Cute Little Grass

Liang Heyun, after meeting Liang Yan, was immediately ushered out. Though, Liang Yan didn't leave him with nothing. In his hands were powerful weapons, and even saintly herbs too. He was also given a few books to read. In a few days, his knowledge had far surpressed that middle aged soul.

Liang Heyun decided to travel the Blue Soul Forest. The forest, like its name, was 100% blue. Though, only useful herbs that had reached 100 years of maturity would turn back to their original colour. Never had Liang Heyun felt so much pure spiritual energy. It was nothing like the apparent realm. There was barely any spiritual energy left to absorb, let alone refine and cultivate.

'Those kinds of thoughts again...,' Liang Heyun thought, although he himself knew that he came from the apparent realm, it was rather annoying that he couldn't remember a thing, and he couldn't even think without remembering something. Super annoying ba!

The Blue Soul Forest was located to the South of the Monarch's Palace. The place was always so eerily quiet, though, anyone who entered the Blue Soul forest and managed to come back alive, were all powerful geniuses. Liang Heyun didn't know why Liang Yan, who understood his situation, would send him to this infamous Blue Soul Forest. He barely even cultivated.

The pathway was made of cobblestone. It led to the outskirts of the Blue Soul forest. The cobblestones seemed worn out, broken in some places and grass could be seen poking out from the cracks. Though, they were all blue.

Suddenly, Liang Heyun felt a pulling force to her right.

It was just a little grass, but why was she being pulled there? Liang Heyun paid attention to the lonely grass that poked out from the cobblestone, before squatting down and poked the grass. It was a funny sight. A young boy, poking a delicate grass with his chubby fingers. The grass swayed a bit, before cuddling to the boy.

Liang Heyun felt his heart being struck by an arrow. In his head, he thought, 'too meng! Too cute~'

Carefully picking up the grass, Liang Heyun put it in a jade container Liang Yan gave him. He also put in some soil alongside the grass. The onlookers were even more bewildered, though they said nothing and walked away.

The little grass was cute, swaying from side to side, consistantly rubbing at Liang Heyun.

"Stay there okay, I'll let you out when it's time to rest," Liang Heyun affectionately rubbed the grass before stowing the jade container away in a soul space.

A soul space is a mysterious...place. Every soul had one, but only those with extraordinarily powerful souls could open it. And it took one an extraordinary amount of soul power to expand the soul space. It would take one millenias to make a separate place that could store living beings. This was why Liang Heyun had to put the grass in a jade box before putting it in. The jade box would nurture the grass...

Liang Heyun skipped into the forest. The trees were thick, and this was why one had to be a very powerful soul or a one in a hundred millenias genius to be able to come back alive. One had to stay alert, not knowing what was out there, one also had to keep enough soul power to fight with the beasts. The beasts of the Blue Soul Forest made their name by being the only spirit beasts that affected the soul fire. Their attacks were, though not much, more deadlier than others spirit beasts.

Without the soul fire, a soul would immediately dissipate into nothing.

Even if a soul was broken into fragments, they would enter the reincarnation circle, and forgot everything about their past life, but if a soul fire was put out, then the river of life would produce a new soul fire. Though, the river of life could only make one soul fire every a hundred soul years, or a single human year.

This was why Liang Yan gave Liang Heyun a soul fire protecting armour.

The journey inside the forest was smooth, and there was no obstructions (*coughcough* protagonist halo dear *coughcoughcough*). Although it seemed scary, the Blue Soul Forest was actually quite beautiful. The scenery was in different shades of blue, and the details in every blue, differentiating a thing from the other, was exquisite. Even artists on earth would not be able to replicate. The blue could come very near to green or purple, but in the end, one would find out that it was actually blue.

Suddenly, a BANG was heard.

The plot was very cliche that Liang Heyun started to think twice. Some souls might be souls from the same time as hers, and they might did that to pique the interest of the 'heroic souls of justice'....what was he even thinking. Did he just refer himself as a...female?

Liang Heyun was stunned, though because he was naturally helpful, he walked towards the sound while constantly high on alert. He was still suspicious.

BANG!

This time, it was louder, and there was a painful low howl that accompanied the bang!

Liang Heyun quickly ran over to the sound, and saw two huge dragons caged in a cave.

I'm going to be very busy so it'll be 1 chapter every 2 weeks. The days I might update are Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday, and Sunday.

If there are 1 chapter per week or 2 chapters a week, that means it's a bonus chapter.
