Episode 3: Nightfall

Ahsoka is full of rage, anger, resentment, and frustration. She stares Maul down and paces around three feet to the left and another three feet to the right. Maul looks at her from the distance with intrigue and responds, "You know this had to happen. We have done the galaxy a great favor and saved many lives. My vision is almost complete, but we must kill Sidious next."

Ahsoka: "Shut up! You are a monster, I never should have trusted you. Anakin was my best friend and closest mentor. Now, I will avenge his death." Ahsoka twirls her lightsabers around as she prepares to pounce on Maul.

Maul: "Oh, little Tano. It seems the Padawan needs one final lesson." Maul extends his hand and ignites both sides of his double-bladed lightsaber. Ahsoka rages at Maul and lunges towards him with a leaping double-bladed vertical attack. Maul blocks the attack and uses his strength to send Ashoka flying 5 feet back. Ahsoka uses her coordination to land on her feet.

Ahsoka then dives at Maul again, this time jumping a few feet left of Maul. Then she thrusts forward with a diagonal dash attack using her right saber. Maul pivots his staff left and blocks the attack. Maul then rotates his lightsaber and counters with a horizontal swing just below Ashoka's lightsabers. Ashoka flips behind Maul, avoiding the attack.

Ashoka then counters with a horizontal strike with her right saber. Maul adjusts his staff with a vertical motion and blocks the attack. Then Maul twirls his saber with a wide horizontal counter aimed at the center of Ahsoka's body. Ahsoka rolls to the right, avoiding the attack.

Then she springs back to her feet and dives at Maul with a horizontal attack. Swinging her left and right lightsabers toward Maul's stomach. Maul swiftly vertically spins his staff and blocks both strikes. Then Maul kicks Ahsoka in the face. Ahsoka stumbles back 3 feet and then gets back up.

Maul: "Give up, this is futile. You are no match for my skills." Ahsoka screams in contempt as she balefully charges at him again. Ahsoka erratically swings at Maul from right to left with tremendous speed. Maul uses all his concentration to shift his staff left to right, blocking each blow. However, he is not fatigued since he is the physically stronger of the two.

Maul also knows that he cannot hold back too much because he has no time to waste with Ahsoka. Both of them are still at great risk. However, Maul would still prefer to not kill her because she is a useful ally against Sidious. Maul swats Ahsoka's right lightsaber out of her hand. Then a determined Ahsoka jumps forward and kicks Maul in his stomach. Sending him rolling back 4 feet. Maul gets back up and reignites his saber staff, while Ahsoka charges at him and force pulls her right lightsaber back in her hand.

Ahsoka presses Maul again with five rapid strikes. Maul backpedals as he blocks several quick blows. Ahsoka then notices an opening in Maul's defense and she hops forward with a spinning diagonal strike. Maul notices this and swerves just left of the attack.

While holding his staff in his right hand, Maul snatches Ahsoka's right hand with his left hand. Ahsoka kicks Maul in his metal groin, which doesn't hurt him but causes him to stumble a couple of feet backward. Ahsoka then swings at Maul with two swift diagonal blows and Maul blocks them both. Ashoka then horizontally swings both her sabers at Maul's neck.

Maul ducks his head, avoiding the attack. Then Maul launches his hand out towards Ahsoka and sharply presses his hands down on her throat with force grip. Ahsoka starts coughing as Maul raises her 5 feet in the air. Maul then uses the force to cause to deactivate both of Ahsoka's lightsabers and cause her to drop them. Ahsoka: "No!"

Maul: "And now, you have learned your lesson. My apprentice."

Ahsoka roars, "Raahahhahahahah!" Maul then flings Ahsoka's body into a jedi temple column. A loud thud is heard as her head bashes against the column. Then her body falls into the hard floor. Maul uses the force to retrieve her lightsabers and runs up to her unconscious body. Maul puts Ahsoka's sabers back into her belt, thinking that she will need them later.

