V.1-C.48│Sky-Seed I│

The Shrine in the Depths.

An ancient Sith shrine situated at a Force vergence on the planet Coruscant, constructed before the rise of the modern Galactic Republic. However, the residual power of the dark side inherent in the shrine seeped out over the intervening millennia, weakening the precognitive abilities of the Order.

This weakening would result in the Supreme Chancellor otherwise known as Darth Sidious to rule supreme.

The Sith constructed the shrine on the planet Coruscant on top of a sacred spire, a powerful light side vergence, hoping to corrupt it with the dark side of the Force, which eventually succeeded.

The enormous black edifice stood against the Coruscant sky as a symbol of Sith dominance until it was razed by the Jedi at the end of a great war.

In a symbolic attempt to bury the legacy of the Sith that had been left behind on the galactic capital, following the Sith Order's defeat, eventually the Four Masters erected the Jedi Temple over the shrines foundations.

That was until Anakin Skywalker, the prophesized chosen one had secretly been hard at work uncovering the shrine, looking for information about the techniques available to someone practicing the dark side of the Force.

Anakin, along with some droids, the droids that had flown under the radar as just some simple training droids meant to help him were now accompanying Anakin into the depths.

These droids were not living and did not have access to the Force, but were good enough to help him in this venture.

Symbols covered the walls, a deep dark red hue illuminated the shrine centered at the middle along with nothing sitting in its place but a simple looking holocron. Broken pillars that were quite high up off the ground were just about ready to crumble.

'What is this?' Anakin knew that coming down here the energies of the dark side would be prominent and was most certainly going to find only the shrine.

It would seem he was incorrect, as there was something conveniently placed right at the center. A pyramid shaped object that gave off a red light of its own.

'A Sith holocron located beneath, that shouldn't be be.' Anakin thought to himself then commanded his droids. "Spread throughout the area and make sure to check for other corridors that may lead to other areas. Do not enter them just yet and be alert just in case."

The various droids fanned outwards and helped to secure the area.

Moving towards the shrine, Anakin walks up while feeling his own connection to the Force surge. Controlling the energies here is hard because it is a convergence point that was corrupted.

If it was originally of the dark, Anakin would not having any problems but because it was of the light and then corrupted it was especially malicious.

Walking up the steps getting closer and closer Anakin feels his natural instincts tell him to not go towards the Sith holocron.

Why? Because of the inherit darkness that lay within.

The droids had now safely assumed their positions reporting that there was no other corridors or hallways connecting to a larger infrastructure. Only the entrance created by Anakin leading towards the shrine that is contained within a large room.

No hesitation could be seen on Anakin's face as he advanced towards the unknown.

'Yes, yes, yes.' Anakin could start to hear voices.

Voices of a time long past trying so desperately to be heard. The cries and distant surges of angry screams kept tearing through his mind but his mental shields helped prevent any further damage once he caught on to the mental manipulation being down.

'Come to me, come to me.' A disembodied voice speaks to him telepathically.

Anakin keeps getting closer. 'Closer, yes, closer still.'

'Power, unfathomable power. None the likes of what you have seen!' The disembodied voice continues trying to agitate Anakin. 'Take it, it is your destiny to become so much more. SO MUCH MORE!'

'Peace is a lie, there is only passion. Through passion, I gain strength. Through strength, I gain power. Through power, I gain victory. Through victory, my chains are broken. The Force shall free me.' The voice started to chant over and over overlapping many times.

'The tenets of the Sith are more than just words to be memorized. Learn them, understand them. They will lead you to the true power of the Force; the power of the dark side.'

'Conflict forces one to better oneself. It forces change, growth, adaption, evolution… or death.'

'It is our goal to be stronger, to achieve our potential and not rest upon our laurels. We are the seekers, not the shepherds.'

'Without strife, the victory has no meaning. Without strife, one does not advance. Without strife, there is only stagnation.'

'Unless the victory is achieved by demonstrating that your power is superior, it is only an illusion. Temporary at best. We seek more.'

'One who has freed themselves from all restrictions has reached perfection… their potential fulfilled. Perfect strength, perfect power, perfect destiny.'

'The Force is our servant and our master. Our teacher and our companion. A weapon and a tool. Know it and you know the universe. Master it and you master the universe. Strive for perfection and the Force shall reward you.'

The same disembodied voice kept repeating all of these words, the chant of the Sith code and so much more, all overlapping creating a dissonant effect.

Anakin as if immune to the headache the voice was trying to create continued his jaunt up the steps of the alter.

Upon reaching the top, the voice stops its insistent and annoying mad rambling.

The top of the alter, the shrine, was huge enough to fit a few of himself and it formed a circular pattern alternating along the edges.

Anakin got closer to the middle as an uneasy silence had now filled the room and reached down to pick up the Sith holocron placed at the center.

Immediately after Anakin was assaulted with visions that disoriented him a bit before he regained control of his mind.

The vision entails a conversation between two people. "Why did you have to try and search for that?" A female voice said.

"What, did you not believe I could achieve what I was looking for? Perfection. Absolute perfection in human form, a result of the Sith abilities within the dark side." The masculine voice said.

