Unfamiliar Room

Waking up by the sound of fire crackling at the corner of the room, Aria felt a slight pain in her head as she got an ominous feeling of foreign surroundings.

"Where am I? What has happened to me? Why am I here in this room all of a sudden? Who brought me here?"

Series of questions began to pop out of her mind. As she tried to recall the event that happened before she loses her consciousness, a jolt of searing pain surged through her temples, as though a thousand tiny daggers had embedded themselves within her skull.

As her eyes trembling with fears looking around the dimmed room, she was very sure that this was totally not her room. She then shut her eyes for a second to calm her agitated heart.

The room feels so unfamiliar to her. The only light source that lit the room came from the old looking fireplace that was probably made from mud, like in some old movies. She then realised that she actually sat on a wooden bed with plant fibre on top of the structure, and it was covered with a cotton-like material at the top. At the side of the bed, there was a wooden shelf filled with miscellaneous items that she didn't really recognise, and there was also a small window near the shelf that ventilated the room.

She leaned towards the wood bedhead and began to calm down as nothing seemed to be a threat or sense any danger for the time being. She then slowly massaged her head to lessen the pain.

As time passed, Aria slowly regained her memories of last night before she ended up in this room.

"Was it because of that wished I made?"
