavours as he took a bite of the thinly sliced beef bathed in the sweet and savoury broth.

The tender meat practically melted in his mouth, and he relished the dish's umami flavour. The chemistry of flavours was a symphony in his mouth, with the sweetness of the broth harmonizing perfectly with the savoury beef. Adding vegetables and tofu added depth to the experience, making it a wholesome and satisfying culinary journey.

Kaiser couldn't help but glance around the room to check on his fellow diners and their reactions to the exquisite Kyoto cuisine. His sharp eyes scanned the table, observing their expressions and responses to the delectable dishes before them.

He noticed that Queen Carmilla and her entourage, initially hesitant due to the intensity of their conversation, had now shifted their focus to the food. Their expressions had softened, replaced by looks of genuine enjoyment and appreciation for the culinary delights laid out before them. The heavy atmosphere in the room seemed to have lifted, replaced by an air of contentment.

Kaiser's observant gaze turned towards Queen Carmilla to see what dishes she had chosen to sample. Her regal and discerning nature made her selections particularly interesting to him.

Queen Carmilla had a plate of Kaiseki Ryori before her, delicately savouring each component of the traditional multi-course meal. Her composed and measured approach reflected a refined palate, and it was clear that she appreciated the intricacies of Kyoto cuisine. The presentation and flavours captivated her attention, drawing her into the culinary experience.

Kaiser's discerning gaze shifted to Myotismon and Bulkmon, keen to gauge their reactions to the food. Myotismon, with his aristocratic demeanour, appeared to be savouring each bite with a composed and appreciative expression. The richness of the dishes seemed to align with his refined tastes, and he indulged in the culinary experience with sophistication.

Bulkmon, on the other hand, had a more boisterous approach to the meal. He was devouring the dishes with enthusiasm, his expressions reflecting pure delight. His hearty appetite seemed to relish this restaurant's bold flavours, and he thoroughly enjoyed the experience.

Kaiser's curious gaze shifted to the girls Queen Carmilla brought with her, Avrora and Elmen, to see what dishes had piqued their interest.

Avrora and Elmen had chosen a variety of dishes to sample, their plates a colourful array of flavours. They also enthusiastically indulged in the Kaiseki Ryori, savouring the fresh sashimi and crispy tempura. Their animated conversations between bites suggested a shared delight in the different elements of the multi-course meal.

Soon, Kaiser's attention was attracted to the noise of the cutlery sound hitting the plate as he looked up for the source of the sound and saw Queen Carmilla looking at him. It seemed like she was ready to restart the conversation.

Kaiser was fine with it since he already ate a lot. He was also eager to start this war as it could benefit him and his Digimon.

With an air of determination, Queen Carmilla wasted no time and asked her question, her voice steady and unwavering. "Kaiser, as we were discussing earlier, the involvement of this mysterious third party in the ongoing war is indeed a matter of great concern. But tell me, what precisely do you know about this third party and how deeply they are involved with the Tepes?"

Kaiser responded with a certain vagueness, choosing his words carefully. "My knowledge about this third party is not as extensive as I would like it to be, Queen Carmilla. They've remained elusive, operating in the shadows, making it challenging to discern their true intentions. I know that their presence presents an element of unpredictability to the entire world, not just the vampire world. We must ally and face this catastrophe together!."

Queen Carmilla carefully considered Kaiser's response. She could sense the intentional vagueness in his words, yet she understood that some information might be sensitive or uncertain. She didn't expect this so-called group who were messing with her territory to be able to influence the whole world. She wasn't sure if she could trust his world as she knew many powerful beings in this world compared to Kaiser, who just stepped into the limelight.

She leaned back in her chair, a cunning glint in her eyes. "I appreciate your honesty, Emperor Kaiser. We share a common interest in resolving this troublesome war. If you have any information or insights in the future regarding this mysterious third party, I trust that you will share it with us. After all, a potential alliance should be built on trust and cooperation."

Kaiser took a moment to deliberate, weighing the implications of revealing the true identity of the third party. After considering the potential consequences, he decided to disclose more detailed information. "Queen Carmilla, the group involved in your civil war is the 'Khaos Brigade,' a notorious terrorist group for its ambitions and influence. More precisely, it's that Rizevim himself that is involved in your affair."

The name "Rizevim" carried a weight of significance, and the room seemed to grow heavier as the revelation hung in the air. Queen Carmilla's expression shifted, reflecting more profound concern and hatred. She even crushed a part of the table by accident when she heard the name uttered by Kaiser.

The situation completely changed as Kaiser had the advantage of the conversation. From all the groups or people that could be involved, she never would have thought that this madman would spread chaos in her territory.

She then looked at Kaiser differently as she now regarded him as a peer. After all, she had fought in this civil war for many years, yet she couldn't detect such a conspiracy. She felt a chill behind her back as she remembered her encounter with this terrible devil.

