Issue 18: X Factor End

The person standing in front of him was none other than Agent Maria Hill, one of Nick Fury's best S.H.I.E.L.D. agents.

Appearing for the first time in the Avengers film, she has been seen as one of Fury's most capable agents, and one whom he trusts. She was both a competent field agent and a right-hand woman of Fury.

Peter held out his hand, and after shaking it, Agent Hill went onto MJ, shaking her hand as well.

Maria then looked to Electra who was still holding her arms around Matt's neck and making out when she coughed, "Agent Black Sky!"

Electra pouted as she let go of Matt and declared, "Don't worry about the Hand-Operatives around your apartment, Maria over there has already picked them up."

"That's good to know! Thank you." Matt said thanking the S.H.I.E.L.D. agent.

"It's no problem, all part of the job," Maria responded.

Peter was just about to web away when Danny held his hand out and asked, "Spider-Man, can I see you again sometime? If you want you can visit my girlfriend's Dojo if you want to find me! The name of the Dojo is Chikara."

The reason he was asking, was because he sensed a power Chi inside Peter, and was wondering how he achieved such a thing without killing a dragon.

Peter smiled under his mask and said, "Iron Fist, was it?"

Danny nodded his head in affirmation.

Peter then pulled out his Spidey-Use only phone and asked, "You got a number?"

The two exchanged numbers while MJ talked to Colleen, after a few minutes of idle chatter, the four of them parted ways as friends.

As Peter and MJ were webbing back she shouted while zipping through the air, "I'm exhausted, I'm just gonna go home and crash. What about you?"

Peter smiled and answered, "The same!" After all, he had been awake since the Negative-Zone incident, and he was truly at his wit's end and was mentally exhausted.

After Electra's little rouse to use Matt and himself, Peter didn't have to worry about guarding her anymore, since she was still working for Shield in all.

Peter still couldn't believe she used herself and Matt as bait just to capture one of the Hand's leaders.

"She's not one of the best assassins in the world for nothing." Peter thought as he reached his neighborhood.

After a long kiss with MJ, the two retired to their rooms and crash over their beds.

The next morning Peter woke up and stretched his arms and shut his alarm off. As he did, Peter suddenly felt his head getting heavier as the voice of a certain trouble-maker sounded out. "Ga!"

Peter looked in the mirror that was at the end-side of his bed and on his dresser which was pressed against his wall.

Seeing the Bamf sitting on top of his head, Peter lifted a brow as he asked, "What are you doing back here? I haven't seen you since I left Dr. Strange's place."

The Bamf shouted, "Gii!" and then continued to mumble on top of his head with a displeased expression.

"So, Kurt is always around Kitty and you can't get any alone time with her. Then you decided to come chill with me since fun things are always happening around me!" It took a few seconds for Peter to register what just occurred, "Did I just understand you?"

Peter realized that it wasn't the first time either, back when he handed over the satchel, Peter thought he heard the Bamf say, "Okay!" but he believed it was just his imagination.

Peter was then informed by Webster that as long as he was in contact with the species, the Symbiote could translate their metal waves into his native language.

"Thanks, Webster," Peter said as he put the Bamf down on his table.

"Look, my aunt and uncle don't know I'm Spider-Man, and I don't think they'll let me keep an interdimensional species in my room." Peter mentioned.

"Grwaaow!" The Bamf waved its arm around.

Peter watched the Bamf beg with a big puppy-dog pout before he caved in and said, "I suppose you can act like plushy if Aunt May comes in. If you can fool my Uncle and Aunt, you can stay."

"Gra!" The Bamf responded.

"What's a Plushy?" Peter repeated the Bamf before answering, "It's a type of doll. Just stay real still. I suppose you could teleport to the cellar-lab as well."

"GIi" (Fine with me!) The Bamf shouted.

"Thank you!" Peter responded.

After settling the house rules with the Bamf, Peter went downstairs to grab a bit to eat.

With a bowl of cereal in Peter's hands, he sat down a watched the news for a bit to see if good old J.J.J had anything to say about the Rhino and Electro's escape. Unfortunately, the two villains have been laying low all night.

However, Peter knew it was only a matter of time before they made a commotion.

He turned off the T.V and wash his dishes. Peter then started to head towards his lab when MJ called him.

"Heya Tiger, our Privet Investigator has a lead! Care to join me in a day of web-slinging?"

Peter heard the intense winds blowing through the phone speaker. He then smiled and answered her question with another question, "Are you where I think you are?"

"I'm already waiting for you there. I'm telling you, the reception is crystal clear up here." MJ laughed out.

Peter grab his jacket off the coat rack near the door and shouted, "I'm going out on a date with Mary Jane. I'll check in every now and then to let you know we're okay."

Peter then ran out of the house and ducked into an alleyway before webbing out the other side in full costume.

After a few minutes of slinging across the city, Peter felt the moment when everything around him faded away and only he and the wind rushing by him existed. He zipped through the rooftops and jumped over entire buildings with incredible acrobatic prowess, and as he reached the Empire State Building, Peter saw his girlfriend waving at him from the top of the spire.

