Hangout and Camping

SONIC'S POV

Today we decided to meet at Meh-Burger. I went outside my shack and I was about to run to Meh-Burger but just then I remembered, my new neighbour, Sonica. I thought she would join us too. So, I ran to her house and knocked at the door. The door quickly opened.

"Good morning, Sonica." I said.

"Good morning." Sonica replied and crossed her arms while leaning against the doorframe. "So, you had some work?" she asked.

I nodded and said, "We decided to meet at Meh-Burger today. So... I thought if..."

She interrupted me, "No, I can't join you. I have some work." 

"Is this her attitude or what?" I thought to myself.

"No, no, I understand. But I would be glad-I mean we would be glad if you would join us too." I looked at her. "Please..." I requested.

"Fine." She sighed and came out.

"Great. Now lets go." I said.

And she nodded. "But where is this Meh-Burger?" She asked.

"You just have to follow me. Its not that far from here." I replied.

She sighed and we started walking. She walked beside me crossing her arms. But she didn't say anything. She was so...quiet.

Why does she always sigh?

"Anything wrong?" I asked.

"No." She replied in a monotone voice.

We continued walking and soon we reached Meh-Burger.

"We are here!" I said and she just nodded her head slowly.

She didn't say anything the whole time. I saw Amy, Knuckles, Tails and Sticks sitting there and I waved at them. They waved back.

"Come on!" I said to Sonica and went towards them.

She sighed and followed me.

"Hi, guys!" I said, ordered some chillidogs and sat beside Tails.

"Hey, Sonic." They replied.

Sonica was just standing there.

"Come on!" I said and asked her to take a seat.

She sighed and sat next to Sticks.

"Oh! Hi, Sonica." They said.

"Hello." She replied but in a monotone voice.

"Is something wrong with her?" I thought to myself.

"Have you guys eaten already?" I asked.

"No, we were waiting for you." replied  Tails.

"Thanks. So lets eat now." I said as I continued eating my chillidogs.

Everyone also started eating except...Sonica. She was just sitting there crossing her arms. Then I offered her a chillidog.

"Here." I said and gave her a chillidog.

"I don't want it." She replied.

But I insisted, "Try it once."

Then she replied, "Fine." and took a bite.

"How's it?" I asked.

"It's...good. I hadn't tasted anything like this before." she replied while looking at the chillidog.

"I know, right." I smiled and continued eating.

Sonica was also about to take another bite but just then the ground started shaking.

"It's Eggman!" Tails said.

"Everyone ready!" I said.

"But who's Eggman?" asked Sonica.

"He's an evil scientist who tries to destroy us and the village." replied Tails.

"But he never wins." I added and chuckled.

"Hm, I see." she said and then Eggman popped up with his bots.

There were many small bots like bee bot, motobug and crab bot as usual. But this time he had brought a big robot which he himself controlled from inside the robot.

"Be ready to lose, Sonic. Today I will get rid of you and your friends once and for all. Hahahahahah!!!!" said Eggman.

"We will see, Egghead. Everyone on their position!" I said and everyone except Sonica nodded.

Sonica just stood there leaning against the wall, crossing her arms. Her face looked emotionless.

Then the battle started. I curled up into a ball and used spin attack to destroy the bots. Amy crushed some of them with her hammer. Knuckles was of course punching them. Sticks used her boomerang and Tails hit the bots with a wrench. And....Sonica was just standing there, leaning against the wall with her arms crossed. But what I didn't notice was that Eggman's big robot was about to hit me and just then someone pulled me away.

And the one who pulled me was none other than Sonica! Sh-she was just standing there and now she is already here beside me. My friends were right, totally right.

"Thanky-" I got cut off by Sonica.

"Focus." she said. I nodded.

Then Eggman also saw Sonica and said, "Who's this another blue rat?" 

Then Sonica growled a little and said, "Mind your own business." And she started to go back where she was standing before.

But then Eggman said, "Oh! Is the blue rat scared?" He laughed.

But she didn't reply. She just stood there, leaning against the wall like before, crossing her arms.

"Did you just ignore me?"asked Eggman.

"Yeah, she did, Egghead." I smirked and continued the battle.

Then I used spin dash to hit him and it worked.

He fell off the robot and yelled, "Robots retrieve!!!" Then he called his egg mobile and flew away yelling, "This time you may have won, Sonic. But next time victory will be mine!!!!!!"

