Chapter 5 (Rewrite)

(Authors Note: This chapter has the biggest change so far I hop you like its. Is still going to be training montage time skip style. Slice of life with babies can be super boring so we're skipping a bit.)

After the afternoon spent with Tim and Alfred I summon two cards and draw the magic skill book and the Gate spell. I spend the early evening reading. I notice that I can read and understand fast then before.

Working together with Tim and Alfred I begin practicing the new Gate power. First with just opening a gate in the cabin we're in and then with Tim's help in secluded areas that are in the area that we are currently live in.

Over the next two weeks we test out Gating in to stationary car, then a mobile car. Turns out that the gate doesn't care if the object you trying to get to is moving our not. Alfred tested getting in and out of the moving car while its moving at slow speeds and had no issues and the tried the same while moving at spends. That's a little harder. Like trying to climb in the back seat of a moving car at high speeds. You can do it it just take practice It takes us two weeks to figure out the ability.

Honestly that's when I realized how OP my powers can be. It doesn't even matter if its night time and the picture I have in my head is in daylight I can still open the Gate.

I can't wait until I have been cleared to exercise so I can train with Tim and start doing vigilante work. I want to take Tim in to the Dungeons with me too. While I was awake in the early hours of the morning I read more about the Dungeons.

I could take anyone that I considered a friend or ally with me. The people that I take wouldn't die in the real world if they died in the dungeon same as myself. The items they get in the dungeon will be theirs in the real world. Killing bosses and other special "monster/people" (depending on the dungeon) will give you an special items. Once a dungeon is open it will be available to me via the enter until I have completed it if it is a completable dungeon (has and ending to the story, ie God of War or Subnautica or The Hobbit.) When you exit or finish the dungeon you return where you started it in the real world but in the state that you are in in the dungeon. (AN. I wanted it this way so that that some dungeons are open all the time. Like the Zombie dungeon.)

I could feel the difference Barbara made to me. I was remembering everything I saw, heard, tasted, touched or smelt. It was hard to get used to. But I now know how to do the things on the net that were needed for this saving the hero's business. Not just hacking, programming at a speed that was almost unnatural and doing more then three things at once on the computer. I Adhd before this but this was impressive.

I read the singing, defensive driving, and magic skill books have all been learnt and right now I am saving all my points and rolls for later. I have way too many cards as it is. I'll have to see if I can sort them by type in the deck later on. I also spend time doing research, using my new skills and using the computer to practice programming. I don't want to execute the Shadow and Sword program until I know its undetectable. The test will be JAVIS. For now Tim and I are still working on it.

All this work has made the assimilation of Barbara much faster then I was expecting, it's near 100% at the end of the two weeks compared to how long it's taking Ty. I still hold to my theory that once I'm allowed to work out that hers will go up fast too as Ty Lee was more of a physical based person. Being able to train with Tim should put that to the test.

Right now I have hopefully my final appointment. The twins will still need to be seen again in 5 weeks.

Again the appointments were fine. I have been cleared to drive, work out and travel.

Back at the caravan park we all sit at the table while the children nap to talk about the next step.

We need to make a decision on where to set up the company, the headquarters and what we want the company to do exactly. We had brainstorming missions before and had come up with some great ideas some as equally silly.

"I want the company's main headquarters and tech factory to be set up in Los Angeles and our personal labs and offices in NY when we get to that stage. For now start with a small building in LA and a cheap apartment or house. With us three working together we should be able to start the needed development of new phones, computers and other technology tech that you have from your worlds. But for now we should focus on online businesses to bring in our fist lot of income. I'm talking about online movie and tv streaming and live streaming platforms, somethings like that"

"Like twitch and Netflix?" Tim nodded his head and began making the websites and the programs that ran them.

"You had them in your world?" I look at him asking.

"Yeah they were really popular with gamers and singers. Wait, you know them?"

"Nice. Um yeah, in my original world we had them too."

"Original?" "Original, Ma'am?"

Working away on the program I answer their question without looking at them. "Yeah. It was a very boring and hard world. No heroes or aliens. Just a horrible pandemic and the UN and Russia trying to start WWIII."

"How did you end up here?" Asked Alfred.

"I died and The Gods asked me if I wanted to try living here." I look up at both of them. "So far I am very happy I did."

"Me too Ma'am." "Same."

"I also want to start training with you both. This world is not a safe one. Killing will be necessary in the future. I'm not saying we kill everyone Tim." I held up a hand to stop his protest. "I'm just letting you know that there will be a time that we don't have a choice. It won't be for a while though hopefully."

"Oh, and never tell anyone what I just told you."

Splitting our time between programming, training and the twins, four weeks went by quickly. I have a notification every 7th of the month to remind me to add $100 US to the system.

We had the Twitch website up and running with subs, emotes, donations, ads and channels all working. We advertised it on Reddit and other gaming forums and were starting to see our first few Twitch streamers and watches online. The parent company we decided to call Myst Enterprises.

The other name options were Orphans since well all were or Hamburger when we finally got hangry. Why Myst? Well, apparently when Tim and Alfred were asked to come here they were waiting in a mist-like cloud. I liked the idea and the name stuck.

Tim had decided to be the face and first moderator of twitch for now. Having his own twitch stream and channel new people to go to about how it all works. This gives him a public face that everyone can see and get to know, making his hero work easier later on.