Then Maul gets ready to pick Ahsoka's body up when he notices two jedi charge into the room. It is none other than Vulkra and Garius. The two jedi that Maul just met earlier. Maul then proudly looks back at the jedi.

Maul: "You're too late. I have already accomplished my goal. Fortunately for you, that goal benefits you. So I would suggest that you run along now, I do not need your assistance."

Vulkra points her purple lightsaber at Maul and retorts, "You have no authority over us Sith. I will not allow you to leave this temple."

Maul then puts his right finger on his chin and asks, "Where is your other lackey?"

Garius responds, "That's none of your business, darksider."

Maul: "Hmmm, I sense, that she is dead. Fallen to clones. Do you really think you are a match for me when you struggle against such feeble opposition?"

Vulkra: "You sith are all talk, let's see what you're really made of."

Maul: "I can see that you Jedi fools are so bent on your own demise. Very well, I will give you just what you ask for."

Then suddenly a loud explosion occurs and the three windows behind Maul are blasted open. Three clone jet troopers soar into the chamber about 10 feet behind Maul and are about 15 feet in the air. On the distant left and right sides of the chamber, three clone troopers with blaster carbines emerge, ready to flank the jedi.

Maul decides to keep Ahsoka on his back so that he can quickly escape. However, he cannot practically use his entire saber staff in this manner. To fix this, he deactivates his lower lightsaber blade and only uses one end for now. The jet trooper in the middle aims at Maul and presses his trigger. Maul immediately reflects the blue shot right back into his jetpack. The clone goes flying into the wall behind him and a distant explosion ensues.

The other two jet troopers fly towards Maul, as he suddenly decides to sprint to the right door/exit. Vulkra is about to pursue him when the jet trooper on the left flank suddenly rushes her and opens fire. Vulkra deflects the shots from the trooper. The three clones from the left flank then move in and shoot at the green Twilek Jedi Garius.

Garius swats two incoming blaster shots back at the clones and one shot hits the one on the right in his chest. Garius deflects another shot that flies into the central clone's chest. Vulkra decides to pursue Maul again and the jet trooper shoots at her back. Vulkra holds her lightsaber behind her and reflects the shot back into the jet trooper, sending his body tumbling down.

As this is happening, Maul uses force grip to send the clone jet trooper on the right flying like a missile into the three clones on the right flank. The jet trooper explodes, killing the entire team in an instant. Vulkra uses force speed to quickly close the distance behind Maul. Maul effortlessly points his left hand at her just as he is nearing the right exit and sends Vulkra sliding 7 feet back.

Garius deflects another shot which dispatches the last clone on the left flank and then he turns to see Vulkra on the ground. Garius: "Vulkra! Are you alright?" Vulkra gets back on her feet and reignites her violet lightsaber.

Vulkra: "I am fine Garius, thanks for asking."

Garius: "Maul got away, should we pursue him or leave from the left entrance?"

Vulkra: "We are jedi, not cowards. We will keep up behind him. Besides, if he runs into clones, then he will likely clear much of the path of any clone obstacles we may encounter. If he runs into jedi, then we will at least have more help against him."

Garius: "What about Ahsoka?"

Vulkra: "I don't know. But for now, she cannot be trusted. Be prepared to kill her. We cannot risk allowing another traitor to fall to the darkside."

Fatal Alliance

Maul sprints down a temple hallway. Though he physically does not know which way to go, he lets the dark side of the force guide him. Looking for the fastest route to a temple landing platform. It does not matter which one he goes to because he has a handheld communicator that comes with a tracker. It will allow his gunship to find him and pick him up for extraction.

As Maul sprints, he notices three clones with blaster carbines firing at one Jedi knight with two green lightsabers. The Jedi is none other than Serra Keto, Cin Drallig's former apprentice. Two clones open fire at her and Serra deflects two of the blaster shots back into the two of the clones. The last clone fires a flurry of three shots at Serra and Serra elegantly jumps beside the clone. Then Serra horizontally slices the clone in two.

