The Healer Class

"I'm on the search for specially gifted crawlers who I believe have the ability to be apart of the strongest." Vance explains. "You're special." Vance hands Haewon a card.

[Do You Wish To Create A Crawler Card?]

Haewon chooses the yes option, turning the physical card into pixels that evaporated into thin air.

[Crawler Card Status: Activated]

[Haewon (Healer): Rank E Crawler]

"Why should I trust you?" Haewon questions Vance.

"Because there's no one else to trust." Vance walks out of the room but tilts his head slightly to Haewon. "And if you didn't trust me, that's okay." Vance snaps his fingers, instantly corroding the metal chains into a pile of rust. "Goodluck. Here's some pocket money." Vance yawns as he walks out of the room, leaving Haewon to his own thoughts.

A pile of gold lands on Haewon's lap, instantly evaporating into thin air before a notification appears.

[+100 Gold]

Haewon picks up the card and inspects it even further. "Vance's one and only special invitation!" with a self drawn picture of a chibi Vance giving a thumbs up.

[Location: Heart of Citadel City]

Haewon walked down the city streets, glancing over to the many who walked past him. He noticed they would quicken their pace as they got near to them, decelerating when they got a safe distance from him.

"That's him." A woman whispers to another as they gawked at Haewon. "He's the cursed one..." They gave him a concerned look, not concern for him but out of concern of their own safety.

'Cursed one?' Haewon thought to himself. 'To be fair, I am dressed like a prisoner.' He looked down at his outfit which had been given to him by Vance. A small grey cloth shirt with long black pants, an outfit fit for a farmer.

Haewon ignores the chattering and gossip his presence created, walking straight up to a salesman.

"Do you perhaps know where I could get some weapons?" Haewon stands in front of a weapon dealer with all sorts of magical weapons laid in front of him.

"What are you looking for?" The old man had a large mustache and bushy eyebrows that covered his eyes. He wore leather overalls with a dirty white shirt underneath.

"I'll take your finest!" Haewon answered.

"Then this one." The old man picks up a ginormous blade from underneath his stand, nearly double his size yet he could wield it with one hand with little to no effort. "Forged in the hearts of the mountains of the dwarves, it is 100% pure Dwarfite."

The blade ripples in the sunlight as its paper-thin edge cuts even the molecules in the air.

"And how much is this?" Haewon went and placed his hand on the hilt but a panel popped up in front of his face.

[CHARACTER CLASS INVALID]

"Would you like to look at any other weapons?" The old man dragged the sword back down and hid it underneath the stand.

"Shit!" The panel got Haewon slightly, scaring him. "I'm a support healer. I can't wield heavy items! The most I can wield is..." He looks around the stand for any items he could use.

All of the blades glistened and called out for his name, yet only one he could use.

"Are you sure you want this weapon?" The old man looks kind of shocked and worried as he holds up a wooden staff with a short tiny blade on the edge. "I don't think I've ever sold any of these before."

"Yes. I'm certain." Haewon places his hand on the staff, and a notification appears.

[Do You Wish To Purchase <Bladed Staff> for 35 Gold?]

Haewon presses the [Yes] notification before a golden aura surrounds him, proudly claiming Haewon as the new user of the weapon.

[Location: Outside Citadel City, Greenlands]

"Hya!" Haewon lunges his blade deep into the innards of the Slime, tearing through its slimy sticky exterior. It screamed in pain as a mouth opened up from the homogenous being, goo spitting out.

[Green Slime Killed! +5 Gold, +15 EXP]

[Daily Quest: 1 / 10 Slimes Killed]

"Phew." Haewon sighs as with the finishing blow, a blue aura surrounds him, notifying him of the gain in experience points. "It's really just like Dungeon Crawler!" Haewon swung his staff in the air, striking a Slime mid-air as it tried attacking Haewon from behind.

The slime disappeared into a pile of green goo.

[Daily Quest: 2 / 10 Slimes Killed]

[Level Up! + 1 Skill Point]

Haewon opens up his skill tree, revealing an entire skill tree of potential abilities he could unlock. "I'm going to need an attacking skill." Haewon analyses the tree. "And if I'm not wrong, the first attacking skill a healer unlocks is this one.

[Do You Wish To Learn <Overheal >?]

A green aura surrounds Haewon, notifying him of his new possession of a skill.

He stands in front of an innocent Slime in the Greenlands outside of town. The wind blew against his hair as he held his hand out, pointing his hand towards the Slime.

[Overheal]!

A green aura shoots from his fingertips, raining down glitter onto the Slime as the creature shakes about. The creature's body starts to morph in all sorts of ways, stretching and turning until it eventually pops! Turning into a green goo.

[Daily Quest: 3/10 Slimes Killed]

"Woohoo!" Haewon parades around, excitedly dancing about. He looks down at his hands, the green aura still wrapping around his fingertips. "It feels even better in real life."

The sun slowly glides across the sky as Haewon finishes off his tenth Slime, completing his daily quest.

[Daily Quest: 10/10 Slimes Killed]

[Quest Complete! +150 Gold, +1 [Call] Skill, +100 EXP]

The sun slowly fades into the mountainous view as the light slowly turns into darkness. The clouds move overhead and the birds stop flying as often. The stars in the night sky make their shiny presence known to everyone, yet Haewon is still in the fields.

"Hah!" Haewon slams down his staff on another Slime, hitting it with an [Overheal] in the process, guaranteeing a kill. Haewon's body was covered in scratches and all sorts of attacks from the Slimes getting the better of him.

He opens his skill tree and looks at the unused skill points

[5 Unused Skill Points]

"Which means I can buy this skill." Haewon uses his already-known knowledge of the game and his mastery of the Healer skill tree to his true advantage.

[Do You Wish To Learn <Life Sap> for 5 Skill Points?]

"Life Sap will allow me to drain the health of enemies while also healing myself in the process," Haewon explains. He turns to the last Slime in the entire field, now a decimated wasteland of green goo. "[Life Sap]!"

Roots emerged from his forearm that dug deep into the Slime, pulsating as it sucked out nutrients and pumped them straight into Haewon's body. Haewon's scratches and bruises slowly fade and disappear as he steals more and more of the Slime's health.

"The Healer Class." Haewon looks at his hand with his staff in the other, basking in the last few glimpses of sunlight. "A class often overlooked for the more flashy and powerful classes." He clenched his fist into a ball. "Always underestimated for its lethality."
