SSS-Class Plunderer

This book is dropped. Check my new novel and WSA entry 'Re: In Another World With The Strongest System' here: http://wbnv.in/a/5fh5i6F ...... 20 Years Ago, the apocalypse came to Earth. Animals and plants have evolved into savage beasts, while unknown threats lurk in the shadows. Dungeons appeared, each with its own set of dangerous monsters. Hope was lost until they appeared. They were called the ‘Awakened.’ They were humans who had special abilities that allowed them to fight back these monsters. Using this newly acquired power, humanity eventually reclaimed half of the Earth’s land as of now. Then what about me? Ha, I’m a failed potential SSS Class Awakened. Due to an accident, my potential degraded to F Class which was no different from a normal human. Are you kidding me? They even created the so-called F Class potential specifically for me as a sign of ‘respect’ for my previous potential rank. But I ignored the humiliation and continued to be an ‘Awakened,’ working as a porter to make a living. It was the good old days. But one day, after narrowly escaping death in a dungeon, I received a mysterious ability that allowed me to plunder the abilities of the monsters or humans I killed. “Finally! I have another chance to change my fate! ” However, all of my joy would vanish after the first time I used the skill. Although it claims to be able to plunder someone’s abilities, it appears that this skill... is also plundering something within me. …………….. The Legendary Necromancer (2)

Freya grimaced, looking at the humongous clouds of red monsters glaring down at everyone. However, she did not lose focus. Her mind wandered through every part of space, trying to break through the dimension.

'Damn it, I can't contact the others.'

The 5 SS-Class remaining on Earth can be said to be the Elites of Elites. Additionally, once she managed to call that 'Blessed', only then they would have a great chance to stalemate the fight. She wasn't sure if the boss monster would be above SS-Class, but still, it's better to assume that the monster would be really above them.

As her mind reached clarity, the lines of her soul suddenly trembled. It quivered in fright and hastily went back towards her body. Sweats trickled from her forehead as she opened her eyes.

'Huff, huff, what was that?'

Someone's spell made her soul fall back in retreat. It was as if she was in the deep ocean slowly falling. Freya frowned and held her aching head. At that moment, she noticed something was off.

As she swept her eyes around the surroundings, she saw everyone staring above the clouds. Curious, Freya raised and narrowed her eyes at the thing gathering everyone's attention.

'Dark Clouds?'

She took a short glance towards the Blood monsters and spotted their gazes being drawn to these dark clouds as well. The nimbus cloud continuously produced blue rumbling thunders as it spread towards their proximity. Towards her side, she heard Gu Lian speak to others.

"Don't tell me, he's making a grand entrance once again."

"Aye, he always has this chuuni vibes. Well, having terrible country leaders has its perks, you know. Maybe he's influenced by this." Miguel lamented.

"With him here, we could prolong this fight more. Let's just hope he has enough mana until then."

Freya closed her eyes before staring at the dark clouds once again. Shortly afterwards, the scenery was shrouded in the darkness, and everyone felt numerous gazes crawling around their skin.

With this, everyone knew that someone was making his way in their direction.

Everyone's expressions became elated as they quietly waited in anticipation.

...........

A man stepped outside the portal he created. He looked no older than a handsome middle-aged man with short red hair that reached the nape of his neck and a perfectly sculpted face that would make a woman turn their heads in sight.

His name is Aviante, the King of the Bloodbane race. After hearing his plan being foiled, without thinking, he decided to just visit the land himself. Earlier, his wife objected to his actions but the keys to the Ruined King's tomb were too important to be ignored.

As the scenery gradually unfolds towards his sight, he is greeted by a world shrouded in an endless abyss.

He looked at the side and spotted the gatekeepers rambling something about that specific direction. Trying to sense what was unfolding on the other side, Aviante closed his eyes and scattered his perception everywhere.

"Hmm… so many powerful humans? And that one seemed special." Aviante raised his hand and crushed something in his fist, "An envoy eh?"

Crack—, crack—

At the same time, the dark world cracked.

