There is NO Tomorrow

It was now December and the first snow brought soldiers into Ottawa. They came in force marching up and down the streets. Tanks and armored personnel carriers made their presents known by demolishing the High School. Lots had become the slaughtering grounds for anyone who stepped out of line. Hope seemed like summers distant memory. The outlook was grim, the President wasn't kidding, when he said he was going to beat them that's exactly what he meant.

Every one of the Lots crew was on edge, anticipating the arrival of more troops. Snow had concealed their base as increased military patrols had begun to comb the area. The Overlord had made sure they'd stocked up on kerosene for the heat lanterns during their summer and fall raids. The KEY Counsel had implemented rationing their food and heat just until the winter ended.

Meanwhile, this were heating up for the President.

"What do you mean they want an update?"

"Sir, they are demanding we quell this rebellion or face the consequences and their wrath."

"Sir, they're on the line, demanding to speak to you."

The President gulps and takes a seat in his now empty oval office and answers the call.

"We're all anxious as to hear that you ended that rebellion."

"Well I..."

"You did end it didn't you?"

"The military have ended any attacks, but we have yet to locate the rebels."

"That's disappointing to hear. Don't make us get involved. For a united world, certain...undesirables must be eliminated, or we won't have control of the masses."

"Understood, we shall end them immediately."

"Don't disappoint us."

"TELL THE GENERALS TO LAUNCH THE ATTACK NOW!"

Sunrise found bombers heading to Ottawa to level the surrounding area hoping to end this rebellion.