Serra is more agile than even Ahsoka, like a Jedi equivalent of the Sith assassin Ventress. Except her saber dueling style is far more refined and sharp. Serra also has better composure than Ventress. However, she lacks the brute force/unpredictability, offense, and physical strength of Ventress. Maul knew Serra is too wise to not notice him so, he decides to make the first statement. Maul: "Such elegance, not typical of a Jedi."

Serra: "Maul, is it? Didn't Kenobi slice you in half?"

Maul: "You would be wise to save your taunts for a battle you can win. I am not interested in YOU at this moment. I just want to leave."

Serra: "WHY are you even here? And you know better than to think that I would let you leave alive."

Maul: "Search your feelings, there is still a greater threat left. It was I, who killed Anakin. The same traitor who viciously murdered your master." Serra senses that there is actually some truth to what Maul is saying.

She then thinks "no, Maul is a liar and he is trying to deceive me. I'd be a fool to trust him or to let him leave here alive." Then Serra responds: "Why is Ahsoka on your back?"

Maul: "She decided to help me capture Anakin. However, she was fueled with the dark side when she realized that I killed him. I had to subdue her, but we can worry about rehabilitating her later."

Serra shakes her head and then says, "I don't believe you. Ahsoka would never agree to track down Anakin. Nice try Sith!" Serra then gets in her battle stance.

Maul: "A pity, you may have been a useful ally." Though Maul says this, he still does not intend to get in a prolonged fight. Maul dashes forward and Serra does the same with a quick lunge attack using both of her lightsabers. Maul tilts his lightsaber sideways, blocking the blow. Maul then tries to counter Serra with a kick to the stomach, but she is too fast. Serra weaves to the left and horizontally swings at Maul, but Maul jumps backwards avoiding the attack.

Maul then runs towards the left door exit, then Serra leaps in front of it. Serra: "If you're so powerful, then why are you running?"

Maul sighs, "You leave me no choice." Maul then tosses Ahsoka aside and activates both of his blades. Serra then uses a beckoning sign to invite Maul's attack. Maul thrusts forward with a spinning horizontal strike. Serra blocks the attack then breaks the saber lock by pushing Maul's staff back. Serra vertically swings her right saber just left of Maul's head and Maul uses force speed to bob his body left.

Serra presses forward again and swings her left saber at Maul's right side. Maul shifts his staff to the right, blocking the attack. Then Serra spins towards Maul and vertically swings her left saber towards Maul's left side. Maul rotates his lightsaber and blocks that attack, putting the two of them in a saber lock. Maul uses his strength to toss both of Serra's sabers out of her hands (in the right direction).

Maul then dives towards Serra and she grabs onto his left hand with her left hand. She also grabs Maul's staff with her right hand. Then Maul headbutt's Serra (with his forehead, not his horns), knocking her to the ground. Serra gets a nose bleed and Maul vertically swings at her face while she is down. Serra rolls left, avoiding the attack. She then force pulls and vertically spins her lightsabers towards Maul.

Maul dives left, avoiding the attack. Then Serra uses the force to pull her lightsabers back into her hands and uses the force to rapidly sprint through the left door entrance. Maul decides to let her flee and picks up Ahsoka. Then Maul runs through the right entrance into another hallway.

Maul notices another two clones and one clone panics as he sees the menacing figure. The clone struggles to hold his gun as he yells, "It's Maul! Weapons free." Maul force pulls the clone's blaster out of his hands. Then uses force choke to force strangle the other clone to death. Maul then rotates the blaster and aims it at the clone's head. Then Maul pulls the trigger and shoots the clone in the head.

Maul force drops the blaster and runs forward. While this is happening, Vulkra and Garius run in the room where Serra fought Maul. They notice a saber strike on the ground. Garius: "Those clones sure are persistent aren't they?"

Vulkra: "I sense HE was here."

Garius: "But no corpses at this spot."

Vulkra: "Must have been a duel, but it's unclear how it ended."

