Black Key of Rareness

Leon threw the red monster away after grabbing the leg with a powerful force. The red monster was sent flying away to some distance.

He balanced himself in the air and landed comfortably on his feet.

His fighting style makes me think that he could have learned it from somewhere, unlike randomly throwing punches around; he just attacked me, knowing that the heart is the main part that needed to be attacked. Mostly, the speed of his is incredibly good.

The monster stared at Leon and once again disappeared into the air from Leon's site. Leon shifted his gaze around, trying to find the next spot where the monster might appear.

While doing so, his senses were on high alert.

The red monster appeared just above his head from behind and was ready to strike him on the head with his leg, which was moved up, and he moved his leg quickly to strike at Leon. Once the leg of the monster was close enough to Leon's head,.

Clang…

The strike was blocked by the sword blade, and Leon's fast reaction to the strike saved him from getting any major damage from the red monster.

That was a close one. If I hadn't reacted fast enough, that bow of his might have opened up my head for sure.

Leon moved his sword away forcefully, because of which the red monster jumped away from Leon and distanced himself.

Tap…

Leon turned around with a serious expression. It appears that he has taken the fight seriously now. After all, the monster next to him isn't your typical monster that he can deal with.

Leon laughed softly and spoke. "You're not the only one who can use such a vanishing move."

It was then that he moved his foot a bit and vanished from the view of the monster.

The monster only blinked his eyes and stood still calmly in one spot.

The aura around him spread, extending itself into the surrounding area. After the aura was expended enough, the red monster felt the movement of Leon. He was unable to see him. The sound of steps was coming into his ears.

Right behind him, Leon appeared, and with a ready fist, he punched him in the face. The red monster turned around with a quick step and tried to encounter Leon with its own punch.

The monster hand was extended and was coming from the right side towards Leon.

Woosh…

Leon bent down his upper body as the hand moved above him.

Pow…

In the stomach of the monster, Leon's fist struck.

Auah?!...

Leon's fist had no effect on the red monster, who stood still and watched Leon's expression. Both made eye contact.

The red monster moved his hand toward Leon's wrist. Leon quickly dashed away, moving his hand away from the red monster. After getting away from the red monster, Leon swings the dragon slayer at the hand of the red monster. 

Who, with his bare hand, blocked the sword blade. This left Leon stunned, knowing that the red monster was able to grab on to a sharp blade that could have cut a dragon without any problem. 

The red monster moved his hand back a bit and made a fist. An aura surrounded his fist. Leon noticed the fist of the monsters, but it was to late for him to dodge that one. The monster moved his fist at a speed to which leon couldn't react to. 

Bang…

the fist was hit, but the monster reaction was telling something else. The powerful fist of the red monster was blocked by leon with his hand. 

"Not bad Honestly, I thought this time you had me for sure, but I guess you and I are still on the same level."

He said with a very joyful look on his face. It didn't seems to be excited but rather more like enjoyment on his face.

While holding on the fist of the monster with his hand, smoke was coming out from the contact place of the hands. 

I had never thought that it could have been this dangerous. Well, this is getting boring; why not just end it now and head to the dragon?

"Kid, it seems like I have no time to play around with you."

Leon moved the red monster hand away and dashed closer to the monster, releasing the grip on the handle of the dragon slayer. Getting close, he moved his hand forward and grabbed on to the monster's face. 

Bang…

With great force, he threw the monster on the ground; even the ground was shattered because of the strong force.

The sword was in mid-air. Leon moved his hand towards the sword and grabbed on to the handle of the sword. The chance to strike was clear to him. While holding on to the monster's face and keeping him down to the ground.  

He pointed his sword at the monster's chest without taking any more time. He directly moved his sword point towards the chest and stabbed his heart. 

Stab…

Sigh… 

The sword was stabbed in the chest, while the monster was on the ground with his expressionless face. Leon stood up on the ground, next to the monster body.

He was taking quite a breath. While giving a good stare at the red monster, who seems to be dead by now. 

Leon silently watched the lifeless body of the red monster, whose eyes were still open, looking up at the top of the dungeon. There was no blood coming out of his body. 

He's still alive. I thought stabbing his heart would have been enough, but I guess I was wrong about it. He does look paralyzed to me. 

"system"

[yes!]

"Is he dead or not? If not, why is he not moving anymore? Or could it be that I have stabbed him in the wrong spot?"

[no! the monster is now half dead. Since you have destroyed its heart crystal, the only thing that you have destroyed now is the second heart of the dragon on the right side of his chest]

In his mind, there was something that he began to think to himself after reading the system sentence. His eyes were on the system while he himself was spaced out in his thoughts.

Could it be that the one who makes contract with the dragon have two hearts? But that was not the case with the elf dragon.

Something popped up in his mind—something that he had realized now. 

He moved his gaze at the monster body; his eyes were focused on the chest of the monster. "How can I forget the elf dragon? He also made a contract with the dragons too. But that is another matter."

Holding the sword's handle, Leon pulled the sword from the red monster chest. After taking out the sword, he looked at the sword blade from the end. Surprisingly, there was not a single piece of blood on it.

The sword looked completely fine, except the blood of the previous killed monster was somewhat present. 

Once the sword was out of the chest and the red monster was back in his consciousness, he moved his eyes towards Leon, seeing him standing next to him. 

The monster only moved his eyes and had no other sign of movement except for the eyes. It seems like the body was paralyzed or something. 

Leon lifted his sword up a bit and said to the monster, "Sorry, Bud, but you see, I have other matters to take care of. You're not that important at the moment. so just die."

stab…

 Leon stabbed the monster on the right side of the monster chest, just in the same place where the right heart could have been.

seeing the message, leon questioned to himself in his mind, wondering to himself.

I hope it could be something useful to defeat that black crystal dragon. because that thing is really pain in my work. Hope I don't get any useless skills.

"a rare black key? what is that now, system? I was hoping for a very useful ability to defeat that dragon but you're giving me a useless key that may not be able to harm a mouse."

leon had his disappointed expression, and with that expression, he was staring at the system in disbelief.