Then the other bots also went behind him. I smirked. I thought that the battle was over but I was wrong! That big robot was now out of control. It was moving here and there, destroying the houses.

"Oh, No!" I went inside the robot in order to control it but it was too complicated.

There were so many buttons. I didn't know what to do? I tried pressing a few buttons but it didn't work.

"Tails! I need a little help here!" I said but he didn't listen.

Then, Sonica also came inside the robot and pressed 2 or 3 buttons which made the robot shut down. But what went out of my mind was that there was only one seat inside the robot and I was already sitting there which means that....Sonica was sitting on my lap....Then she quickly jumped out of the robot and stood there crossing her arms like nothing happened. I also jumped out the robot and scratched my head while looking at Sonica. She didn't say anything.

Then Amy, Knuckles, Sticks and Tails came running towards us.

"Where were you, Tails? I was calling you for help!" I said.

"We were helping the villagers. Eggman had destroyed their houses!" replied Tails.

"I see." I replied.

"Oh! Looks like you defeated this robot." he said.

"I didn't do it all by my self. I couldn't control the robot and then, Sonica helped me. Isn't it, Sonica?" I replied and she nodded, still crossing her arms.

"Oh! But Sonica how did you know how to stop that robot?" asked Tails.

She replied in a monotone voice, "It was easy for me. I used to help Prof-" Then she stopped and uncrossed her arms.

"I am sorry. I didn't understand." said Tails again.

Then she quickly crossed her arms again and said, "It's nothing." in a monotone voice while looking away.

"But-" I cut off Tails and said, "I see. Hehe. Now lets just hangout at Meh-Burger again." Then everyone agreed.

- At Meh-Burger -

We were just sitting there bored. I and Knuckles were balancing the french fries. Hehe. Sonica was watching us with a emotionless expression.... Tails was working on some inventions. And Amy and Sticks were....maybe gossiping.

"Ugh! I am bored now!" said Amy. Then I came up with an amazing idea.

"I have an idea guys." I said.

The balanced french fries fell on the plate and everyone looked at me.

"What idea?" asked Amy.

"Why don't we go camping?" I replied.

Everyone eyes widened for a second and they looked at eachother well, except Sonica.

"So...Is it a 'yes' or a 'no' ?" I asked.

Then they (except Sonica) cheered at the same time, "YESSSS!!!" 

I smirked.

"Its a great idea, Sonic." Amy added and hugged me cheerfully.

"Ok ok, Amy." I said and separated the hug. "Phew!"

"But what about Eggman?" asked Sticks.

"Hmm...Maybe....we could-" I got cut off by someone.

"That won't be a problem. I will be here to protect the village." said someone in a heroic way. 

And that someone was Tommy Thunder. I wanted to laugh so hard but I controlled myself.

"Its not that easy, Tommy. Do you think you can do this all by yourself?" I asked.

"Yes, of course but I am not alone, there are beaver policemen too. Besides, you don't have any other option." he replied.

I looked at the gang and they nodded.

"Fine!" I said and crossed my arms.

"I shall not betray your trus-" I cut off Tommy and said, "Yeah,yeah, Whatever."

Now, everyone had agreed. But Sonica didn't say anything. She was just sitting there with her arms still crossed.

Why is she like that?!

"Is it a 'yes' from you too, Sonica?" I asked.

"No-" Amy cut off Sonica and said, "Of course, its a 'yes'. We will have a lot of fun. Isn't it Sonica?"

Then, Sonica sighed and said, "But I can't join you." 

"But why?" asked Amy.

"Because I don't want to." She replied in an annoyed way.

"Come on, Sonica. It won't be that bad." said Amy.

"Fine. If you say so." She replied in a monotone voice while looking at Amy.

Everyone was cheering.

"So, lets get ready!" I said.

Then everyone nodded.

"After we are done packing, we will meet again here." said Amy. Everyone nodded. And we were about to go to our respective houses but then Tails called Sonica. "Sonica! Here, I have finished working on this communicator." said Tails and gave the communicator to her.

"This is for me?" She asked.

"Mhm." Tails nodded.

"Th-thankyou." replied Sonica, hesitatingly.

"You don't like it?" asked Tails.

"Yes, I like it. Thankyou." she replied and put on the communicator on her wrists.

I smiled, then Sonica looked at me and I looked away. What's happening to me!!?

Then, everyone went home to pack their necessary stuff.

- Time skip -

Everyone had packed their stuffs and we all met Meh-Burger again. They brought backpacks and Knuckles carried the other stuffs like tent, etc.

