We Can Rebuild Him

Khan, Belia, and Natasha worked to map out the genomes of the Cereans and the Rattataki. Everything that made these two species what they are was laid out before their eyes.

He found the reason the Cereans had such a large female population. The females released an enzyme that had a 90% chance to turn the fetus female in the womb. This is a natural form of evolution based on the fact the females lived longer than males.

Eventually, this would become an all-female species. They either found a way to reproduce or their species would die out.

They also had reproductive isolation based on the races he had at hand due to this enzyme. It's produced from their brains and flow throughout their entire body. Males produce it as well, it's what causes them to age twice as fast.

After a day had passed, the Crowns hatched into ring-sized creatures. He recorded the data when they hatched and dominated a few of their minds through the force.

Their bodies act on instincts so they had no real memories. He had to plant memories into their mind and wait to see if they could retain them.

He had Belia feel them through the force the entire time. Not wanting to miss any change.

The droids also finished manufacturing the synthetic brain for him. He brought Natasha to help him transplant the new brain.

First, he removed the cybernetics from his head and opened his skullcap. After attaching probes to his brain, he started transferring memories from his flesh brain to his new one.

While everything was uploading, he machined a new eye with cybernetics far more advanced than before. He also instructed Natasha as she sliced open every part of his body. She weaved the cybernetic implants throughout his muscles just like the ones in her body. They also installed a few useful gadgets.

When the transfer was done, they removed his brain and destroyed it. Installed the new synthetic one and closed him back up.

After using Mechu-deru to ensure loyalty, they dropped him in the Kolto tank.

On the second day, the Crowns reached full size. After placing them on the Cereans' heads again, they absorbed more energy and turned back into eggs.

This time, with Belia's help he knew exactly what happened. The Crowns created an embryo in its body that had no life. Not until it moved its midi-chlorians inside and took over the embryo.

The Crown is basically cloning itself and transferring its essence into a new body. It's so simple because the Crown doesn't have a complicated body and requires little energy.

If he wanted to use this technique, he'd need to drain far more force energy.

After finding out the secret, he knew he lacked knowledge in the force to continue studying them.

Knowing this, he moved on and started creating a special helmet. One not meant for war, but games.

Belia was confused at his so-called game, so she went to the training room. Natasha stayed with Khan and helped him, thinking it was part of her training.

As part machine, what she needs is not extensive lightsaber combat training, but the development of her personality and emotions.

On the third day, they finished their helmet.

"Master, what's the use of this thing? It's nothing more than a signal transceiver?" Natasha held the Helmet and looked at Khan.

"That's exactly what it is. If I put this on I can play the game called Lon Alder." Khan pointed towards the man in the tank.

Natasha looked at the helmet in her hand and turned towards the man behind her. "Can this helmet be used to control me as well?"

"You haven't installed the necessary equipment." Khan shook his head.

Natasha smiled slightly, feeling slight joy to hear her master considered her more than just a toy to play with.

Habitat walked into the lab at that exact moment. "Khan, the meditation chambers in your rooms and training ground have been finished. I also took the liberty to make your throne in the bridge out of crystal as well."

"It's done already?" Khan raised his brow in surprise.

"Yes, I've also worked out the plans to revamp the weapons and power system. Power generation will be increased by 460% and weapon strength will triple."

"You can start revamping the weapons systems first, we can't go without power for now."

"Even if I finish the weapons, without more power they're useless." Habitat reminded him out of courtesy.

"It's fine." Khan waved his hand.

"Also, the Rattataki are abusing the Cereans on the second floor, even if they're outnumbered. The men have taken multiple women as slaves and the few men have been beaten and driven into a single room."

Khan raised his brows in surprise. He didn't expect the Cereans to be so weak. "And what about the Rattataki women?"

"Sheva has taken all twelve on as handmaidens. She also trains the twenty Rattataki after she comes back from the training room every day. She wants them to be a valuable fighting force for you."

Khan fell into thought. "Manufacture the Predator armor series for them, see if the kasha crystals can be used to up the power supply and shield stability."

"It will take two days, but no problem." Habitat started production in the factory as she spoke.

"Inform Sheva to meet me in the training hall." Khan took Natasha and moved towards the elevator.

When they arrived at the first deck training hall area, Sheva was already there. "Master!"

She called out respectfully, her eyes glancing at Natasha as she did.

"Apprentice, this is my Acolyte." Khan glanced at Natasha before moving into the new training room.

Sheva didn't react to Natasha's title, she was there when this girl was created. She knew this girl could be considered her mother.

The two of them followed Khan inside and immediately felt different. The walls, roof, and floor were covered in yellow-orange crystals. The runes carved into them gave them enhanced power.

Khan walked to the center of the room and sat on his heels. "Sit, both of you."

The girls came in and sat with their legs crossed.

"Peace is a lie, there is only passion. That's the first line of the Sith code, but that is not our code." His eyes scanned the two girls, their faces relaxed and their minds were open.

"There is no peace in Life.

There is no grace in Death.

There is no peak in Knowledge

There is no limit in Power.

There is no end, only Eternity."

Khan recited his code in one breath. "As long as you live, there will always be ants crawling at your feet, gathering together to bring you down."

For the next three days, he taught them about the dark side and his views of the force.

When Khan left the room, they were still meditating with their eyes closed. He left the first deck and went back to the lab. He grabbed the helmet and went to his room. In his meditation chamber, he sat with his legs crossed and put on the helmet.

Back in the lab, Lon opened his eyes. He took off the respirator and climbed out of the tank.

He jumped to the ground and landed gracefully. "Cybernetics are fully functional." He gripped his hands a few times and smiled. He's not going to risk increasing the power before his body can adapt.

He moved towards the clothes this body wore when he arrived and put them on. When he walked to the elevator it didn't open right away, leaving him momentarily stunned.

"Habitat, open the elevator."

The elevator opened and revealed Habitat inside. "I didn't know if you were testing me. It goes against protocol to give access to unauthorized personnel. At the same time, I knew it was you controlling the body. Oh, how hard it is to be me."

Lon stood next to her in the elevator. "Lon's mind is still active, I'm just controlling his body. He still has all his memories and can be considered the same person, he just works for me now in both body and mind."

"That sounds quite." She paused. "Efficient."

"My real body can meditate on the force while my distracting thoughts control this body. When I'm not controlling this body, he can act on his own and complete my task." Lon nodded in agreement.

They arrived at the first deck and Habitat walked him to his ship. "Are you going to take any droids with you?"

"No, I plan on joining the Republic military. Make sure you follow me in stealth."

"I put a satellite you can drop off in the next system." She watched Lon get on the ship.

He walked to the cockpit and started flipping switches from memory. The ship shook when it started up, showing that it wasn't in the best condition.

Even so, it successfully flew out of the hangar. Not long after he did, the entire Prometheus disappeared.

He could still feel a connection to it through the quantum computer in his brain. He also knew Habitat could see everything he could.

"It feels strange, I've never gotten to do this." He rapidly punched in a few keys on the navi computer. "Jumping to hyperspace!"

He pushed the lever forward and the ship transformed into a beam of light and disappeared.