Then suddenly, three clone assassins enter the room. Coming from three directions. One from the rear (where they came from), one from the right door, and one from the front. These clone assassins have wrist blades, armor that resembled clone paratroopers, and karmas. Clone assassin: "Oh look, it's a Jedi."

Clone assassin 2: "I've been waiting for this."

Garius: "What are you?"

Clone assassin 2: "We were specially engineered to exterminate your kind."

Vulkra: "Well, you clones don't have the element of surprise anymore nor do you have our trust. That was your key to victory. Don't be deceived. No clone, no matter how buffed or specially designed, is any match for a fully trained Jedi."

The assassins sprint towards the Jedi and immediately look like a blur. These clone assassins have six times the speed and reflexes of normal clones. Vulkra notices two assassins charging at her. One from the right entrance and another from the front. Vulkra uses a force push to send an assassin flying into the front door. Then Vulkra turns and notices the other clone assassin closing in on her.

She horizontally swings at the clone and he easily flips backward. Clone assassin: "Too slow Jedi." Vulkra then force pulls the assassin towards her and vertically slices him in half.

Vulkra: "How's that clone?"

Another clone charges at Garius and Garius horizontally swings to the left at the center of the assassin's body. The assassin jumps over the attack then counters and swings his right blade at the jedi's head. Garius ducks his head. Then Garius quickly turns around and readjusts. The clone assassin sprints towards Garius and Garius trusts in the force.

He senses the clone's movements as he comes forward, then the clone assassin leaps towards Garius. Garius slides right of the attack then uses the longer reach of his lightsaber to counter with a horizontal left swing, slicing the assassin in two. Clone assassin: "Auauawuauaahah!" The last clone assassin remerges as he stares down Vulkra.

Vulkra: "Come on!"

Clone assassin: "Raaaah!" The assassin charges forward with tremendous speed and comes at Vulkra with a horizontal spinning attack. Vulrka rolls to the left of the attack. Then Garius leaps directly across from the clone assassin. The assassin then readjusts and lunges at Garius. Garius lightly force pushes the assassin 3 feet back then Vulkra uses force speed to rush him from his left flank, rapidly horizontally slicing the clone in half.

Clone assassin: "Aaaaaahhhaaa!"

Garius: "I'm tired of these clones."

Vulkra: "Ok, let's hope we didn't waste too much time fighting them."

Garius: "Worst case scenario, we need to focus on our escape. I sense most jedi that haven't evacuated are dead."

Extraction

Maul is running down a hallway when he notices two clone guard corpses at the exit door. Once he runs through the door, he is on a temple landing platform. Maul activates his communicator: "Laura, pickup, now!"

Laura: "On it!"

Maul stares off in the distance and notices a Jedi youngling facing off against eight clones. The youngling has a blue lightsaber and has already struck down three clones. The youngling is deflecting several shots and one flies into a clone's chest. Then the youngling is shot down. Then Maul sees a distant speeder car take off.

Suddenly Ahsoka starts coughing and Maul gently lets her down. Maul's Mandalorian stealth ship rapidly descends and fires a missile into the remaining four clones. Blowing them into pieces. The vehicle then descends and opens its latch.

Ahsoka then looks at Maul in anger and warns, "Get away from me."

Maul comments, "It had to be done. Let's focus on getting out right now."

Ahsoka shakes her head. Maul says, "We have to go, now." Maul tries to take her by the arm and Ahsoka pushes him.

Ahsoka: "No, I'm not going anywhere with you."

Maul: "We do not have time to fight. I need every ally I can muster to take down Sidious."

Ahsoka: "Then find another ally, I'm done working with you."

Maul: "Sidious is the reason for Anakin's death, avenge him!"

Ahsoka activates her lightsabers and yells, "You are the reason for his death!"

Maul: "Stop, you are bringing undue attention."

While this is happening, Rex is watching the argument through the viewpoint of Maul's gunship. He is standing behind Laura and Hugo. Rex suddenly decides enough is enough, he is going to intervene. Rex runs out of the cockpit and into the living room. Hugo turns around and yells, "What do you think you're doing?!"