"So, lets go!" I said and everyone nodded.

Then we started walking towards the hill where we would camp. On the way, I cracked some jokes and everyone laughed except Sonica as usual. We saw some insects on the way and Amy was scared and started hitting here and there with her hammer. I didn't know she would bring her hammer here, too. Then....Sticks squashed those insects with her feet.

"Eeeeww!" said Amy and I chuckled.

But still Sonica hadn't laughed, smiled nor talked. She was just walking quietly.

We continued walking and soon we reached our destination. We placed our bags on one side and enjoyed the view for sometime. Amy took some pictures as well.

"Say cheese!" She said and clicked some photos of us.

"Lets take a group photo!" She said and quickly clicked a photo.

"Um...Amy, Can I see those photos?" I asked.

"Yes, sure." She replied and showed me the photos.

Most of the photos were of Amy and to my surprise there were some photos which included Sonica. But in every photo, she had either face palmed or turned away. There wasn't a single accurate/proper photo of Sonica. Was she always like this?

"Lets play blind man's buff!" said Amy.

"Ok. So, you are the 'it' Amy" I said.

"Ok." she replied and I blindfolded her.

"Ready?" she asked.

"Yeah!" we said.

Then the game started. Amy started walking very slowly while her hands were extended forward.

"Where are you, guys? Give me a clue!" said Amy.

"Fine!" I said and winked at everyone as a signal.

Everyone nodded and started blabbering. "I am here! No,no not there. I am here. Here! Turn around. No, no turn left. No, no turn right." They said.

I chuckled. Amy was confused.

"Why are you all blabbering at the same time??" said Amy being a little annoyed.

I just chuckled again and everyone else started laughing.

"Ugh! I don't want to play this game!" said Amy and removed the blindfold.

"But you were the one who told to play this game." I said.

"But I don't want to play now!" she replied.

"Fine!"  I chuckled again.

Then I looked for Sonica but she was not here the whole time.

"Hey, where is Sonica?" I asked.

"I don't know. She was just here a moment ago." replied Amy.

"I saw her going towards the forest while we were playing." said Knuckles while trying to put on the blindfold on himself.

"Forget Sonica. Its time to set up the tents and the campfire!!!!" yelled Sticks.

"Oh, yes! I had forgotten about the those. But what about Sonica?" said Amy. I tried calling her through the communicator but got no reply.

"She is also not picking up the call. How about I go to search for Sonica and you guys continue to set up the tents and campfire?" I suggested.

"Hmm....Ok!" replied Amy and everyone else nodded.

"Be careful, Sonic." said Tails.

"I sure will." I replied and ran towards the forest.

Now, where could she be? Its a big forest. I ran here and there calling, "SONICAA!!!" but no use.

I went even deeper inside the forest. "Sonica!! Where are you?" I called out but no use.

I sighed and gave up. I was about to head towards the camp and just then I saw something from the corner of my eye near the river. I went towards the river and finally, FINALLY I found Sonica. There was a huge tree on the edge of the river and Sonica was hanging on one of the branches upside up with support of her legs. She had crossed her arms and closed her eyes. Maybe she was asleep.

I smiled and went closer to hear. "Sonica." I whispered in her ear. 

Then she quickly opened her eyes and was about to fall down but I caught her in bridal style. She quickly landed down and again crossed her arms.

"What are you doing here?" she asked.

"Well, I should be asking that!" I said.

Then she sighed and replied in a monotone voice, "I just came here to take some rest and clear my mind."

"Oh! But why were you hanging upside down?" I asked.

She growled lowly and said "Its my choice. Now, lets go."

And we headed towards the camp. "Wanna race?" I asked.

"If you say so." She replied.

I nodded. "Ready, 1,2,3. . .GO!" I yelled and started running and so did Sonica.

She was running right beside me with an emotionless expression. I just looked at her and didn't realize that there was a tree ahead of me.

"Look out!" She said and pushed me aside.

We both fell on the bush. She quickly stood up but I stood up slowly. There were leaves stuck on us and on our heads. I had injured my left elbow and right leg a little bit and there were alot of scratches. Sonica had alot of scratched too but she didn't act as if she was hurt. She just held her right elbow and started walking.

"Come on." she said.

I nodded and also started walking.

Soon, we reached the camp. Amy, Knuckles, Tails and Sticks had finished setting up everything.

"We are back!" I said while holding my injured elbow.