Shatter—

After a brief pause, it shattered. Shards of broken dark fragments fell towards the ground before vanishing into pale dust. Aviante lowered his gaze and snarled towards his kin.

"You dare to watch the enemies cast their spells on you! Are you seeking your own demise!"

Every bloodbane species cocked their heads towards him and their eyes widened in realization.

"M-my lord."

"My lord."

"My lord."

The 20 gatekeepers kneeled and lowered their heads towards the ground. Sweat trickled under their necks as they waited for their punishments.

"Rise."

Despite his annoyance, Aviante let it slip for the meantime as this wasn't the right time to give punishments. He took a glance at the blood races that the Bloodbane race captured before shifting back towards the humans.

Their eyes showed murderous intent as they glared at him menacingly.

With the red clouds gathering on the skies once again, Aviante's deep and hoarse voice spoke.

"Humans, I am the King of the Bloodbane race, Aviante. I have come not to seek war but to find the people holding the keys to the tomb of one of our ancestors. I hope you will cooperate with me so we won't have to shed blood on both sides."

Aviante spoke with dignity and seriousness and yet the expressions of these humans did not have a change of face in the slightest.

......…

Every Awakened present was bewildered when the dark shroud cracked and shattered. Earlier, Cassia explained that this was the spell of Urs so it wouldn't be aimed at them.

However, before the spell could even swallow the enemies, somebody destroyed it. Freya raised her head and glared at the newly arrived humanoid boss monster. It was in the shape of a man wearing red armor with glistering shoulder blades. A black coat trailed behind his back while a sword engraved with a blood pattern was hanging on his hips.

The man mumbled towards its kin before turning his gaze towards them. The man then spoke something about keys. However, not a single one of them listened.

Inside their heads, a monster is a monster. No matter what shape they take, they are still the abominations that terrorized Earth. Listening to their ramblings was the same as succumbing to their nonsense.

Urs is here now, no need to be afraid.

The man, who introduced himself as Aviante, narrowed his eyes and nodded. He grasped the handle of his spear and spoke coldly.

"Since none of you wanted to take a step back…" At that moment, the air suddenly became heavy, "... then I will get it myself. I hope you will survive till then."

.........….

Urs and Hans arrived at the scene riding a dark thundercloud. As he had no gears to wear, Urs lent him a complete battle suit. Now, Hans wore red and black battle gear with a complex design. It has an adjustable size and wings as an added feature.

On his face, he wore a plain black mask that hid his face very well. Even if everyone tries to gauge his appearance, the mask will protect it. Just slightly above his waist, a violet sword continued to tremble in excitement.

After inspecting himself, his eyes darted towards the man floating in the mid air. A familiar voice echoed inside his head.

[That's a Bloodbane race, Hans! Don't get wounded by them. There's a reason why they are called the bane of all blood.]

'Are they like a monster hunter or something? Those guys stemmed like prisoners.'

[You can put it as Blood hunters. They are like 2x stronger when fighting enemies associated with blood, like vampires, blood dragons, demons, etc. Well, I will advise you to run but… your choice.]

'It's alright. Thanks for the info.'

Hans rested his hand on the hilt of the sword and muttered.

"Urs, what's the plan?"

In every battle, it was mandatory to always have a strategy. Sometimes, the one with the most brilliant strategies always wins no matter how strong or how many the enemies are.

"I don't know. I always fight alone."

"Eh?"

Well, that was surprising. Hans held his chin and looked behind the ten SS-Class Awakened. All of them were already in position, holding each of their signature weapons. The one who stands out the most is Sweden's SS-Class Awakened, Kristina Andersson.

She wasn't wearing the typical battle gear or suits. Instead, Kristina was wearing tight fit black pants and a black leather top. The sleeves were folded at elbow length, exposing the tattoo of her name. She also wore black gloves trimmed on her fingers, making it easier to grip something.

On her back hangs a red-golden sniper rifle while two silver pistols were holstered on the side.

As if sensing his gaze, the woman turned towards him and winked.

[Is a gun that effective?]