"Perfection? What you are trying to create are nothing but monsters." The feminine voice then continued. "I dont think you understand the scale of your operation just yet. The things these beings would be capable of would cause destruction of untold scale."

"A paltry price, that I am willing to pay." The male continued. "For all shall know me, or of me within the future to come. My legacy shall be spread throughout the galaxy."

"It is wrong of you to try something like this, dangerous and quite possibly will turn against you in the end. No matter what you do, it would inevitably come back to bite you in the ass."

"Rubbish. Do you think the Jedi are strong enough to topple me? The dark side of the Force is much more powerful."

"Your arrogance will be your downfall."

"Enough of this, I need to get back to creating my masterpiece. You shall see, in the future I will be known, I will be feared, my very name echoed across time and space."

Nearing the end now of the flashback the male figure finished off. "All shall know me, for I am Terra Astartes."

There was not much to be found underneath but there was a special holocron with information pertaining to the manipulation of the body. An ancient Sith had left their knowledge behind inside this holocron but unfortunately it was incomplete.

Strangely enough it was not a standard holocron that would have a being be imprinted onto the artifact but was only a list of things pertaining to the manipulation of the human form.

Incomplete as they may be, but was intriguing nonetheless. The creation of a specialized system to create human super soldiers.

The creation germ cells and viral machines that have been genetically-engineered to develop into the various organs that are implanted into a normal Human adolescent male to transform him into a transhuman being.

Developed during an era now bygone, this would be the start of a project that Anakin would use to his advantage. He could also see some similarities over what this could do and what the other genetic manipulations from others has done.

The difference being this one was more successful, but incomplete and not as perfect as the male figure had wanted it to be.

Anakin had secured the temple underneath by leaving behind some of his droids to cover the entrance as no doubt people within the temple would be interested in this.

Interested in trying to destroy it that is.

It wouldn't matter to him either way, he had come to study and discover if there was anything left behind by the ancient Sith.

He had gotten what he had wanted.

A vergence in the Force was located here and could be used to his advantage.

A vergence, or nexus point, was a phenomenon of the Force that was centered around a place or object; and in rare instances around an individual. A vergence was a place in the galaxy where the Force flowed the most freely, in a concentrated wellspring of energy that could be more easily harnessed by those sensitive to its power.

He of course could count himself as one as well, no doubt others within the Order would agree and at the top of that list would be Qui-Gon.

Vergences are locations within the galaxy where the Force is heavily concentrated around places, objects, or individuals and easily manipulated by Forceful beings.

The Jedi Order created many theories on how vergences were created and why, but all theories put forward showed great flaws. Vergences could appear anywhere in the galaxy and varied in size, from entire planets to a single room.

Many vergences in the Force appeared at locations with a strong history of its presence, where Force users gathered, or great tragedies occurred. The laws of time and space did not confine a vergence, as they could exist outside it. Vergences could exist for a single moment in history, or be maintained for millennia. They could grow and expand, or diminish completely.

Not all vergences were the same; some encouraged certain abilities, such as giving visitors visions, or strengthening psychokinetic ability.

Both the Jedi Order and the Sith sought out these vergences and used them for their individual purposes.

These groups often built temples around or over top of a nexus, or used the vergence as a talisman if it was centered around an object. Legends and prophecies spoke of vergences forming around individuals, a rare occurrence that had not been studied well by either order.

With Anakin he had become sort of a subject to be studied himself. He did not totally dislike the way that sometimes he was treated but that does not mean he liked it either.

When it came to Coruscant and the shrine underneath, that Sith holocron had been at the center of such a vergence and had become imbued with the energies of the Force.

This is likely why Anakin had experienced such weird happenings and events upon arrival and ascension upon the alter.

The holocron he now has possession over would be called a talisman.

Objects left in the presence of a Force nexus for extended amounts of time eventually became saturated with the Force, which imbued the object with special abilities.

Examples including a blade-edge that will never dull, the ability to absorb certain Force powers like Force lightning and electric judgment, or even the ability to enhance the wielder's perception of time, allowing him to think and react faster than otherwise possible.

This effect allowed even a being who wasn't Force-sensitive to use the talisman to a great degree.

Moreover, objects imbued with a particular aspect of the Force be it light or dark could actually become so saturated as to make their very presence intolerable to those of opposite alignment.

Now that Anakin had come into possession of such an object, he could feel the corrupting energies of the dark side and it was true that he would have felt repulsion if he was only in line with the light.

Its energies radiated darkness not only because of the original creator being a Sith, but the location of interest as well.

'I am excited to find out the uses of this object as there should be much more to this holocron other then the information stored within.'

Other then Anakin being a vergence within the Force himself there was another that existed long ago, that took place during the Mandalorian wars around 4000 years prior to now. Her name being Meetra Surik.

'But I think that is enough of a history lesson for now, I should really start delving into the knowledge that is within my grasp.'

Certain creative liberties have been taken in regard to the Force Dyad, it wont just be Aayla. Maybe I should have worded the last chapter better as well, Aayla doesn't really know anything at this point...

There is a reason why Anakin is the 'Chosen One' after all...
