I saw other authors were posting reviews of their stories so I decided to take a page from the Dao of shamelessness. I've you've ever read one of my stories on other platforms you know I enjoy writing genderbender fictions. This is one too. Saw the contest here and decided 'why not'. The plot is fairly ******. Super cultivator has reincarnated once again. This is his third life, but this time he ends up in a world of magic in the body of a young girl. Dead family, surrounded by monsters (both human and otherwise), and stuck in a terrible dark forest, The Sage must strive to get stronger and survive. I'll try my best to edit mistakes as I go, but I am doing this as a hobby and alone for now. Release schedule is planned for one chapter a day with the average word-count being 1500, more or less. If I make it into the top 100 I'll try for two chapters a day, though. If you have any suggestions I love reading comments on my chapters and I would love for reviews, too.
I like it! Basic isekai story with a twist. Sounds like a million other stories, right? But the writing is where this one shines. The characters are great. The great sage who is now a teenage girl and his former disciple/adopted daughter who's now a yandere helicopter mom make a great duo, and I can't wait to see the others get fleshed out. The world seems interesting with hints of several complex magic systems, gods, demons, great beasts, powerful people, and more. It's still early days, but I've got high hopes for this one.
The plot seems interesting, the characters are funny, and the mix of cultivation and magic makes me want to keep reading to see how the combination affects the story's universe. The grammar and sentence flows are also easy to understand so I don't have to reread them unlike in some translated novels. Overall I really like the story.
The following will be a sincere and in-dept review: A beautiful blend of Eastern and Western fantasy leading to a world with unexplored possibilities. The revolutionary fusion of the two cultures brings about a whole new world by nullifying the limitations that each side possesses. The writing is good albeit certain grammatical errors. Nevertheless, the reading experience is still rather enjoyable and I have to say that out of all the hundreds of web novels and light novels that I’ve read, this story has the most potential and the most originality. My first light novel that I ever read was Genius Doctor Black Belly Miss and that really brought about the transmigration craze in me. However, most transmigration novels are horribly cliché with the usual abandoned-by-family trope and face-slapping two-faced step sisters. In conclusion, what I’m trying to say is that this original novel has none of that crap cliché scenarios. You can tell that the author really put a lot of effort into planning. This novel can easily rival big name authors out there. Good job dear author and I hope that you’ll never drop your pen until the end.