Rex ignores Hugo and runs through the latch onto the landing platform. He then sees Maul and Ahsoka arguing, with Ahsoka's lightsabers on and drawn. Rex then warns from the distance, "Ahsoka, I don't trust him either. But, we have to go now! The temple is falling apart and I saw thousands of clones march into that temple. Most of the 501st is in there now."

Maul notices Rex from the distance and says, "Yes, listen to your clone. We do not have time!" Ahsoka then turns and sees Rex. Ahsoka wants to mention Anakin's death, but then she remembers what he told her earlier. Ahsoka never intended to kill Anakin, she just wanted to capture or turn him. It all happened too fast and suddenly the darkness snapped back from her. Even if just for this moment.

Now she was stricken with grief. Ahsoka shakes her head and moans, "no".

Rex then grabs Ahsoka by her shoulders and says, "Ahsoka, come on." Maul clinches his fists in frustration, then a V-wing notices Maul's ship and soars above the platform.

Maul notices it from the distance and shouts, "No, hurry!" The v-wing fires a volley of laser shots into the Maul's gunship and it explodes. Rex is knocked down from the explosion and Ahsoka stumbles 2 feet forward before catching herself. Maul: "Arrahahahha! I told you to come on the ship and you didn't listen. Now their lives are on your hands and we just lost a lot of time!"

Rex: "Stop complaining. What kind of leader are you?! It's a shame they died, but I doubt you cared that much about them. Even if you did, we need to focus on what our next move is. Not beat someone who is already down."

Maul sighs and asks, "Then what do you suggest we do, Rex?"

Rex: "We need to commandeer a couple jedi starfighters for our escape and I honestly doubt we need to steal them to do this. There is a good chance that there will be a couple extra starfighters laying around somewhere if the clones didn't already destroy them to prevent an escape."

Ahsoka: "And I know just where they would be. We can find a couple at the jedi hangar. I will team up with you this one last time so we can escape, after that, you're on your own."

Maul: "What about killing Sidious?"

Rex: "Another time, we need to go."

Escape

The three warriors prepare to escape when they suddenly notice two people confront them in the landing platform. It is Vulkra and Garius. Maul: "Well, I must admit you are two persistent jedi."

Vulkra: "Ahsoka, why have you betrayed us like this?"

Ahsoka: "It is a long story, but I did not betray you. I haven't killed a single jedi. Its complicated, but you have to trust me."

Garius: "Help us kill Maul."

Maul feels uneasy when he hears this remark and Rex does too not knowing what will happen next. Ahsoka knows this is a risky action to take. While odds of taking Maul down are good, as far as she is concerned. Ahsoka knows this will put a good danger on Rex. There is also another reason.

Ahsoka responds, "No, not now. We need him, he can help us defeat Sidious. The one who was behind this attack and we need to focus on getting out of here alive right now."

Garius: "Ahsoka, listen to yourself. He has twisted you. You cannot trust him!"

Vulkra: "This is the kind of nonsense Quinlan Vos said about Dooku and teaming up to kill Sidious. These shenanigans don't work. We've done too much compromising."

Maul activates his double lightsaber and says, "So be it." Ashoka holds her hand up, as a warning for Maul to wait. Then Ashoka activates her lightsabers and Rex points his blasters at them.

Then Ahsoka says: "Think about this. If you fight him, you fight me. If you fight me, you fight Rex."

Garius: "I just thought about this. You have a clone with you, you are a part of this!"

Rex: "Nope, they put chips in our heads for order 66. Ahsoka took mine out and deactivated it. Otherwise I would have already shot, why do you think I'm alone?"

Vulkra: "He seems to be telling the truth."

Ahsoka: "The odds aren't the best for you two right now, so I'd leave if I were you."

Garius: "We can take them."

Vulkra: "Another day."

Garius: "Alright."