As the vampires absorbed this new information, it was clear that the direction of this possible alliance became necessary.

"That bastard…" muttered Queen Carmilla with much hatred and frustration. She then looked at Kaiser with some admiration.

"I'm very impressed, Emperor Kaiser, even knowing that Rizevim himself is orchestrating this entire war, yet you are willing to steal Valerie of his vicious plan? I must say, you have a huge heart and earned my respect." Said Queen Carmilla as she immediately discovered some crucial points from the revelation.

The queen's insightful mind quickly pieced together the motives behind Rizevim's involvement. She knew that Valerie's Sacred Gear was the likely cause of his interest, and his penchant for chaos was no secret. Kaiser's actions had earned her respect and gratitude, and she acknowledged his audacity.

Kaiser's response to Queen Carmilla's admiration was marked by a grin, albeit tinged with a hint of trepidation. "Indeed, while I may not comprehend the full horror of Rizevim, I have confidence in my own strength."

He was well aware that facing Rizevim was a daunting prospect, and he remained uncertain of how Rizevim's sinister plan had progressed. Kaiser was no fool; he knew that this world wasn't a mere reflection of the canon story from his previous life. In the real world, nothing was absolute, and countless variables were at play.

He pondered the possibility that Rizevim might have already advanced his plans, potentially including the cloning of Ophis. Rizevim's very presence and machinations were bound to have profound effects on the world, and Kaiser could only fortify his strength and resolve in response.

In the face of uncertainty, Kaiser remained determined, knowing that their alliance was vital step in his present and future plans.

Queen Carmilla, now viewing Kaiser as an equal in their newfound alliance, reciprocated his grin with interest and determination. "Interesting, interesting... I shall accept this alliance, given your confidence in dealing with him. We can discuss the details at a later time."

With a graceful gesture, Queen Carmilla and her entourage prepared to depart, and a magical circle formed beneath them, signaling their imminent departure.

Kaiser nodded in acknowledgment. "Thank you for this meeting, Queen Carmilla. We will reconvene in a week."

As the vampires began to vanish from his sight, Kaiser noticed a small object that had been placed in his hand. It was a stunning blood-red crystal, shaped like a teardrop, and he could sense the faint traces of magic emanating from within.

Before they disappeared entirely, Queen Carmilla answered the unspoken question that had crossed Kaiser's mind. "Consider this a token of our friendship. With it, you can access our territory whenever necessary. Let us meet again in a week."

After their departure, Kaiser's loyal Digimon, Myotismon, offered his respectful observation. "The alliance was a success, my Emperor."

Kaiser, deep in thought, gazed outside the room's mirror. "Yes, it was. Now, we must prepare ourselves for the upcoming war."

The first phase of Kaiser's plan had been accomplished, and the path ahead was clear. With their alliance secured, they would need to navigate the complexities of the war, with their ultimate goal being the rescue of Valerie from Rizevim's grasp.

Bulkmon's eyes glinted with anticipation and a hint of madness as he expressed his eagerness for the upcoming battle. This was a long-awaited opportunity for him to unleash his pent-up frustration, having rarely engaged in combat except with his siblings. Moreover, the prospect of evolving into an Ultimate Digimon motivated him even further.

Myotismon, the ever-loyal advisor, inquired about their next course of action. Kaiser, now focused on the preparations for the impending war, instructed him, "Recall everyone outside to the Digi Lab and initiate the production of potions and trinkets. We must make the necessary arrangements for the war. Additionally, have Ninjamon and Bakemon scout the area."

Myotismon nodded in acknowledgment, and his form disintegrated into data, disappearing from the room.

Kaiser turned his attention to Bulkmon, emphasizing the importance of protecting the younger Digimon. "I expect you to train your brothers and sisters but ensure that the baby Digimon are not involved in the conflict. They won't be needed in this war."

Bulkmon, ever the loyal warrior, grinned and responded before leaving in the same manner as Myotismon, "Understood, boss!"

With his commands delivered and his allies mobilized, Kaiser was ready to leave the room. However, he was interrupted by a knock on the door, indicating the arrival of the restaurant's staff.

Upon confirming his readiness to depart, the servers swiftly and efficiently cleared the table. "Thank you for visiting our establishment, sir," they expressed with deep respect, bowing in unison.

As Kaiser left the private room, he knew that the alliance forged during this meeting marked the beginning of a new step in this new life.

Kaiser waved in gratitude to the servers and expressed his thanks for the delightful meal. As he prepared to leave the restaurant, he exited without paying, as a resourceful fox had already handled the bill.

With his thoughts drifting to the sly fox with a penchant for mischief, Kaiser decided it was time to pay her a visit. The meeting with the vampire queen had concluded peacefully, and now he had time to relax with someone special to him.
