POLESTAR ISLAND - LOGUETOWN!
As the darkness faded and light took its place. My eyes fluttered, giving me glimpses of the bright blue sky flowing with cotton white clouds above the buildings of an… Alleyway? What a peculiar place to wake up but I guess it's better than going through birth again.
Having gained my senses back completely, I sat up on the pave-stone that lay beneath me as I leaned my back against a set of cargo boxes that just so happened to be behind me. I didn't get to think much because a second later, an influx of memories flooded my brain, as well as information about my powers, the fruit I ate, and the world I was in.
It was interesting to say the least. The last place I thought I'd be transmigrated to is a world factioned between marines and outlaws; Four giant seas struck a surprise too but that's not all that shocking.
I was in a world once where the whole world was literally water… Barely any land above it. At most? There was probably like… Two islands max, maybe more. I died rather quickly in that world due to the alien life forms that inhabited the world. I didn't have any sort of cheat either; Just my knowledge about technology and the world, but that could only get me so far.
…
My name is Ryujinn, a seven year old boy living in the slums. No parental figure or siblings. I live a rather lonely life that isn't full of excitement most kids my age would be having.
I'm already living an adult life.
The kids dreams and aspirations before I took over was to gain an unending wealth in all categories. Be it smarts, strength, or even experience. The kid wanted it all.
But the thing he wanted the most was freedom, the ability to do anything he desired with no consequences.
In short terms… The kid wanted to be a pirate, or an outlaw. And he had the right idea about needing strength, so at least I didn't take over a dumb asses body.
Now, moving on. That little fruit was called something like… Sen Sen No Mi? Translating over to war war fruit.
And I ate it, so that makes me a war human? What the fuck? The sense this makes is zero to none but it came with a few neat tricks.
Still in my seated position, I reach out my right hand, palm raised to the sky. The next second, a small little tornado ran rampant in the palm of my hand, throwing up and disturbing the nearby posters and leaves that littered the dirty alleyway pavement.
I couldn't help but smile at my fortune of having the power of a, "Devils Fruit" at the bright age of seven. Taking into account my actual age and experience, getting the hang of these fruit abilities would be a piece of cake, though for something named so valiantly, it's rather plain…
Wind/air manipulation is literally all it grants me I think… It's a little odd is all.
Anyway, 'before I go on about everything else I was granted…'
Taking a look around, taking in the pedestrians scattering the town around me, I decided it'd be best to take inventory once I'm home. I'd rather not run the risk of being found messing around with my little abilities.
Standing up with a little stumble, I make my way through the alleyway, stopping at a dirtied, broken mirror laying on the black brick wall of a building. I took in my new appearance and I gotta say…
My looks are out of this world, even for being a child.
Wavy black curls that sprouted freely from my scalp, pure black irises and pupils, and porcelain white skin that would've shone brightly if it wasn't for my dirtied state. My facial features weren't matured or anywhere near being matured, but I was cute. Soft cheekbones and fluffy cheeks, a noticeable jawline but not to define…
Anyone with a good eye would know I'd grow up to be a lady killer.
Shaking my head with a sigh, I take a deep breath and take my first real step out into this new world. Starting with my home town.
…
The bustling town was nothing to scoff at. From memories alone I knew that this place was a sight for sore eyes, but the surprise was still there. 'A world as rural and undeveloped as this? I didn't expect… All this.' I mused, relaxing my widened eyes.
"Oof!" I involuntarily let out a noise as a full grown man pushed me out his way, even throwing a stink eye my way.
"Out of the way, mutt." He spat, glaring at me as he fixed his white tuxedo, the woman on his arm giggling as she dragged him away. Moving on and not sparing them a single glance, I dodge and weave throughout the crowd, trying my best to keep my filth on my rugged gray fitted clothes to myself as I make my way home.
"Come try fresh-made sushi filled burritos! If you're afraid of new things, don't worry! We have free samples!" A lone hustler hunting for customers shouted from his stall, the aroma of his food mixed with his simple but good looks drew in a few customers. Hell, the smell alone would have drawn me in but I need to get home. So I didn't pay it any mind, but I did make sure to remember his face!
Free samples can be taken advantage of after all!
It wasn't long till I made it to what this kid called home. It was a run down shack off towards the dock where storage supplies come in. Made of brick and wood, ignoring the few holes that littered almost every wall, it was a rather good starter home. Especially in a town that's full of rich people… In a normal world, even getting something as dingy as this would cost a good amount just to rent, so I'm not complaining.
Quickly getting entering shack, I sighed and plopped down on the deflated pile of dirty white pillows that acted as my future bed/futon.
'The way this body gets tired so easily needs to be fixed…' I noted mentally with a frown while attempting to control my breathing to ease my body heat.
I sat down criss crossing my legs and getting in a meditative position. I didn't have a lot of time but I'd like to get this power check over with.
Taking a deep breath in, holding it for a few seconds, and releasing slowly. I felt my view change from the darkness of my eyelids to a bright but red stained field. What I was looking at was my soul, in simple terms the white is the strength of my soul and the red is what I guess you could consider my sins.
Anyway, that's useless information.
'Focus.' Mentally reminding myself of the rush I was in, I hastily surfed the very being of my soul and lying in the middle of it was the exact gift I was looking for.
A beautifully crafted katana gifted to me by a Goddess. Struggling to keep my smile under wraps, I grabbed the katana and opened my eyes, and as I thought. The katana was brought with me.
"A high class weapon for a low class beggar… What a coincidence." I muttered sarcastically with a smile. I feel like this life would be an easy one… I haven't even gotten to what the reincarnation bastard had gifted me and yet I'm sure I'd make it just fine for a while in this world until I get older.
The sword and devils fruit mixed with a body holding infinite potential, thanks to the reincarnation bastard, and an absolute will?
'I can't wait to cause some trouble…'
KNOCK KNOCK!
"Ryu! Ryu! Hurry! You need to come quick! Let me in!"