I can be seen with my kids in the background on occasion when he has a question about the future of Twitch that he wants me to answer. Twitch Chat calls me Boss Mama and Tim Baby Dragon. I laughed way too hard at his pout when the chat called him that the first time.

I had to go to the store and buy him chocolate to get him to talk to me again that day. The training that day was rough as he didn't go easy on me. I managed to use some of the Ty Lee techniques to stop him a couple of times. Getting used to the abilities of another person in your body is weird.

We also spent time in black basic catsuits that Alfred made, jumping around the city helping people when we could but mostly practicing parkour and stealth. My first night was awful.

I got punched in the face twice. One of the ladies I saved tried to kiss me. I fell off a 3 story building, missed judging the jump and landed in a dumpster. Tim laughed so hard he nearly peed himself. He was still laughing about it 3 weeks later whenever he randomly thought about it.

Thankfully, I got better over time. It's not Batman and Robin standard but we make it work. We also talked about his hero name and costume and whether he wants to be faceless or not.

He has no desire to be batman robin or red robin in the universe so I suggested that he think about it as we have no need to rush right now.

We became real siblings this time together.

After that debacle of my first time as a vigilante I decide to go to the zombie dungeon alone to work on my abilities and improve my assimilation with Barbara and Ty Lee.

I drove away from the caravan park and found a park not far away for the mall that was currently empty of children. I didn't know what would happen when I enter the dungeon but if fanfic's taught me anything then I had no desire to fight a zombified Alfred or Tim. I hope that that wouldn't be the case though but better safe than sorry.

I draw the Zombie Dungeon card.

Thoooom. An ominous droning sound echoes in my ears as a white light flashes blinding my temporally. The park that was once bright with green grass and trees was now withered, brown and lifeless. The sky that was once a clear blue was a sickly gray and orange color.

[Creation Successful. Dungeon Opened.]

I quickly look around the park and check to see if there was any zombies around. Seeing nothing I go into my deck and draw the Hunting Knife, the Earring Of Ripples and Black Canary Body Armor. It's best to try and be stealthy. I pulled the earrings I had in my ears and throw them into my inventory and I equip the armor inside the inventory.

That was an experience. It don't even know how to explain the feeling. You're dressed, naked, then dressed again within milliseconds.

Looking at the weapon slot on my inventory I put the knife in the first slot and closed the inventory when I closed the inventory the knife appeared in my hand. I thought about slot 2 and it disappeared. thinking slot 1 again the knife appears.

"Handy... Snicker."

Leaving the park and heading in the direction of the street I keep an eye out and listen carefully for zombies. Everyone has seen at least one zombie movie. Those bastard can be cunning and quick. In the distance I can hear the moans and groans of what most likely in a zombie or two. Heading in that direction to investigate I have my weapon at a ready trying to be stealthy.

(Warning! Graphic Description's of Zombies ahead. Skip 5 Paragraphs ahead if you have a weak stomach.)

Coming to a cross roads at a set of lights there is a group of three zombies. Even though I have seen zombies in movies and games it didn't prepare me for the real thing. They smelled of sewer water and rotting flesh. Like when you drive past road kill on the side of the road and you weren't fast enough to put ac on recycle or driving past the sewage treatment plant that you didn't know was there. I wasn't even that close to them yet.

BlargH. Stopping myself from vomiting and breathing through my mouth I head towards the zombies and they turn to me. I don't know if I was making too much noise trying not to hurl or if they could smell me somehow.

These zombies were all male. One looks like he was an office worker dress in what was left of a now rotting and shredded suit. The other two appear to be tradesman by what left of their clothes. All of them were missing their at least on shoes.

Coming up so I'm about 5 feet from the zombie in defensive mode the appearance of them is even worse then the smell. Entire clumps of flesh rotting, missing or hanging off part of their bodies and faces one had no eyes left and another had both eyeball hanging out of their sockets. The insects were even worse. Maggots eating away at the flesh, flies and cockroaches moving around the wounds and through the skull.

It creeped me out and I felt shivers of fear run down my spine. All of this happened as the I was dodging away from their attacks. Steeling myself as one of the zombies stumbles. I stab it in the head and pull the blade out and flip the blade into a reverse grip as I jumped of of the way of another I use my momentum to cut of the zombie head. It was much easier then I thought and the bodies off both disappear into dust I face off with the third zombie. Approaching the last one I engage it by using a sweep kick to knock it off its feet I then kneel in a swift motion and stab it through its rotting gaping mouth. Like the others the bodies turn to dust.

I vomit on the ground as the smell finally overwhelms me losing the battle with my stomach. Wiping my mouth with a baby wipe while looking at the ground where the zombie where I see that there is cash. In total $16 not a bad score. I wonder if the rewards are higher as the zombies are harder to beat.

Spending the next few hours entering homes and store clearing zombies and gathering any loot that seems interesting I amass a small fortune in cash, I have some laptops and phones to use as burners. Maybe because this is Australia but there is a lack of weapons. I could try and hit a police station and get their weapon but I don't fell ready for that.

The few cops I've seen on the streets have no firearms. Most likely they lost them in what battle happened before they turned to zombies. The cop zombies where a much harder battle, the riot ones even harder then that. I was covered in bruises and cuts from head to toe.

Finding a clear house I draw the Bag of Senzu Beans and eat one, putting the rest in the inventory before unequipping my armor and weapon. Going in to the menu I exit. There is another flash of light as the world returns in the bright and vibrant greens and blues. Returning to the park and the time I had started in a few hours before.
