『Sharad Hett』

Ento proceeded down the steps into the subterranean place that he once called home with his family, his mother and his father. Yet he didn't feel that he had time nor reason to mourn.

The way they lived, the way they raised him. Ento saw life and death as one in the same, if you cannot fight for your life, then you will die. It didn't mean failure, though it was a great loss, it should be celebrated rather than mourned. The boy was desensitized to the struggle of life and death.

He crept through the dark, Padmé right behind him. Both of them had their blaster pistols drawn from their clothes. His only goal right now was to acquire his parent's things, mostly their wealth they had hidden here as well as access to their interplanetary accounts.

However there was one other thing he wanted to acquire, his father's lightsabers.

Reaching the bottom of the steps, he glanced behind himself. He could feel a disturbance in the force, but it wasn't the same shadow as before. There was someone else watching them with ambiguous intent, as if they were trying to decide what to do with them.

Squinting his eyes slightly, the boy continued into the courtyard. His eyes resting on the corpse of his mother who was strung up against the moisture vaporator in its center. It was a relatively simple device used to harvest water from the planet's humidity. It was his parents primary income alongside other commodities grown in the underground plant farms.

Ento had a long drawn out sigh seeing her lifeless shriveled eyes staring toward his general direction, though truly at the entrance.

Padmé gasped, covering her mouth the moment she noticed the cadaver before pinching her nose between her forefinger and thumb. It smelled.

The young teen seemed to dismiss the smell and made his way towards one of the multiple openings leading to another part of the farm. Entering the corridor leading to the various quarters here, Ento walked into the master bedroom, using the force to knock the door inward.

The Queen stared at the damage he had done in a matter of seconds, it was hard to believe that he wanted to be trained as a Jedi when he could already do so much! The two of them said nothing as they took their first steps into his parent's quarters.

"Are you sure you want to go through your parent's things?"

Ento looked to Padmé when she spoke, she seemed concerned for him, and even the dead.

"They won't be needing it anymore. Besides..." His eyes narrowed ahead of him towards the trashed holographic frame on the wall. "There's things here I need to take before anyone else can take them."

Walking towards the frame on the wall, Ento used the force to pull it off from a short distance, tossing it onto the King Size bed. There was a hidden safe built into the wall, in a very cliché manner.

As he walked up to it, he waved his hand over the lock. As if by magic, the locking mechanism became undone and it popped open with a distinctive click.

Reaching into the safe, Ento pulled out a sleek ovular black phrik-composite lightsaber with leather wrap around the hilt. There was a phrik-cortosis circular hand guard just below the oddly narrow rectangular mouth that the blade emitted from.

The mouth of the weapon could be considered abnormal, mostly because it wasn't a circle. Unlike the hilt's rounded edges, the mouth was sharp. It was reminiscent of a Samurai's Sword's hilt, a Katana.

"My father's saber... So this is where he put it." Looking over the weapon, he could feel the force within its very focusing crystal. Holding it out in front of him, Ento activated the weapon.

A perma-frost blade emitted from the hilt with a quickened TSH sound, revealing a very pale blue hue that decorated the dimly lit room. The saber's containment field compressed the plasma into a thin single straight edged blade with an emphasis on focused cutting power that looked to be that resembled an ancient Jedi's Force Imbued Sword.

Its presence alone made his parent's quarters drop in temperature by several degrees. If anything, it made it room temperature.

"Whoa..." Padmé mesmerized by the blade, made her way over to his side, being greeted by its cooling powers. "This was your fathers?"

There was even cold air emanating from the blade itself, visible frost expelling from the hilt.

"Yes," Ento was still looking over the weapon before deactivating it with a sudden ZzzT.

Ento tucked the weapon into his sleeve, in case he ever needed it during their duration on Tatooine. He then turned to the bed and called the pillows to his hands.

Blinking a few times, Padmé watched as he pulled the cases from the fluffy pillows, and started just shoving the contents of his father's safe into them. Huttese coins into one bag, personal effects into the other.

With the Huttese Currency pillow case, turned makeshift bag, is tossed onto the bed. Ento paused for a moment and turned his head towards the doorway. "Someone's here..." He spoke in a low whisper as to duck down slowly.

Padmé quickly turned towards the door, sturdily aiming the blaster in her hand towards the door. "Who is it?"

Pursing his lips, he could tell that they weren't some random Sand Person. It wasn't a bandit either, at least not one that he could sense very well. They were a force user, hiding their own sensitivity to avoid being detected.

That was when a lightsaber blade emitted in the doorway, it was blaring red. "Padmé back off," he aimed his own blaster pistol towards the entity blocking their escape.

Seeing the blade rushing towards him, Ento intentionally fell backward, dodging a slash for his neck. Then he used the force to propel himself across the floor, narrowly avoiding a stomp to the chest. "Oof!" He groaned as he quickly got up, he wasn't going to use his blaster in this short of a range. Not against someone who seemed skilled in not only the force, but also a lightsaber.

Padmé Moved to the corner of the room, taking cover behind the bed, her pistol hand at the ready. Yet she didn't fire as she watched Ento toss his pistol aside and draw his father's lightsaber to his hand.

"Get out of my house!" Ento snapped as he flicked on his father's weapon, holding it out from his side. He wasn't trained in the use of a lightsaber, but he had used a metal pipe against a bunch of thieves.

