Despite the rocky start, Mia and her son grow closer to all the members of both the groups. With time, the members realize they have fallen in love with the same woman, disrupting each group's dynamics. Soo Yon-A Strange Comfort

'How about grey hair?' Mina noona asked.

'Mmmm...any other color? I don't wanna look like an old man,' I said.

'Brown?'

'Already had it for the last comeback.'

'Blue?'

'Had it during my debut.'

'Might as well go bald!'

We were having a hard time deciding on my new hair color for the upcoming music video. In the twelve years, I probably tried every color. We were at our wits end.

Mia walked in. Two weeks passed since she joined us and she already adapted to our work standards. The CEO loved her designs and the management was impressed by her work at our last variety show.

'Soo-Yon sir,' she said. 'Here are the design samples for the clothes you'll be wearing in the MV.'

She handed me the notes.

'Since the song is about unrequited love and the theme consists of soft colors, I thought the clothes should be as simple as possible,' she explained. 'If you look at this...'

She turned the page to show a design of a brown leather jacket with jeans and a woolen

red muffler.

'Since the song is called 'Red', this clothing focuses more on the red muffler. And this one here...'

She turned the pages to show more designs. All the designs were intricately drawn and perfectly matched with the theme of the music video. I was awed by the passion she filled in her work. The designs were very simple but were personalized to my taste. She knew what I liked without even asking.

'I am confused,' I said. 'All these designs are so...beautiful. All of them speak to me.'

'Speak to you?' Mia was confused.

'Hm,' I said. 'All your designs have a soul. Each unique on its own. But they only speak to the person who will wear them. Not to anyone else.'

'I-I honestly didn't understand what you just said,' Mia said sheepishly. 'Is that a good thing?'

I smiled at her. 'That's what makes you a great designer,' I said. She still looked confused.

'All these designs sure are amazing,' Mina noona complimented. 'So much thought put into every of them.'

'Thank you unnie,' Mia said, bowing down. 'I put my heart and soul into them.'

'But there's a problem,' I said gravely.

'What is it, sir?' Mia asked, concerned.

'I still don't know which one to choose!' I exclaimed. 'Tell you what. You choose one for me.'

I handed over the designs to her.

'I can't-' she protested.

'I insist,' I said. 'Choose one. I trust your judgment.'

She hesitated before taking the notes. She kept on turning the pages until she settled on one.

'This one,' she said pointing to a design. It consisted of a soft blue shirt and black pants. It was the simplest one out of all the designs she made.

'Why this one?' I asked. 'Isn't it too simple?'

'That was the point,' she said. 'The song is about pure love, right? The boy's true and innocent love for the girl. So the character's dress up should be simpler and less flashy but also radiate the vibrant image of the boy. Hence, I made this one with those thoughts in mind. Since you have a charismatic aura, these simple clothing will amplify that image.'

Mia's words left me blushing. People called me charismatic but hearing it from Mia's mouth was strangely comforting.