"About time!" MJ shouted at Peter as he ran up the wall.

After reaching the top, Peter ran down the thin pole and yanked MJ into the air as they both jumped off.

Using their Symbiotes to make a Squirrel Suit, the two and shot off in the direction of the Alias Investigation building.

Actually, although he knew about it, MJ was the first one who suggested turning their suits into gliders. She got the idea while was looking at vacation pamphlets and saw one that had someone in Squirrel Suit flying down a mountainside.

MJ laughed she and Peter attempted their first flight, and thanks to their webbing they could simply launch themselves into the air to glide again. Peter thought it was a pretty cool idea, and they took such a liking to base-jumping, they decided to jump off the Empire State Building every once and a while for fun.

Within minutes, Peter and Mary Jane landed on the side of the apartment complex and knocked on the window of the Alias Office.

Peter was surprised to find out, that it wasn't Jessica, but her older brother that was supposed to have died in a car accident. This was the first real major difference in any timeline Peter had seen in his previous life.

As in every other version of Jessica Jones, she had lost her parents and Phil was supposed to be her little brother.

In this timeline, he was 7 years older than Jessica and was working during the car accident where he was supposed to die. According to Peter's memories, then sometime soon Jessica would be waking up from her Comma and would meet the purple man, a.k.a Killgrave shortly after discovering her powers.

Like hell would Peter let that psychopath crush and ruin her dreams of being a Hero! At least, not while Spider-Man was around it wouldn't come to pass. He even had the perfect way to end Killgrave's reign of terror, forever, and with what he planned, it wasn't going to be nice.

Peter pushed that matter aside for now and sat down to go over Philips findings, Peter was surprised at how thorough Phill was in his investigation. He not only managed to find Rhino and Electro's girlfriend, he even found out where they had a high chance of showing up.

Targets based on their personality traits were outlined in red. A bank that had electrical locks rather than old fashioned steel. As for Rhino, he liked to knock over cash transporters and was a creature of habit. So he would likely target supply lines that he had stolen from in the past.

Peter paid the man by leaving a thousand dollars under the near-empty bottle of whiskey and thanked him for his services with a note. They then webbed off towards an old Russian mob hold out.

When the two Super-Heroes arrived at an abandoned apartment complex that was shut down due to a drug bust, they stood across from the building and took notice of the worn-down condition it was in.

It had been empty for years and was awaiting demolition. However, with how lazy city hall was, it would take years more for them to get the job done.

"Pretty ingenious actually, who in their right minds would make a hideaway in a building that's scheduled to be blown up," MJ said crawling on the ceiling of the building's top floor.

"It's a hideaway that only has to change locations once demolition begins. Al they have to do is relocate to another building under the same circumstances. That Phill is a good detective. Maybe I should ask him to teach me a thing or two." Peter said as he crawled behind her.

They explored most of the building's structure when they discovered a hidden room, or more precisely a sealed-off room. Peter noticed that the dimensions of the floor were different than what they should be and that a room should be where a wall was.

Entering the room beside it, the Spider-Heroes started searching everywhere. Peter covered the bathroom, the kitchen, and the living room, while MJ checked the bedrooms and bedroom bathrooms.

Suddenly, Mary Jane managed to find something in the bedroom closet as she whispered loudly, "Peter! I found a hidden hatch!"

Thanks to MJ's efforts, she found an additional room that had a descending and winding staircase that was big enough for a Hippo to make their way down.

"Are these I-Beams?" MJ questioned as she looked at the stairs.

"It would have to be to hold up the Rhino," Peter answered as they made their way down the staircase and ended up in a buried and long-forgotten subway tunnel.

Taking a few steps into the soft soil, the two Spider-Heroes easily spotted Rhino's bigfoot impression trailing down a long and winding tunnel.

They continued to follow the Rhino's footprints until they traversed their way to a large train track cross-section that served as the old train's maintenance tunnel.

There, Peter and Mary saw the Rhino bench-pressing a train car up and down like a weightlifting bar.

Peter shook his hand to MJ and the two got into position. They crawled to the opposite side of the Rhino and were ready to pounce. Without out any warning, the two Spider-Heroes webbed up the Rhino's arms and pulled them out.

A loud clang rang out as the train cart fell on his face and sent up a plume of dust around him.

Unfortunately, he was still conscious. Their spider-sense tingled like crazy as the Rhino roared and tore apart the train with his bare hands, sending debris flying everywhere in the process.

The Spider-Couple dodged with ease and webbed away a few chunks of steel that came close to hitting them before landing safely a few feet away.

"Who the hell has the nerve ta come after the RHINO?!" Rhino screamed out when Peter suddenly webbed his mouth shut and said, "I did you grey hippopotamus."

The Rhino had no idea who the funny kid in the costume was, but before he could retaliate MJ appeared behind him and hit him directly in the back with a Chi covered slap.