Vulkra and Garius flee into the hallways.

Maul: "They will likely head to the same place as us."

Ahsoka: "Perhaps, but they will likely take a different route."

Rex: "As long as they stay out of our way, it's fine."

The trio charge down another hallway and Rex sets his blasters to stun. Out of respect for his brothers. They are running down a hallway and five clones see them from the distance. Two are armed with long blaster rifles and two have blaster carbines. The clone in the middle of the team is a sergeant with a blaster pistol nicknamed Slaiter.

Sergeant Slaiter: "Wait a minute. That's Rex!" The sergeant then shouts from the distance, "Rex, what are you doing?! Working with Maul and a Jedi traitor?!"

Rex: "You are deceived. I am sticking with an old friend who would never betray us."

Sergeant Slaiter: "You speak treason! Very well then, you'll die like all the rest. We have our orders!" The clones open fire and Maul immediately uses force pull to throw two of the clones in the front into each other, knocking both of them out, then launches them into two of the other clones behind them. Knocking Staiter's entire squad out.

Slaiter is not fazed and fires three shots at Ahsoka, she deflects each shot. Then Rex blasts Slaiter with a stun shot, knocking him out. The team keeps advancing and three more clones close in from the distance. One clone charges at Maul and Maul uses a force grip to toss him into the ceiling. The clone falls back down unconscious. Rex blasts the other two clones with stun shots.

Ahsoka then leads the team through a door into a hidden stealth route that takes them to the main hangar; there a battle is still happening with some of the remaining jedi vs clones. Three jedi knights remain in the hangar, making a stand for any extra survivors to make a possible escape. One has a green lightsaber and is a 5'11 Zabrak with brown eyes (Yor Cole). Another has a blue lightsaber and is a 6 foot tall bald human knight with blue eyes (Devin Scott). The last one is a female 5'4 Rodian jedi with smooth light green skin, large black eyes, and dual green lightsabers (Jule Puetch).

[2] (This is Our Land)

Jule: "Our lives for the true Republic!" They are standing across six clones. Two with long blaster rifles and four with blaster carbines. They are suppressing fire with an intense volley of blaster shots towards the jedi. Yor deflects several blaster shots from clones and bounces one of the shots back into a clone. Devin reflects a blaster shot into a clone with a long blaster rifle. Jule charges ahead of the others and deflects blaster shots into two of the clones.

Then Jule horizontally cuts down the other clone with a long blaster rifle. Then deflects another blaster shot into the remaining clone. Three more clones enter. Two with blaster carbines and the one in the middle has a rocket launcher. The clone on the right shoots at her and Jule swats the shot back into the clone. The rocket clone fires a rocket directly into Jule, blowing her to bits.

Yor: "Noooo!!!" Yor then feels a surge in the dark side as he chases forward. Reflecting a blaster shot into the other blaster wielding clone. Then the rocket trooper fires a rocket at him and Yor uses the force to redirect the rocket into the clone. The clone's body explodes into several fragments.

Then a clone heavy mech enters the hangar. It is a clone in a heavy mechanical armored suit that is eight feet tall and 500 pounds. Devin's eyes widen as he notices the massive suit. The mech opens fire with a rapid fire wrist blaster, firing at 1200 RPM. Releasing a volley of shots at Yor. Yor uses force sprint to dash to the right of the blaster shots, but the clone is slowly lining up his shots on him.

Then Devin picks up a 50-pound metal object in the hangar and throws it at the mech. The object hits the mech center mass, causing it to stumble back two feet and briefly stop shooting. Then the mech turns around and fires two missiles at Devin. The missiles fly much faster than standard republic rockets. This catches Devin off guard, but he still tries to dive out of the way.

This causes Devin to avoid direct contact with the missiles but, they still land a few feet behind him. The explosion sends him flying three feet forward into the ground. While this is happening, Maul, Rex, and Ahsoka run across the left side of the hangar and slip past those Jedi. They notice two Jedi starfighters within the left side of the hangar. Ahsoka gets into one of the starfighters and Rex hops in the other.

