CHAPTER 3

Slowly, Chandni had returned to her old life, with one main difference that now she was no longer alone. Her and Raj's son, Suneet, was with her; her only reason to carry on. Her father, Mr. Roy, wanted her to go to Dubai for change of air, "Why don't you go to Dubai for some time? The trip will give you a breather, and maybe after some time, you can think about moving on." He kept his eyes on her to see if she was even remotely receptive to the idea, but she was visibly upset at his suggestion.

"Papa, never mention this again. I'm telling this to you, once and for all. Suneet is my only future now, and there is no moving on for me."

Mr. Roy even requested Trisha to speak to Chandni and convince her, but even Trisha was unable to convince Chandni, "Di, please don't mention it again and again, it pains me to hear it. Your brother (Raj) has given me enough love in the last five years to last my lifetime. My happiness departed from this world with him. He was a perfect man and a perfect husband, and I have never seen anyone like him."

Mr. Roy and Trisha could see that Chandni was adamant about her decision, and gave up, for the time being, on trying to change her mind.