Crimson red Chi blew up in a flash of bright light and forced the Rhino to fall forward. Peter followed up her attack with a powerful spring-kick to the villain's chin, sending the Rhino flying back into the wrecked train.

The Rhino yelled like a maniac as he blindly charged out again. Peter couldn't risk him bringing down the tunnel, so he began rapidly webbing the Rhino arms back and legs and slammed his feet into the ground trying to stop him from trading about and damaging the tunnel's support pillars.

MJ launched a series of Impact webbing to build up a large blob of webbing that surrounded the support beams while Peter continued to shoot webbing around his legs, arms, and torso.

MJ joined in and helped Peter turn the Rhino into a silk-cocoon.

Then, pulling back with all their strength, the two Spider-Heroes stomped on his face with a flying stomp-kick.

Blood spewed out from the Rhino's broken nose as their spider-senses tingled. The Rhino suddenly grabbed their legs and slammed them into the ground a few dozen times.

A surge of pain swept throughout their backs, but the two fought through it. They shouted back at the Rhino as they webbed up his eyes and began repeatedly punching him in the face with Chi-Infused fists until the giant oaf collapsed.

Peter and MJ stood over his body and were both panting heavily. Although they had healed from the damage, their backs were still broken several times during his last assault and caused them both a lot of pain.

Peter stood over him thinking of how he was going to deal with the Rhino, when suddenly, he had an Idea.

Peter sent out Webster to cover Rhino and remove the strengthening formula from his genes.

"Those morons in Marvel are using the Symbiotes all wrong. With this kind of genetic control, I think I can become even stronger than I previously thought I could," Peter thought as the Rhino's body began to shrink in both height and girth.

This continued until the Rhino reached the size of a peak 6-foot tall muscle builder, instead of his 8 feet hulk-type body.

Peter then had Webster separate the genetic-waste and unwanted mutations out of the stolen serum. Using Webster, Peter slowly perfected the formula through both his and the Symbiote's knowledge.

After a long discussion with Webster, the two managed to resolve any issues they had with the serum. Peter then smiled while Webster altered the structure of the chemical compound and held the finished product in his hands.

A red pool of strengthening serum the size of a small-ball hovered over the hand of Peter's Symbiote as he then split it into two and transferred the other half to MJ.

MJ was surprised as her Symbiote absorbed the serum and started to enhance her spider gene's strengths. She didn't grow in muscle mass, but rather, she felt a change in the composition of her muscles. He couldn't give her mutations like he got, but serums on the other hand, could be shared.

The words Peter spoke to her before drifted into Mary's thoughts, if her muscles used to be gold, now they're diamond.

Peter felt the same change in his body and was surprised that it strengthened his spider gene as it did. The only explanation for that is that the serum strengthening effect replaced that particular section in their spider-genes.

"The formula has to be close to the original Spider-Formula for this to happen." Peter pondered as he looked over to MJ and continued his train of thought, "Meaning Osborn or some other company must be trying to recreate it. First Toombstone and now this…I should try and find out where this stuff is coming from."

Peter started to wonder if he could do this to mutants and cosmic mutations as he asked, "Can I completely remove and steal the Mutant Gene from other people?"

"No sorry Peter, but I can only take away powers from Mutates, not Mutants. At most, I can sap or seal their power for a while, but eventually, they will recover. People like Rhino who relied on a super enhancement method using chemicals are different. With Mutates like them, I can completely remove the drug from their bloodstream and return them to their previous forms," Webster answered.

"Ohh! This is good news!" Peter accidentally said aloud.

Seeing MJ lift a brow, he turned to her and scratched his head before saying, "Sorry, I was talking to Webster just now. How do you feel?"

MJ gripped her fist and answered with a smile, "Strong, really strong! But, what was it that you did?"

Peter laughed before he explained how the Rhino got his powers. He told her how he removed the impurities and the unwanted side effects such as massive physical growth in weight and muscle mass.

"Okay, but why did you do it?" MJ asked again.

"Why not?" Peter said as he patted the Rhino's head before continuing his monolog, "It was the best way to return him to being a normal human. Now, he can't break out of prison anymore, and won't be causing any future trouble as the Rhino ever again. And since the strengthening formula was just up for grabs, I thought, why not put it to good use."

MJ nodded her head as what he said made a lot of sense, when what Peter said next made her shake," Something big is coming in the future, and we need to be prepared for it. From what other world Peter told me their monsters out there that could slaughter gods and entire universes, I just want to get strong enough to protect you and the rest of my loved ones."

MJ kissed him on the cheek and said, "Thank you for worrying, Tiger!"

Peter smiled back and they proceeded to carry the webbed up Rhino across N.Y before leaving him on the NYPD's front steps with a note saying, "This is what the Rhino looks like after having his horns pulled out by your friendly neighborhood Spidey Couple. Feel free to do a D.N.A analysis to confirm his identity as Aleksei Sytsevich."

"Now off to stake out the Light-Bulb's girlfriend," Peter shouted as they webbed off towards their next location.
