7 Searching For The Songs

I spent multiple hours listening to various songs that I came across in the System shop. I came back home late and even at home, I continued to look for the song that was perfect for Irina and Cecilia.

I felt responsible for what I did, and I am willing to do everything in my abilities to help them so that those two do not get affected due to my decisions.

I had come to know that the song quality level for their debut is enough to be Intermediate or Advanced. I went for Advance Quality just to be sure that the songs were good enough for their debut. I don't know how good advanced-quality songs are but I felt that it was excellent and was comparable to some of the songs sung by B and A-list Idols.

I had two songs for each of them. I selected them according to their personality though I am not sure how their fans see them. But I selected them as to what I felt could match their personality.

However, I still feel that it was missing something. Something that would shake the Idol Industry and make the audiences like Irina and Cecilia. A song, so excellent that they could easily make both of them popular.

Advanced-quality songs were not an option for that. So, I filtered and listened to the Master Class song. As for Icon, the highest quality song, I didn't have enough Appreciation Points. Each master class song costs more than 100,000 Appreciation Points.

I listened and listened. Every one of them was the best of its kind. I liked every one of them but I was still waiting for the one that could really capture my attention even among this vast amount of excellent songs.

Then it happened.

It was called "STAY" by BLACKPINK from Earth. The melody was good and most importantly, it was a group song that could be sung by Irina and Cecilia together.

"I should first arrange for them to debut together first."

I thought. If I want them to sing this together, I should first have them be on the same stage at the same time.

They had different schedules for their debut but I feel that if they do it together, it would be more impactful. Moreover, I don't need to work twice. Well, that is a secondary reason but I feel that this song could help both of them skyrocket their popularity.

Though I am not sure. I am not an experienced Idol manager and had never indulged in their business so I can't say for sure.

I was really not feeling confident about my abilities. I was sure that with this song I can convince Irina and Cecilia to debut together. But it was a different story for me to convince the upper management of the company.

I don't have any connection, knowledge, or anything that can help me to convince them. Not only that, Irina and Cecilia were getting targeted by Dreamwave Entertainment's most popular stars.

( I need to level up my skills. )

There was no other way, If I wanted to make Cecilia and Irina the best in the world, I could not lack the skills required for that.

So, I decided that I would rely on the System once more. Anyway, I had already used it for them once, so it does not hurt to use it the second time.

I jumped into the System Skill section and searched for the Idol Manager skill. And there was an Idol Manager skill with level and cost.

I was conflicted for a minute. I had two options; the Intermediate or Advanced options. Intermediate costs 10 times less than advanced skills.

If I choose an advanced option, my Appreciation Points would become almost zero. With the purchase of songs, I was left with only around 1,000,000 which is needed to buy the advanced skill.

Hesitantly, I pressed on the advanced skill of Idol Manager. I was not sure whether I could convince Dreamwave Entertainment executives with intermediate skills. Moreover, if I was to continue this job as their Idol Manager, I think that I would need this level of skill sooner or later.

If I upgrade later, I would end up wasting 100,000 Appreciation Points which is a big loss for me.

Almost instantly, all kinds of information began flooding my brain. Only a minute passed but I felt like I had lived the life of an Idol Manager and gained his experience and knowledge.

I smiled. I already got an idea about how to convince upper management to agree to my plan.

Though before then, I had spoken with Irina and Cecilia about this plan.

The next day, I went to school with Irina and Cecilia. I took this opportunity to talk about my plans.

As we walked, I started the conversation.

"Irina and Cecilia, I have a plan for your debut. I know you both have different schedules for your debut, but I think it would be more impactful if you debuted together."

Irina and Cecilia looked at each other in surprise.

"What do you mean, Alan?"

Irina asked.

"I have found a perfect duet song for both of you. It's called 'STAY'. It's a master class song, and I believe it can skyrocket your popularity."

I explained.

"You found a song for our debut?"

Cecilia asked in surprise. She should be as it had only been one day that I had said that I would get a song for them. I know that they didn't believe in me as I was not really involved in the Idol Industry and even if I was, it is not easy to get a good song.

"It better not be too bad. A good song can decide whether we will be popular or not. Anyway, what was it about us debuting together?"

Irina said. She was not very optimistic about the plan that Alan had. She didn't understand why Alan wanted to make their debut together. She thought Alan was using the song as a distraction so that he wouldn't have to work more.

Also, it was disadvantageous for them to debut together as the popularity that they get would be distributed between the two of them. They were also not Idols that worked together which means that she and Cecilia might not be able to cooperate well.

There was also a chance that if they debuted together, she and Cecilia would be seen as an Idol group and they could get fewer solo opportunities in the future. These were some of the reasons that made them not very optimistic about my idea.

I knew their concerns well. With the Advanced Manager Skills that I have got, I already know such things. However, I prefer to believe that the pros of debuting together would be much more than debuting solo especially when I have a master class song like 'STAY'.

"Just listen to the song and decide whether it is worth it or not."

I said. I know that they would understand my intention if they were to know the song that would make this debut a massive success.

I sang, though not very well. It was a girl's song. However, I was not that bad at singing. When I was a kid, I had a Beginner Skill for singing. It might not be comparable to Irina and Cecilia but I had better singing ability than most people.

"So, how was it?"

I asked as I glanced at their faces to know their reaction.

Cecilia looked surprised. She must not have expected that I could sing well. Well, it could also be because of the song. Anyway, it was a good reaction.

Irina must also be shocked by the song. This song was after all master class, and it was not something that they could get their hands on. Even that songwriter from Dreamwave Entertainment could at most write a decent intermediate or maybe some advanced song but I don't think he could have created a master-class song in his lifetime.

"Where? Where did you get this song?"

"Who is the songwriter? Does he work for Dreamwave Entertainment? No, I don't think anyone from our company would help us."

Irina and Cecilia asked the question simultaneously. I tried to calm them down which they did after knowing how they were acting, especially Cecilia who acted too close to Alan.

"So, what to think about my plan?"

I asked again.

Irina and Cecilia looked at each other and smiled.

"Alright! Let's follow your plan!"