"Your house...?" A voice seemed to erupt from beneath a mask he couldn't see.

Narrowing his eyes, he watched as a man dressed in a Raider under a blue robe tunic. "...A Tusken raider that speaks Basic?" Ento pursed his lips, his eyes darting to the red blade, then back towards the being ahead of him. "Who are you?"

"Sharad Hett," the being spoke and pointed the red saber towards the boy. "Who are you?"

"Ento, Ento Rhade," the boy pointed his own weapon towards Hett, a visible frown over his lips. "Why are you in my home?" His eyes flickered to the weapon again, "And why do you have a lightsaber."

"Rhade... So you are his boy." Hett deactivated his lightsaber and sighed. "I'm a friend of your fathers, a former Jedi." He reached up and removed his helmet, revealing his pale face and bald head. He had very sharp features, and was probably middle aged.

"Why have I never seen you before?"

"If I was seen around your settlement, it would be unlikely you'd be safe... Not... Not that it says much now," Hett looked over the wrecked residence.

"Mmm.." Ento rolled his eyes lightly before looking towards the exit to the room. "We're giving this place to Watto of Mos Espa. And I'm leaving to Coruscant to become a Jedi."

Blinking at the words that the boy declared, he nodded, compressing his lips together. "Sounds like a noble goal." His eyes moved to his friend's lightsaber which was now in Ento's hands. "How're you getting offworld?" His eyes flickered over towards the girl behind the bed.

Padmé put her hand up, before holstering her weapon and standing from behind the bed.

"Her ship is damaged, and some tuskens attacked it last night. We're currently getting currency to pay for parts," Ento rubbed his middle finger against his thumb to signify money.

"Explains things," Hett scoffed a bit as he holstered his weapon on his hip.

"Oh?" Ento shifted his weight to one side, placing his free left hand on his hip. "Whatever..." He waved his hand in dismissal as if not wanting to know, just as Hett was going to speak. "I don't want to know."

Hett chuckled at this and pitched his head, looking down at the boy. "Your lucky to have survived all those days ago. Don't get yourself killed... Alright, kid?" The tough man began to walk out of the room, casually putting his Raider helmet back on.

Padmé blinked seeing that the man left without a continued problem. "Who...?"

"Apparently a former Jedi," Ento shrugged and walked towards the door, watching as the guised Raider jumped to the surface from the subterranean courtyard at the end of the hall. "Definitely Jedi."

"Well, before anymore surprises happen, I think we should hurry up and take what's needed and leave." Padmé picked up the case filled with hutt coinage and made her way out of the room.

Ento on the other hand picked up the other pillowcase, and headed to his bedroom.

Entering the room, he went through his drawers and started taking several changes of clothes. He then approached his closet, opening the door and taking a large backpack, stuffing the contents from the case into it.

Once he secured the pack and swung it over his shoulder, the boy went back to his parents room and took his father's signet ring from his mother's jewelry box, along with their black and silver duraplast wedding bands.

By the time he emerged from the bedroom, he had changed his attire. a white Hapan tunic, black trousers and black shin-high boots, along with a pair of black rancor hide fingerless gloves. Again his father's lightsaber concealed into his sleeve.

The tunic had visible patches of padding on the shoulders and elbows, while the trousers had the same on the knees. The padding was white in a neutral grey in color.

"You look... Much better," Padmé gave a weak laugh, seeing him a bit more well dressed.

"Thanks?" Ento padded through the courtyard and into the kitchen which was completely ransacked. The refrigerator was completely destroyed, its interior technology gutted, leaving it as just an empty husk.

"Hm..." Ento then walked out of the kitchen, while Padmé remained standing by the stairway in the shade. The boy didn't hesitate to go into the subterranean farm. There were some plants that were still alive, as they were built to survive in such an environment.

Checking the hydroponic gardens, he picked several ripe Bloddie and Pallies.

Pallies were sweet fruits which were often sold to the people in Mos Espa by the old woman named Jira. Whenever they grew in excess, his parents always gave them to her to sell.

They were popular amongst children.

Bloddie on the other hand was a tasty layered vegetable with a yellow skin with brown ends, its inner flesh was very tender; it was often used for the enhancement of flavor in some recipes.

In total he got around ten Bloddie and four Pallies. Stuffing them into the backpack, he picked the last Pika fruit from the Oases-Emulation Hydroponics Bay on the far side of the farm.

Pikas were bright blue melon-patterned fruits often used to make alcoholic beverages. These particular fruits were sweet and often sought after by the Sand People.

Once he was finished scavenging anything left they could take along with them, the two returned to the landspeeder on the surface.

"Did we get everything?" Padmé inquired, looking him over as she put the huttese currency in the speeder's storage compartment.

Ento placed the pack into the storage as well and nodded, biting into the sweet Pika fruit he had taken. "Want to try some?" He asked holding it out for her to take.

Padmé looked at him for a moment before nodding, reaching out and taking the bright blue melon-patterned fruit. She bit into it, tasting its sweet flesh and giggled. "It's pretty good."

Nodding in agreement, he climbed into the driver's seat before helping her up into the passenger side. "Let's meet them back at the ship." Ento turned his gaze towards the tip of the vaporator that could be seen poking out from the courtyard.

Padmé frowned seeing him stare, before lightly placing a comforting hand on his shoulder.