Even Plundy was curious as well. Hans saw a variety of weapons and guns were one of them. But he hadn't seen anyone use a gun to kill high-level monsters. Based on the reaction of other S-classes, Hans concluded that they have the same thoughts too.

"Urs."

"What is it?"

"If someone asks, tell them I'm one of your summons." Hans pleaded.

Though somewhat bewildered, Urs assured, "O-okay."

Well, as long as he hides his identity, no one would really suspect that he's Hans Luther, except for Urs. Hans calculated all the possibilities he could think of and concluded that it wasn't bad befriending him at all.

Soon, the leader of the Bloodbane, Aviante, descended to the ground with his kin and servants regrouping in a column at the back. Aviante looked at them with his eyes sharply narrowed.

Currently, only Hans and Urs are in the middle of the ample field. The other Awakened would be scattered around to prevent friendly fire. Hans doesn't know how many summons Urs has but it should be at least enough to fill the center field.

"You, the man with countless souls."

Aviante pointed his hands in their direction. Hans looked towards Urs.

"I will negotiate with your race once again. Surrender the keys to the Ruined King's Tomb and I will let your race go. Don't be mistaken, I'm not talking out of fear but because you are an envoy."

However, the response came from the Awakeners behind instead.

"So he's here for those? I thought it was some kind of key."

"Why don't we just give it?"

"Tch, you really expect those monsters will let us go after that huh?"

Aviante frowned, hearing others butt in their conversation. As he was about to kill those guys, Aviante stopped. Numerous deadly spells were immediately aimed towards him, waiting to be released.

"Hmm… very interesting. I like it." Aviante raised his hand signaling his kin to prepare.

At that moment, the whole dimension was flooded with a heavy and gloomy atmosphere, continuously emitting from everyone. The leaves crunched and trees crunched in pain before their life was sucked out away.

Gradually, the ample space field with brimming life became a barren land.

"This is annoying…"

With a wave of Aviante's hand, all Awakened except for Hans and Urs vanished. He stared at the two and sat on a newly spawned stone chair on his back.

"Now, we talk."

....

Urs kept his guard up and surveyed the surroundings. Based on the spell structure Aviante cast, it seemed like instant teleportation albeit more complex.

Now, only he and Hans were left on the field versus hundreds of enemies, with 20 SS-Classes monsters and one final boss. In all actuality, he's not sure if he's up to the task.

Even with his full strength, it would be hard to defeat all of them, let alone survive.

Earlier, Hans said something about his skill that will let them defeat the boss. Although not sure if it's true, Urs held this hope.

"There's nothing to talk about. I don't have those keys with me."

"Eh? You're too cold for an envoy." Aviante crossed his legs and sipped the fine wine that appeared in his hand, "Urs Hassan, right?"

"..."

"To be honest, I didn't think I would meet an envoy here, that's why I made a slight change of plans." Aviante stood up and smirked, "I'll go pick up the keys first, I'll let my subordinates have fun with you two. I'll be right back."

Shortly, the man was swallowed in a pool of blood, leaving behind his massive army. The gatekeepers (SS-Class Monsters) surrounded the two with a grin on their faces. On the other side, the numerous S-class monsters readied themselves as well.

Urs checked Hans and saw the kid did not cower. Instead, his eyes showed anticipation and excitement as he pulled the blade out of its sheath.

'Come to think of it, it's been a long time since I fought side by side with someone besides my summons.'

As he recalled the past, Urs displayed a smile before looking back at Hans. For some reason, this kid reminded him when he was only starting as an Awakened.

Impulsive, Brave, Stupid.

But even then, Hans seemed to have grown well unlike him who lived the life of a beggar as a child.

"I think we should start with the weaker monsters first, Urs."

Hans' deep voice jolted him awake from his trance. After a brief pause, Urs mind went back to reality and adjusted himself to the present.

"Weaker monsters?"

It's been a long time since he let his power go wild.

Dark energy wrapped around his hand as he spoke. At the same time, a large magic spell spread around the 100-mile radius. Hans interpreted this action as a sign of the attack.

"No need to pick who'll be first…" When the magic circle stopped spreading, Urs grinned coldly, "We'll take them all at the same time."