Maul heads to the edge of the hangar, away from the fighting, and sprints to the right side of the hangar. There, he notices another Jedi starfighter. There are a few other Jedi starfighters further down the right side of the hangar. As Ahsoka activates her ship in the distance the mech detects the heat signatures and is ready to shoot at her. However, it notices Yor charging at it from its right flank and decides to attack him instead.

The mech turns around and shoots at Yor with a rapid volley of shots. Yor uses all his concentration to reflect the shots back into the mech. The mech takes damage from the attack, as a volley of blue blaster shoots bounces back into it. Steam flows from the armor of the mech and black stains show from the armor of the suit. However, the mech is still functional.

Ahsoka then takes off. Rex activates his ship and tries to take off, but nothing happens. All he hears is some engine rumbling. Rex says to himself, "Oh come on, not now." Rex punches the controls in frustration then decides to wait a few seconds and turns the ship off. Then Rex cuts it back on again and tries to take off again. His ship briefly rises then it falls back down and he hears the engine rumbling again.

Maul takes off next and Rex cuts his ship off again. Rex has faith, takes a deep breath, and presses the start button again and his ship takes off, about 20 meters behind Maul's ship. Rex has a chance to fire on Maul, but decides not to be rotten and lets Maul live. As they take off into the hangar, the fight goes on. The mech switches to a red laser beam and fires it at Yor. Yor rolls forward, narrowly avoiding the shot that was just inches above his head. Then Yor swings low and cuts the mech's bottom legs off.

This sends the giant tumbling down and Yor jumps on top of it, then thrust his lightsaber through its head (where the operator is). Devin gets up and shakes his head. Then Yor is shot in his chest from a stray blaster shot that flew from the left direction and falls off the mech. Devin looks ahead and notices a clone sniper. The sniper then fires a blue blaster bolt at Devin and he reflects the shot back into the sniper. Devin runs up to Yor then senses a second sniper shot from the right direction and quickly reflects it back into another distant sniper.

Devin looks at Yor while he is down. Devin: "Yor, I am so sorry."

Yor: "It is beyond your control. Thank you for helping me hold the line. Fight valiantly so that as many Jedi can escape as possible. We made some mistakes in our past but, we need to make sure that other Jedi have a CHANCE to make things better in the future." Yor goes silent then Devin closes his eyes and slowly raises his head.

Devin then notices two Jedi slip out of a side door and run down the right side of the hangar. The Jedi are Garius and Vulkra. Devin briefly wonders if he should run behind them, surely there can't be any more survivors. Then he hears a distant noise and decides to hold his ground. Devin's thoughts are unclear. He senses multiple enemies, yet sees nothing.

They must be distant. Then suddenly he is shot from an unexpected angle, on the left side of his stomach. Devin collapses on the floor. He looks up and notices five clone shadow troopers who were cloaked with active camouflage. Which allows them to be invisible in almost any environment. They were all armed with blaster carbines. Clone shadow trooper: "Looks, like we showed up just in time."

Clone shadow trooper 2: "Never saw us coming." The clone shadow trooper then looks at Devin while he is coughing in pain. Then the shadow trooper kicks his lightsaber aside shoots him in the back of the head. Clone shadow trooper 2: "Jedi eliminated. That is for all the clones we lost to take this temple you scum!"

Clone shadow trooper 3: "We should celebrate at the Renni Food Palace. The next round of drinks is on me, but someone else has to treat for the Renni Burgers."

New Horizon

As Maul, Ahsoka, and Rex fly in the skies they notice five clone v-wing fighters incoming. Maul wastes no time to accelerate his fighter and open fire. Quickly destroying one v-wing. Another v-wing flies behind Maul and shoots at him. Ahsoka spins around dodging shots from two v-wings then returns fire and destroys them both. Rex soars towards a v-wing and it flies at him.

Both ships opened fire and quickly evaded each other's shots. Then Rex notices the fighter on Maul's tail. Rex blasts the v-wing. Then Rex's pursuer flies back behind him and starts shooting in his direction. Blue turbolaser beams are closing in as they are a few feet right of his ship. Maul then rotates his fighter and returns the favor by neutralizing the v-wing. Rex and Maul move in behind Ahsoka as she takes the lead. Apparently, being the best pilot among them, taking after her old master.

Ahsoka notices a Venator in the way of their exit. Ashoka: "I don't know if we'll be able to stop them! They seem to have a lock on our starfighters. We have a lot of contact on our way. Rex, it has been a pleasure fighting with you, I'm sorry for the times I wronged you, took you for granted, or didn't appreciate you enough."

Rex: "Same to you Ahsoka. It's been an honor and there is no one I'd rather serve with."

Maul: "Enough of this love fest. Let's go out fighting."

Ahsoka: "Someone's jealous."

Then the unexpected happens, a hidden turbolaser emerges from the Jedi temple. It opens fire and releases a powerful light blue ion blast that flies into the Venator. When the Venator is hit, electricity cycles throughout the ship and it goes dark. Steam flows through the Republic cruiser as it sits dead in space. Rex: "Wo! The Jedi came to our rescue."

Ahsoka: "They probably don't know it's us. All they know is that it's three Jedi starfighters."

Maul: "Apparently not just us. Two more in the distance."

Rex: "Do you think it could be?"

Ahsoka: "It is, I can sense it."

Maul: "Then they can probably sense us. We should engage them."

Rex: "No, we can't risk it. We have to get out asap and hope they don't shoot at us. The Venator will be back up soon. We are at their mercy."

The trio moves ahead and begins to soar into space. With the two jedi star fighters not far behind them. Garius: "We have a clear shot at them."

Vulkra: "I know, but not like this."

Garius: "Yeah, I agree. I sense that we should let them pass."

Rex, Maul, and Ahsoka have now entered space. Rex: "I'm detecting a squad of arc fighters heading in our direction."

Ahsoka: "Don't worry about them. We can zoom ahead."

Ahsoka, Maul, and Rex make it right past five arc fighters narrowly avoiding a barrage of blaster shots. They then take off into hyperspace. Then the five arc fighters notice the other two Jedi starfighters. Garius: "We should be able to hyperspace out of here if we can take this squad down."

Vulkra: "Alright, I hope we can. If not, it's been more than a pleasure fighting with you Garius."

Garius: "It truly has been more than a pleasure."

The arc fighters descend on them and Vulkra immediately opens fire. Splitting one of the arc fighters in two with a barrage of turbolaser shots. Garius fires an ion torpedo which shreds through one of the arc fighters. Garius then under the main guns of one of the arc fighters and blasts it to pieces. Another arc fighter flies behind Garius and starts shooting at him. Garius: "Taking heavy fire."

Vulkra notices another arc fighter that is preparing to engage her. Vulkra: "One second, Garius." Vulkra accelerates towards the arc fighter and the clone pilot does the same towards her. Then suddenly, both fighters open fire and attempt to evade the incoming volleys of shots. Vulkra pulls out just in time, but the arc fighter is too slow and is destroyed.

Garius continues to try to avoid several blaster shots. His starfighter gets hit by an indirect blaster shot, leaving a black burn on his ship and shaking it up. Vulkra then flies on Garius's tail and takes out the arc fighter from behind. Garius: "Thanks Vulkra, that was a close one."

Vulkra: "I know, I didn't think we were going to make it out of that one." Both of the starfighters then escape through hyperspace.

And so it was. The galaxy in shambles and hundreds of Jedi lives lost on Coruscant. Though several survived and lived to regroup on Polis Massa. Maul, Rex, and Ahsoka escape with many questions left to answer. Sidious has the galaxy under his grasp but has lost his crown jewel and his ego has been hurt by this unforeseen loss. The final loose ends must be tied and the costs of doing so may be great.
